Although she’d never met a funeral director until now, she wasn’t surprised to learn that males outnumbered females in that particular field. It made sense in its own weird way, but that just made stumbling upon Moira all that more special. Like an albino owl or a three legged cat or something equally uncommon.

“Hey, I can’t blame anyone for getting shitfaced. I do too on occasion, but I do that at home because I’ll be honest; you can’t trust anyone out there. I’ve seen the types of people that hang around in bars, even mine, and they’re not the kind of people you wanna lose your inhibitions around.” She explained, trying to get her mind off the subject quickly because she really didn’t want to dwell on thoughts of the shady individuals she’d seen before. “Are you absolutely sure you don’t need to call a cab or something? At least let me walk with you to wherever the fuck you need to go. Don’t want you to get hit by a moped again, you know.” She said, shooting Moira a devious little wink.

Now there was a drunk stagger if she’d ever seen one. She normally didn’t get involved in other people’s lives, but the fact that the shorter woman was by herself and carrying around a glass bottle that very easily could’ve been dropped and shattered made her reconsider. “Hey, drunk bitch!” Lorelei called after her, taking a few steps in her direction but keeping her distance just in case she decided to get violent. “Should probably call a cab so you don’t fall over and break your ass or get hit by a car or something. This part of town’s shady as fuck if you hadn’t noticed.”

Well, at least that was something she could understand. Body modification came in all shapes and sizes, much of which Lorelei hadn’t considered for herself but could definitely appreciate it on others. Tattoos and piercings were one thing, but the stitching and sharpened teeth? Definitely interesting and definitely not something she could so easily dismiss. 

“It’s not a tattoo gun.” She corrected with a sharp tone, silvery blue eyes darting up to give him an equally sharp look. “They hate it when you call it that. It gives the totally wrong impression.” Lorelei focused her attention on the stitching once again, leaning in closer to get a better look with no regard for personal space. She had no fucks to give. “So you just... stitch yourself up like a stuffed toy? That’s pretty cool. I haven’t done anything wild myself, but I keep waiting for just the right thing to come up.”

“Dude, what the fuck!” Lorelei screeched, throwing her hands up as if she couldn’t believe the fucking audacity of this punk. “Where’s your fuckin’ shirt? And a better question, the fuck’s all this shit?” She asked, gesturing with a black nail toward all the… well, whatever that was. “Those are the gnarliest stitches I’ve ever seen. At least I think they’re stitches; you’re like some kinda fucked up patchwork doll made of skin.” She’d seen a lot of weird shit in her time with the body mod community, but this was extreme even by her standards. 

“I mean, that’s kinda fucking metal from an artistic aspect but… Did you do this shit yourself or do you have an artist that you work with? How do you prevent the infection? Also what do you even call this?” She asked, fully convinced it was just some elaborate body modification for self-expression purposes.
