“Hello, I am a gay man who lives in a homophobic country and I am moving out soon due to the extreme amount of homophobia I face daily. My family are Palestinian and Filipino immigrants and are poor and disadvantaged. My Palestinian side is a poor family based in Gaza and my Filipino side are mostly poor farmers. I grew up in a dysfunctional abusive household and have suffered sexual abuse due to my gender non conformity. I suffer from numerous mental illnesses that make my daily life a pain to go through.
While I got very close friends that I talk to daily online, I never really had any real life friends, until the landlord of my apartment building showed me a cat that I had no home. I desperately wanted companionship so I took her in and named her Queen. She was shy at first, but after a few days she started sleeping next to me and purring. As the weeks went on, we grew closer and closer and closer. I related to her a lot, she was a small, incredibly anxious cat who meowed too much. Over a month I completely fell in love with her. She would follow me around the house and cuddle in my bed at night. She helped me cope with my loneliness and my mental illnesses. Her presence has been a shining beacon of hope in my miserable life. But now I need to help her.
I’m moving out of the country soon in order to escape my homophobic family, but I don’t have enough money to take Queen with me. I can’t stand the idea of losing my feline friend, she’s like a daughter to me. And I’m terrified that she won’t find a good home. There are no shelters where I live and people treat pets badly here. I need at least 600 dollars to pay for the costs of transporting her and giving her the proper care she needs to get through the stress of traveling. I want her to be with me through my journey of freedom, I need help.”
Please help my friend!! He is a gay man with hardly any money, and needs to flee the country in a few months. Since Saudi Arabia has no animal rights or shelters, he is afraid to leave his beloved cat behind. I am desperate to help him stay with his cat.
If you can’t donate, please at least share. Your reblog could very well be the key to him gaining the funds to save his cat. Thank you. 💗

Nüshu (literally “women’s writing” in Chinese) is a syllabic script created and used exclusively by women in the Jiangyong County in Hunan province of southern China. Up until the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) women were forbidden access to formal education, and so Nüshu was developed in secrecy as a means to communicate. Since its discovery in 1982, Nüshu remains to be the only gender-specific writing system in the world.
