Persona 1 & 2 Manga Scans

GUESS WHAT! I was able to fully scan one of my persona manga anthologies. I can't find a wealth of information about this one but I'm pretty sure it's from 2001 and exclusively features 4koma/comics/illustrations by Eri Takenashi. The scans are a tad poopy but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. THANKS!

Thanks for the reply! ^^ Yes, all the Doujinshi I have are 20+ years, which are safe to view. Ah dang that sucks you can't get them. I was lucky enough to get them from a shop before it closed. Thanks again for the advice!

Hello! I have few Persona 2 Doujinshi and I want to post them on tumbler (raw not translated). I never posted manga before so not sure about the do and do not lol. Any advice? :)

If you got them from somewhere online (if you got the images from pixiv, or from a creator's patreon/fanbox, or etc) the best to do is to ask the creator if it's okay to repost them. the patreon specifically - since it's paid content they might not like it being reposted.

if say, you got a 20-year old fan 4koma anthology from mercari, or went to a shop and got a rather more recent one, i think you're good to post it. if one of the creators somehow shows up and asks to remove it it's the polite thing to do so.

hmmm after that i say just tag accordingly? if there's ns-fw content and etc. That's about all I know but someone more knowledgeable about fan scanlation could help us out here in the comments/reblogs. I'm mostly just one dragon with a n5-4 knowledge of japanese and a few helpful books, scanlating something cuz I didn't see anyone else doing it at the time.

Thank you for wanting to post it, by the way! It's hard to purchase foreign products nowadays cuz of all the taxes, I simply can't afford it anymore. and wouldn't you know it, 4koma anthologies aren't one of my country's main exports >_>;

The final chapter is done, thus completing the entire book! Thank you everyone who stuck with me this long and for all the people who have helped me along the way.

I'll upload the pictures here as soon as I am able, since I also have to go back and fix the mess with the imgur links anyhow, but first here is the link so you can download it yourself. It is HEAVY at 1gb so watch out.

A few ground rules.

• DO NOT CREDIT ME OUTSIDE OF TUMBLR. IF you're uploading outside of tumblr, mentioning it outside of tumblr, Do not link back to this blog. If asked about the origin, say the original scanner has asked not to be credited. If they ask to read the manga, give them the zip file.

•If I get a cease and desist I am going to be so fucking mad I swear. Behave. Don't talk about it on twitter or instagram or whatever the hell the youths use nowadays. You wouldn't tell a cop who your illegal spring knives dealer is, so don't go on twitter posting pannels from the scanlation. The raws should be fine, but use common sense.

•Feel free to retranslate, redraw, use for edits, amvs, fancams, icons, whatever you'd please. Feel free to pay a proper translator to give this a look. Just upload it somewhere I can see afterwards, so I can know once and for all what the hell a sarumatango is.

• I will re-scan the first few chapters myself and re-typeset them since I now have not-ugly fonts. This means there WILL be a second file eventually. Keep an eye out.

I just want to say that you’re a GOD SEND for your translations. I never thought that Persona 2 has that many anthologies and comics?? I’m very bad with words but I have to write this little message to show my appreciation. Thank you! They really made my day.

you're much too kind!! i have to say i'm not doing this alone, there's a lot more people who have done or are doing persona 2 translations and everyone should give them some thanks as well!

back in the day i think we've seen close to 36 books of anthologies? at least being sold. i'm unable to buy them anymore grrr, european taxes, but for anyone who can i believe they should still being sold thru a lot of japanese proxies.

and hey~ scanning's not too hard~ wink wink wink~ show me those anthologies.... (tries to wink and a paper crushing noise happens)

you're too sweet!! Though a word of warning, a lot of the longer chapters were hosted in full in imgur. Due to them Deleting everything made by someone without an account, they're now gone and I'm working on getting everything back up.

several, in fact! I'm told these anthologies were made by fans with permission rather than being hired officially by atlus, but they're always a fun read.

Most of it IS gag manga, my beloved, but the tone of the stories mostly depends on the book they're in. If its a 4koma, you can expect a comedic tone!

The only problem I have with Eternal Punishment Hiroki is that in no universe Hiroki would be taller than Eikichi. Also if it existed back then Hiroki would listen to Three Days Grace.

Completely agreed. Hiroki has energy of being chest height to eikichi and i dont care how tall you have to make eikichi this must be true

No problem!

For most of the ones I've uploaded, you can get the original japanese pages through the "transparent raws"/"raws" link. It will look like nothing on the imgur page, since its black on black, but if you click to zoom in and save the image it should appear.

Of course, I plan on uploading the file with raws, transparent wordless pages, translated pages, cover, back, illustrations And advertisements once im done with this last one.
