Rattled
cw//tw//~ none, just mention of a wanker u worked with - non descript xx
You were at the front counter of the auto shop finishing a write up for a customer when two tall men came in. They looked like the typical type to hassle you but that wasn’t anything new so you pasted on a smile and welcomed them in,
“Good Afternoon, Can I help you two with anything?”
“Oh, I’m counting on it sweetheart.” The shorter of the two drawled with a charming smile as he looked at you like you were a candy bar and you rolled your eyes,
“Ignore him.” The other one said, offering you an apologetic puppy dog face and you kicked up the tiniest nod, “We were hoping you’d be able to tell us a bit about a guy who was working here. He-“
“Why?” you interrupted, shifting your gaze between them both in suspicion and the puppy awkwardly smiled,
“We’re working on an article for the local paper and were just hoping to shed some more light on what he was like… you know, day to day.”
“He was a misogynistic, self-serving pig. Anything else?” you jabbed, flashing a sarcastic smile at them both and the charmer’s eyebrows raised in something between surprise and impressed,
“So, he wasn’t a good boss I take it?” he sarked and you laughed,
“He wasn’t a good employee, sunshine. I’m the boss.”
“Wow, that is so ho-“ he was cut off by the other one clearing his throat aggressively and he swerved, “awesome.”
“How long had you worked with him?” Floppy hair asked,
“3 weeks.” You were curt, these two were definitely not journalists, “Look, I have a soft spot for misfits and strays but don’t tolerate people like him.”
“People like him?”
The taller one kept talking to you whilst the other was wandering around your reception area, fidgeting with all of the parts and knick knacks you had everywhere and then he dropped something. He jumped back and then scrambled to pick it up and put it back like no one would notice, despite your eyes burning a hole in the back of his head. As he turned back around he made a face like a caught child and you almost let yourself giggle.
“Thank you very much for your time, Miss.” He wrapped up as his clumsy sidekick made his way back to the desk and flashed that same butter wouldn’t melt smile at you,
“May we, uh, have a name? You know, to source for our article.” He slied, tilting his head at you as he leaned over the counter,
“Y/N.” you stated plainly,
“Thank you, Y/N.” he husked and you nodded. You followed his eyes as he realised that your name and number were in fact on a stack of business cards right in front of him and he sounded like a cartoon character,
“Aha, right. Well, I’ll just take one of these in case we have any follow up questions.” And punctuated his sentence with a wink
“Knock yourself out.” You sang and went back to work.
“Dean, you gotta stop with that whole heartthrob routine. It clearly doesn’t always work.” Sam chastised his brother as they walked back out towards the car and Dean scoffed,
“Dude, come on. It was totally working. She’s just more…” he gestured vaguely as he tried desperately to find the words, “restrained.”
“Uninterested is the word I think you’re looking for.”
“Not a chance Sammy.” And then as if on cue, you came out of the shop after noticing what they were about to get into,
“This is your car?” you asked, trying to stifle your excitement but it wasn’t really working,
“Yes, yes it is.” He nodded before turning to Sam and giving him an ‘I told you so’
“Sweet ride.”
“Oh, you have no idea.” He rasped and you very subtly raised an eyebrow at him,
“You should definitely call me…” you started and he perked up, “a klutz like you can’t be trusted with a beauty like this.” You teased and Sam could’ve sworn he saw Dean’s heart thumping out of his chest like a giant valentine. While his brother silently laughed to himself, Dean scrambled to find another line,
“What about a beauty like you?”
You scoffed out a brisk laugh and rolled your eyes, “Wow… you don’t give up do you?”
“Nope.”
“Okay boomerang… what’s your name?”
“Dean.” He smiled brightly with a smugness in your eyes that you wanted to smack out of him,
“Well Dean, you have my number. Use it wisely… if you think you can handle it.” You whispered the latter half of your invitation before turning your head to Sam and simply waving him goodbye.
Sam returned your gesture and then got into the Impala, waiting for Dean who was awestruck by you. It took for Sam to hit the horn and jump scare Dean into a little frightened dance for his daze to be broken.
“You’re a real jackass, you know that.” Dean grumbled as he got into the driver’s seat,
Sam was laughing out his whole response, “She rattled you. This is my favourite day.”
“Shut up.” Dean snapped before further muttering to himself, “no she didn’t”
But he knew full well that you had and it was a feeling he was ready to chase.

Sketchy
cw//tw//~ knives, blood, bruising, biting, vvv subtle lowkey hints towards sub/dom dynamic, one brutal physical assault (he's very protective... what can i say)
You were walking to your next class when someone’s shoulder slammed into you and sent you flying back into the lockers-
“Ow, Jesus.” You muttered, moving your shoulder back and forth to ensure that you still could,
“Stay out of my way.” Debbie Marlston, your most common tormenter glared at you and you rolled your eyes before continuing towards the classroom.
You sat towards the back of the room and used the time to focus more on a personal project than pay attention to the teacher’s lesson, it wasn’t anything that you didn’t already know anyway. As you sketched out the next frame of your project, someone cleared their throat beside you to get your attention,
“What?” you snipped, not even bothering to look up at them because you knew who it was,
“See, that sparkling attitude is exactly why you have no friends…”
“Well what are you then huh? A charity worker?” you quipped and your best friend laughed,
“This is really coming along. I’ve never seen you so focused… or inspired.” She held one of your loose pages and inspected it, “Shits getting kinda dark though, don’t you think?”
She was holding a drawing of a scene where your protagonist was covered in her own blood after letting someone carve a confession into her skin- it was graphic but that was kind of the point,
“Not even close. Not yet.” You smiled and she laughed,
“Whatever, just don’t cut me up into tiny pieces when you finally lose it.”
After school, you made your way home by taking your usual route along the creek and you were silently plotting out the next chapters of your story when you were interrupted,
“Your arm.” He growled and you turned your head,
“Patrick, it’s nothing.”
“It’s not fucking nothing, tell me who.” He demanded, grabbing your waist to still your frame. His dark eyes were boring into your soul and you knew that you if didn’t tell him, he’d just take it out on everyone.
“Debbie.”
“Good Girl.” He praised and you swallowed before walking again, “Ah, hold on. You haven’t shown me the next part.”
You nodded and handed him your sketchbook. He flipped through it, his smirk growing into a full blown proud smile by the end,
“I like this part.” He announced lowly and you subtly smiled,
“Figured you might, you sick freak.”
“Which part do you want to recreate tonight then, princess?” he asked, slinging his arm around your shoulders,
“It’s nothing we haven’t done before… maybe you should come up with something inspiring, Trickster.” You teased and he raised an eyebrow,
“Challenge accepted.”
Patrick was trailing kisses all over your bare skin when he reached the bruise that he hadn’t made,
“No one ever gets to mark you but me, you understand?” it wasn’t really a question so much as a command and you just nodded slowly to express your compliance, “Good girl. Roll over.” He said, lifting your hips and helping you do as he had said. He pulled his pocket knife from his jeans and lightly skimmed the tip of the blade along your spine before he used his free hand to grip into your waist and where his thumb had left an impression, he made a cut. You hissed but you certainly didn’t dislike the feeling.
“Just mapping you out baby.” He whispered, kissing the opposite side before doing the same thing so that you would have symmetrical scars.
His breath fanned your neck before he sunk his teeth into your uninjured shoulder, breaking the skin and very lightly sucking as he released his bite,
“Ready for me yet, angel?” he asked and you only answered him with pleas, begging him to give you what you needed. He chuckled lowly at how desperate you’d become and how pliable you were for him. That was probably his favourite thing about you
“Dude! Did you hear?” your best friend bombarded you the second you set foot inside the school,
“Hear what?”
“Y/N, Debbie Marlston was attacked last night.” She blurted and you just stared at her blankly,
“How?”
“Her neighbour is Hilary’s cousin and he said that she was like in her backyard or whatever, having a smoke and then this guy came out of nowhere and cut her fingers off with those like giant hedge scissor things, isn’t that so insane?” she was shocked and kinda grossed out but she definitely wasn’t upset and neither were you…
“Do they know who did it?”
“Fucking clueless. Whoever it was, they did us all a favour if you ask me.”
Patrick naturally followed you home, as always and so as you were walking you asked
“Hedging shears… who’d you steal those from?”
He laughed, “That’s what you’re worried about?”
“Not worried, just curious. They better not have come from my house, Hockstetter.” You warned,
“You don’t even have any hedges idiot.” He drawled before he cupped your face with a firm grip and his expression shifted drastically as his eyes narrowed at you, “Now, what did I say?”
“Not to worry about it.” You whispered meekly,
“There’s my girl.” He smiled, “What else do you say?”
“Thank you.” Your voice was still hushed but he nodded at you,
“That’s fucking right.”

** this is part of something hugenormous i'm working on that's like... pre pilot supernatural but i love this lil part so much- also, the whole things entirely self serving and i currently have red hair so those details have been omitted but it does make it clunky and im sorry**
~~ you're working in a Coyote Ugly style bar at the time of this~~
You were up on the bar, having the time of your life as you ran through the choreography. After you'd shaken your ass in a circle, you whipped your head around and happened to catch a familiar face in the crowd. You got so excited that you jumped down and ran to him, throwing your arms around his neck and he hugged you, lifting your feet off the ground.
"What are you doing here?" you chirped as he set you back down,
"Thought i'd surprise you." Dean smiled,
"I gotta get back up there and finish but you'll wait for me, right?"
"Course." he nodded and watched as you leapt back up onto the bar and didn't even miss a beat.
As you were slinging drinks at drunken crowds, Dean was bumped into by some imbecile who thought it was the perfect way to open up a conversation
"Dude! You know the *your hair colour* right?" the guy slurred, far too excitedly for Dean's liking and his jaw clenched,
"Yep." he gritted,
"Holy shit! She your girl?" the stranger asked and Dean glanced over at you before nodding,
"She's smokin' hot. I come here every night to watch her."
"Yeah. Okay pal." Dean chastised, walking away and finding a seat at the corner of the bar to wait until your shift finished.
A couple hours later you came back out from behind the bar and beamed at him,
"Alright hot shot, take me home."
"As you wish." he playfully bowed his head at you and you shoved his arm as you laughed. Dean stayed cautiously close to you, his hand pressed gently against your shoulder blade as you walked,
"Why are you being weird?" you asked at his sudden touchiness,
"Because some drunk idiot told me he's here every night for a smoking hot *your hair colour*." he hushed chivalrously, "Doesn't sit right with me."
"Oh," you nodded, pausing your steps and facing him, "who's the girl?"
Dean rolled his eyes dramatically and grabbed a handful of your hair, holding it up to your face as he huffed and you realised they'd both been talking about you,
"Oh."
"Yeah, oh." he mocked, irritated with your lack of self awareness
"You could be preventing me from meeting the love of my life you know." you teased lightly, smiling as you let him open the door for you,
"Y/N, the love of your life is not that guy." he said in disgust as he sneered towards the man he'd spoken to earlier who was now puking next to a dumpster,
"Okay, probably not." you conceded with a giggle as you let Dean manoeuvre you slightly in front of him.
Keeping a hand firmly on your waist, he lead you out to the impala and opened that door for you too.
As the engine turned over he cleared his throat and asked,
"You ever think about that?"
"Think about what?" you asked, tossing your hair up into a ponytail
"I mean... you know, like love." he uttered awkwardly and your head tilted as you thought about it,
"No. Not really." you paused, "Not ever."
"Ever?" he asked surprised, quickly flicking his head toward you and then back at the road,
"No? I mean... can't miss what you never had i guess. So, i don't think about it." you confessed,
"Right," he dragged, "but you don't ever think about like... being with someone."
"hmm... nope."
"Don't all girls dream about their weddings?" he tried to lighten the mood and you smiled but there wasn't any humour in your voice,
"That's not very realistic for people like us, is it?"
His head cocked to the side, "Well... no. Probably not."
"Do you think about it?" you asked and he paused for a while, pursing his lips slightly as the thought,
"Sometimes, yeah."
You were nodding silently as you actually did begin to think about it for the first time ever,
"For what it's worth..." he turned towards you and you continued, "i think you'd be the coolest husband."
"Yeah?" he smirked proudly, "I would, wouldn't i"
