I think you've maybe drifted a bit into the competitive scene, or someone is claiming to be a casual playing while using comp strats. In situations like this it's best to just start from basics. Find some people new to the game, who just want to throw a ball. That is the environment this game works best in. You may be better than them starting off, but that doesn't matter as much if you both go into it agreeing that nothing matters but throwing a ball and catching it
