Yes, it looks like a poor free translation but this expression actually exists in english, originated in the XVII century England (I won't explain it, though. I did not read the article that far).

But yes, I was (saved by the bell). We went on vacation just before hell was unleashed upon us in the form of heat, storms and poorly done privatizations. Our days were all about beautiful beaches and coconut water and then all about media lunas and greco-roman statues and architecture at Buenos Aires (I had no idea they had that many greco-roman references).

It was the election week back there, and now a couple days after we left.. Milei won. It's funny, and catastrophic, but people don't usually learn from other experiences, they have to feel in their own skin to then process it as knowledge, besides I don't know how much argentinians know about what we experienced here from 2018 to 2023... In fact, do our people know?

This week, back in São Paulo, we got to experience the extreme heatwave (the word exists, I've checked). It makes you think about where the world is going, and decisions about the future, like having kids, where we will be living in 2040 when everything is burning.. and the main conclusion is: "Damn we should have air conditioners!".

It's too hot to make important decisions...

First commit

Another programming cliché, but now for the real start of the "blog". Which sounds like a super weird thing to write, given it is 2023 and the world is not that simple as it was back in 2013, when you had one of these and shared brokenhearted sexual gifs.

My intention with this is very simple, and yet really challenging for myself. I'm pursuing an old dream of mine of living a period abroad, and I really need to practice this shitty language. Besides, I got excited with the idea of having a new space to write stuff that isn't twitter (or X now, I suppose). I'm starting to realize that I have always been a writer myself (talking shit 24/7 in social media -> writer).

And you, my imaginary readers, are very welcome to come and read (and please correct my mistakes, make suggestions or give your opinions).

Disclaimer: I do not guarantee there will be any other posts, my ADHD won't let me keep the same peculiar hobby for more than two weeks.
