The Blue Goose Tour Comes to a Close This week, EVC and MSP mark the end of the Blue Goose Tour. It was a large undertaking, but we made it to Lakeview and the team on the road accomplished it with style!

Final Testing of 500th Vehicle
Today we hit a huge milestone with the Michigan State Police project…the 500th vehicle was completed in Cadillac today! So thankful for the opportunity and the support of our families and friends for the first 500 and the next in the coming months.

Seventh Heaven Nears It’s End
Seventh Heaven Nears It’s End
Tumblr media
My last post was hung up in Cyberland…and we’ve covered some ground in the last month. Last week, we pushed production on the road to 10 vehicles daily twice with the help of Kalamazoo! Amy, Kolton and Brittany were joined by Nick from the travel team to be able to start working in two locations at once. In all, EVC had an amazing week, completing 37 vehicles combined for Cadillac and Paw Paw!…

Seventh Continues
The EVC Travel Team started in Gaylord on Monday, our home for the next two weeks. Those of us from the south only really dreamed of a white Christmas, but they certainly had one here we’re guessing. Four more inches overnight, and it’s continuing to pile up! I think it’s awesome, but in my older age, I find I’m surrounded by those may not agree!

Bitter Sweet
Well folks, we finished another district, the Eighth. It me to see the bridge in our rear view mirror as the people, places and time with our combined team was nothing short of amazing. We were blessed with fall colors only the UP can provide, winter two months earlier than everyone else and with that, opportunity to practice our winter driving! More over, we surpassed 300 completed vehicles!

Happy Thanksgiving EVC is closed today and tomorrow so our team members can spend time with their families. Our company experienced quite a few hurdles this year, especially in the last several months.

There Really Is A Kalamazoo
There Really Is A Kalamazoo
Tumblr media
Kolton, Brittany, Wally and Amy are holding down the fort in Kalamazoo with new and old customers alike! Four days and six different customers this week! The upheaval of the remodel adds to the stresses of the daily grind – parts strewn between separate storage areas, pirated pieces forgotten and builds without anything new could pave the way to frustration. However, that isn’t who we are at EVC.

In our WAKEfield, Now Negaunee
In our WAKEfield, Now Negaunee
The team has arrived in the neighborhood of the UPe’s largest city, Marquette. For the next week and a half we will be working at the post in Negaunee. What a great building for the cold weather which has found us! The crew is able to fit an entire day’s work in the building at once, which makes quick work for all of us.

Calumet, It’s Been Awesome
Calumet, It’s Been Awesome
We’ve packed up and will hit the road to the location furthest from any of our home tomorrow morning – Wakefield! What a beautiful place, the Keweenaw area! The team enjoyed great hospitality at the Holiday Inn Express, great food from The Ambassador, and the post made us feel at home. The scenery the last few weeks has truly made this our Pure Michigan tour, and I think everyone one of us is…

Way U.P. - Calumet
Way U.P. – Calumet
Dawn
The Blue Goose Tour arrived in Calumet Tuesday night, ready to continue our pace but maybe not so much the weather! It was a rainy and cool start, but the sun is out today and we’re warming up to the latitude! Staying in Houghton and commuting up to Calumet has allowed us to enjoy two communities over the last several days. It certainly is God’s country!
It was a cold morning…28°

Iron Mountain...There and Gone
Iron Mountain…There and Gone
Efficiencies have come to a point (and post sizes as well) where we find ourselves in and out of a post before I can even say anything! The troops at Iron Mountain were great! Their cars we lined up and ready to go without issues even with our accelerated production. The EVC team is home for a week before heading up to Calumet, them Wakefield over the next couple of weeks.

UP and Down
Gladstone is in the history books and the EVC team got an unexpected extra two days, heading home early. We enjoyed the hospitality of both the post and the Gladstone school bus garage. It was amazing! Looking forward to everything the UP has to offer! EVC is headed to Iron Mountain this week for a short stay before experiencing our first real long deployment between Calumet and Wakefield.

God’s Country, Plain and Simple
God’s Country, Plain and Simple
The EVC team has made it to the UP after our week at home with families and friends. Though it is never easy to leave the comforts of home, heading up here makes it a little bit better. It’s homecoming week here, and may I say it’s fitting? Gladstone and Escanaba both are great cities, made up of great people. The hospitality has always been awesome, so we are looking forward to the next week…

Today we started the last week in the Metro Detroit area. Hard to believe the Second District is about to be in the history books! Our folks has achieved so much in the last few weeks, hitting consistent weekly averages and growing as a team.
