at one point i had the thought to print 1/3 versions of all of my bjd heads to get more real estate to do faceups. i gave up on the idea pretty quickly, but had already printed a few. found this half-finished mermaid head the other day & decided to see the project through.

i plopped her on a random 1/3 vinyl body i've had for years and wrapped it in fabric, and accidentally ended up liking the look -> am debating whether i should desing a humanoid body for this head and sew a multilayered, flowy kimono-thing.

her led is on in all the pictures, but most were taken on the balcony, where the ambient light renders it invisible. the last two i took inside with different camera settings to try and get the light to show up a bit. the eyes are reflective, so the led lights them up excellently.

i'd like to redo the forehead antenna, because i feel the stem is a bit too bulky, but she's currently using the smallest led i have & that is just the size of the wires.

My latest project. His name is Yuca. I'm working on an outfit for him now which I hope to finish next week. This is my first time working with an air brush. He's a Coralreef Chi doll that I'm super glad I grabbed. He can stand on his own but I really don't want to risk him falling over.

Got a prism for photos. Never thought that it would be this hard to use. One moment the sun ray is there, the next it's gone, and you’re stuck chasing it, trying to direct it onto the doll for an hour (couldn't try any longer because it's quite painful for neck and hands).

One hand stretched as high as possible, the other gripping a phone. If I’d tried this with a camera instead, I’d probably lose my mind.

I realised... there is not a single photo of Iris on my blog??

This is a crime... she is so cute!!

She's one of the few dolls in my collection not painted by myself because I won her in a photo contest from Youpladolls (and hence she's painted by her)

From what I know, she's a true OOAK. She's casted in what was called Caramel back then, but it is a different colour than the Caramel skin Marie offered with current Preorders.

Not that it really matters, but... I treasuer her.

Some impulse yarn 🙈 the gradient one makes me think of sour candy it's just such happy colours!

The purple is actually a thread that came with another ball of yarn, I am too much of a yarn newb to know why but I may have finally found a yarn that would work for doll socks! If I knew that from the start I would have picked a more nuteral colour....

Whenever it's hot i always want to knit and crochet somehow;;;

I have less experience with crochet but I am finding that if you want to make something that would pass for doll scale you really do need it to be supper thin, while with knitting you can get away with some surprisingly big ones if you use smaller needles and find the right pattern

My new doll came in and I'm only just realizing ive been working top down on him. I did his wig, faceup, and top and have his shorts and leg warmers left. Also thinking of trying to crochet a sweater.
