Last week was exhausting, and yesterday was exhausting as well. This past month has not been his best and all the man really wanted to do was sleep though he couldn't. There was work that needed to be done, fires to be put out. He was the Lieutenant of course, and the Lieutenant was in charge so Everett couldn't sleep or doze off even if he wanted too. Sitting at the table fiddling with his thumbs for a moment, Everett saw how busy the line was getting and damn should he have gotten his coffee first instead of sitting down right away. Blend Coffee was always busy early in the mornings, and he needed to head to the fire house soon. Taking a deep breath, Everett opened his mouth to speak "Alright listen. Ill pay you like fifteen bucks or maybe ten if you can go up in line and order me a regular coffee. Im exhausted and don't feel like getting up." He said letting out a laugh, and the firefighter shook his head for a moment “Please?”

Gregory Mulligan was a training firefighter when he had met and fallen in love with the surgical intern named Caroline Woods, he would always be brining a victim to her hospital and she would always be the one on call to pick it up. They flirted here and there, but it wasn’t until one of their mutual friends had finally and properly intruded Gregory and Caroline to one another. Of course Gregory says it was love at first sight, but Caroline still till this day likes to beg to differ. It took them a while, but after a bunch of dates and after a few nights of drinking after tough cases, Gregory finally asked Caroline to be his girlfriend. The two fell hard for one another, and they fell hard for one another for three years. Coming up on their fourth year of being together, Gregory finally got up the courage and decided to ask Caroline to marry him and to his surprise, she said yes.
The two had always wanted a big family since they both came from broken homes, and a big family is what they got. Gregory and Caroline resided in beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina and to them that was the perfect place to raise a family. The oldest out of the Strauss clan was Stephen Alexander Mulligan, he was first born, their most prized possession and the love of their life. It wasn’t until Stephen was three years old that Caroline and Gregory told their son he was going to be a big brother, and nine months later, Mitchell Thompson Mulligan was born. He was the golden son. After Stephen and Mitchell, Caroline and Gregory both agreed they were done. However, Everett Reilly Mulligan was a complete surprise, and the best surprise if you asked them. Caroline and Gregory were done and they were happy. The two had three beautiful boys who were best friends and the couple couldnt of been happier.
Caroline and Gregory were not done though however, they were far, way far from being done. One night when the couple had to go to a family members wedding, they had a little too much to drink that night and Isabelle Elizabeth Mulligan was born, a beautiful baby girl and the three older brothers couldn’t of been happier to have a little sister. They loved her and adored her and protected her. For sure this time, the couple really did think they were done with making their big family. Boy were they wrong, their last and final child who completed the Mulligan family was yet another beautiful baby girl, they named her Addison Kathleen Mulligan.
Growing up you could say that Everett’s life was pretty much perfect, and it was. He had two loving parents who worked hard and raised their children well, two older brothers who were his best friends and two younger sisters whom he loved and adored. Everett was a kid who always played outside and wasn’t afraid to get down and dirty, the boy enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. Always tried to do the best in school, but it was hard following in his older brothers foot steps who were both golden boys, one was captain of the football team and a straight A student, the other was captain of the basketball team and also a straight A student. Though it wasn’t until his Sophomore year of high school when Everett started volunteering at his father’s station, and it was then when Everett had decided he loved the job as a firefighter as much as his father did. It was the one thing Everett was really good it, saving people.
He had a knack for it, and the thought of saving people from a burning building didn’t scare him one bit. It actually made him more passionate and determined to be just like his father. After he graduated high school, Everett trained to become a firefighter and followed in his fathers footsteps. To say that his father was proud was an understatement. Loving the job and being safe, and working hard, he had been named Lieutenant after two years.
Meeting the love of his life on a scene much like his mother and father had, Juliette Barnes was her name and to Everett she was perfect. She was the most perfect thing he’s seen on this planet, and instantly after saving her the man became hooked. If it wasn’t for one of his coworkers, who also happened to be his best friend, then Juliette and and Everett would have never went on that first date. So the two dated for five years, and on their fifth anniversary he finally proposed. However things took a turn when Juliette surprisingly said no. He didn't understand it. He still doesn't understand it. The man never will, at least he doesn't think so.
It shocked everyone considering that people within Everett’s life thought he and Juliette would be together forever, though clearly they weren’t going to be. It had crushed him, it had crushed him and turned him cynical. It was a rough brake up, mentally and emotionally exhausting. When Everett decided to transfer to get a fresh start, his parents and siblings were on board with him, always supporting him in whatever wanted and needed. Everett ended up in Siesta Key, Florida and has been here for five years. He had everything transferred over to the Siesta Key fire department, still being the Captain and saving the people of his new city, Everett has never been happier and the man was loving every moment of it.
