Diane von Fabulous
It comes as no surprise that looking at Diane von Furstenberg's Fall line gave me chills. Her work has been featured several times on Everyday Runway, namely because she is so amazing, and her Spring 2012 line is just as good. But given that Fall is coming and you're fashion accumen likely does not keep you two seasons ahead of the game, here's some of her best to keep you looking good for Fall 2011. And in case your fashion expertise does keep you on track, your eyes were likely glued to her line this past Sunday :)
 Take note, ladies...
Notice that there's a lot of black. Fall is obviously a time for more conservative looks and black is a classic. However, I love the splash of color in terms of red and blue. Such a perfect blend to mix things up, but to keep a look of sophistication.
As always, Diane, we've "fallen" for you.
Much love,
B

Ces Bottes Sont Faites Pour Marcher
Well like any good fashionista, I used the rest of Summer to rest up for the most important events of the year...FASHION WEEK. And while it was nice to get away and relax, it's now time to re-emerge back onto the scene. The fashion scene, that is.
And where else is a better place to start other than Paris? After careful observation of the men's collection, I've got some helpful hints on how to Fall up this season in the fashion world. Check it out, guys.
Hermes:
Loving this long olive peacoat. Simple, sleek and sophisticated.
Mason Martin Margiela:
Vintage, tweed looking coats (and even suits) are making a big comeback. Think Dad's closet goes through a time machine to Fall 2011.
MIHARAYASUHIRO:
Ango-Saxon, Oscar Wilde, and Gatsby all rolled into one. This non-ironed, light weight look is a perfect way to make your fall style stand out from the traditional look.
Jean Paul Gaultier:
The classic Bond look never goes out of style. And check out the pointed lapel. That trend is certainly not going anywhere soon.
This is just a preview of what's to come. Hope you like the sneak peek. Keep it classy this Fall, gentlemen.
You're welcome.

Fendi and the Donna
Well, seeing how it's a beautiful Saturday morning, I thought I would start it off right by looking through the Pre-Fall lines of some of my favorite designers. Little did I know, I would be sorely disappointed. Perhaps I'm stuck in a summer sensation and not ready to move on quite yet. Nevertheless, fashion waits for no one, and we must be prepared for the next season in the current one. Now, to be fair, I was just looking at the pre-fall selection and not the entire line. That being said, it was abysmal at best.
Between a mess of unflattering baggy clothes and fugly star prints and patterns, I was feelings adrift. Thankfully, two designers were able to pull be back above water. Dolce and Gabbana may have missed the boat, but Fendi and Donna have set sail. Check it out...
Fendi:
Tumblr media
I love this look. Chic and sexy, without going over the top.
Tumblr media
I love the feminine approach to the traditional work outfit. It looks classy, clean and high fashion.
Tumblr media
At this point it should be apparent that blue is here to stay. Likewise, the off-the-shoulder look is standing strong and looking fabulous.
Tumblr media
I love the sheer cover on the dress to the left. And usually I'm not a fan of the longer skirt, but this looks great. And perhaps I'm still wanting the ladies to still show some leg in a bikini ;)
Tumblr media
Stunning.
Tumblr media
Again, I absolutely love the dress on the left. Such simplicity, but so fresh. And the outfit on the right is amazing. I'm loving Fendi's different approach to high fashion work attire. You'll be the boss in no time...
Tumblr media
Saved the best for last. Who can resist this conservative look, made even better in a sleek black. And...HAVE YOU NOTICED THE SHOES?! Good lord. I die.
Donna Karan:
Tumblr media
I like how this look is more laid back, but still has elegance. It's nice to be casual sometimes, but there's a way to do it right. See above.
Tumblr media
A big prediction for the upcoming season - FUR. Learn to love it.
Tumblr media
What did I just say about fur? And by the way, boots are always a fall must have.
Tumblr media
Yet another classy look. After all, Fall is a time to cover up a bit more. The sleeves have just the right about of "billow" and the belt makes the outfit complete by slimming the waistline.
Tumblr media
Fabulous.
Tumblr media
This gown is stunning. Love the color and the flowing train. Clearly nudes, browns and tans always reign in the fall.
Tumblr media
I found this dress interesting and different. Obviously not an everyday wear, but gorgeous for a crisp Fall evening.
So there you have it. Before Summer ends, I suggest you take a look through your closet and make some room. Because fashion really is seasonal...so watcha gonna do with all that junk? Because come September, I better see all of you rocking some Fendi and the Donna, or I want be pleased. And you don't want no drama, no, no, no, no drama.
Get love-drunk off these humps. -B

You're the one who's going to end up being hurt because, in time, it will all be realized that it doesn't matter if the dress is couture if the person wearing it is nothing more than off the rack. And then, as with all things that don't fit...you'll be sent back to where you came from.

Vacation Vanity
One of the best things about Summer is taking that tropical Caribbean vacation, or the exotic trip to the Mediterranean coast. But in 2011, the fashion for a summer getaway has changed. Floral button up shirts for men and fanny packs for ladies are a thing of the past (quite frankly, they never were a thing). If you want to look good on your afternoons abroad or those naughty nights at sea, just take my advice. Don't be afraid to show some skin or get wet and wild, because vacation is a time to lose your inhibitions and cut loose. Just don't go too crazy and end up getting thrown in jail by the Federalis. Then again, though, there's nothing like a spontaneous sexploration in a foreign land... ;)
Tumblr media
Don't bother with raw denim. You're on vacation! Let it all hang out with a pair of featherweight jeans. Ladies, you know how much I love bathing suits like this white Dolce and Gabanna, but when in Europe...(see topless girl above).
Tumblr media
Men's bathing suits that look chic enough to double as shorts are just plain smart. I'm loving this look with a casual hoodie, as well. You really don't even need to go back to the hotel room to change...unless there's someone waiting there for you...
Tumblr media
Looking chic on the sand it easy. Whether it's wearing a "so light it's see-through sweater" to conquer the night chill or by wearing a designer shirt like this Armani, rather than a T-shirt, to the shore. Just remember, beauty can be pain, so don't be a baby if you get a little sandy. In fact, some of the best moments on a vacation leave you covered in sand...
Tumblr media
Hello, fabulous. I am obsessed with maritime style stripes right now, and rocking them on a polo like this Michael Bastian with some simple above the knee shorts is absolutely amazing. Cool, calm, collected. And would you check out the sunglasses and sandals on the sexy blonde?! Talk about a Bottega Veneta bombshell!
Tumblr media
Gentlemen, don't be afraid to bear arms. A little extra skin on vacation is a must, so be sure to pack some tanks. And ladies, putting on a sheer top after you get out of the water that shows your bikini (say perhaps on a yacht) is ultra sexy.
Well, now you know exactly how to pull off that perfect summer style on vacation. Heed my advice, and I'm sure your getaway will be filled with a bit more passion and fire than you bargained for. After all, it's always important to impress the locals - it seems they always know how to rock the boat.
See you on the shores of Santorini...

Party Posse
When it comes to partying in the summertime, you don't always have to rely on a fool-proof fashion fallback. The little black dress is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but if I've said anything all summer long it has been not to fear going bold. Stepping outside the box is sure to get you noticed not just at the pool, but during a night of partying as well. And seeing as how yours truly can never say no to a good party, I thought it best to provide some party pointers so that I have something pretty to look at when I'm a few drinks in ;)
Dresses with skin warming shades like pink and coral tones, like this Diane von Furstenberg, can really accentuate your tan skin. Like I said, say bye bye to black for now.
For a more formal event, try a long gown with a sweeping pleated skirt, like this dress from French Connection. Gives a more loose and flowy summer looks, while keeping it classy.
And when you don't need to be quite so formal, try something fun and sexy like this sequin-sprayed tee. And while you're at it, show off those long legs with some tight short shorts.
Not all parties happen at night, you know. For a daytime social gathering, try something cute and flirty like this ruffled Tibi dress. A shoulder bearing neckline and conservative hemline allows for a good balance between formal and your inner freak!
From by the pool to at the party, you can turn a bikini cover-up into an ensemble suitable for cocktail hour with a sparkling jacket like this. And, yes, I know it's black. I just couldn't help myself...
For an outdoor occasion, a gorgeous silky dress like this Madewell is perfectly feminine. Add a cute cashmere cardigan or shawl once it starts to get a bit nippy after the sun goes down.
Now remember, partying doesn't just mean hitting the clubs. Parties come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from an outdoor wedding to a risque night of burlesque. No matter what the occasion is though, there's never an excuse not to look your best. So don't be a party pooper.
First drink's on me... -B

Summertime...and the Loafin's Easy
Ahhhhhh yes, there's nothing I love more than a relaxing summer day. Sitting poolside, drink in hand, soaking up the rays...Naturally, it would be easy to go the casual route since sun-bathing requires little clothing, but the trip to the pool should not be disregarded as a time to shine brighter than that summer sun. And naturally, your shoes reflect who you are.
As such, a nice pair of loafers are essential for those summer days you spend near the water. And let's be honest - who doesn't have a pair for the yacht?
Gucci:
Sebago Men's:
Nicholas Tate:
Sperry Topsiders:
Unknown:
Louis Vuitton:
Jeffrey West:
That should provide more than enough inspiration to go snag some new kicks. And don't tighten up the purse strings - be prepared to spend a good amount for quality. But really, think of it as more of an investment...because who can possibly be seen sunning on that summer cruise or galavanting on the Caribbean islands looking anything less than picture perfect.
You wouldn't want to miss the boat...
You're welcome.

Damn, How You Get Me Wet
Summer is one of my favorite seasons. To show you why, I thought we would do some simple addition. Beach + heat = showing more skin. And you thought I wasn't a mathematician...
Well ladies, it's time to show off those sexy beach bods with a brand spanking new bathing suit. But the cut and color you choose could make the difference between a sexy surfer girl and a total belly flop. Thankfully, Everyday Runway and yours truly to the rescue. Did someone order a lifeguard?
My Personal Favorite:
Hi, cut-out. Please meet our dear friend, the bathing suit. Umm, hello! Could this get any hotter!! This twisted wrap triangle top has me turned upside down! I can't take my eyes off this shot.
Lace:
There's nothing sexier than imagining what a girl is wearing under her clothes...oh wait, strike that. Because there is something sexier - actually seeing what a girl wears under her clothes. Lace brings the male fantasy of sexy lingerie to life, without being too slutty. And a bold color like this is sure to turn heads.
Push-Up Halter and Low-Rise Bottom:
Meeeoooow. You all know one of your biggest ASSets is actually on your front-side. So, why not work your own "ladies" with a push-up halter? And paired with a low-rise bottom gives your body that hour glass shape that will make the guys howl. It's purrrfect.
Bandeau:
Sexy and simple. Bandeau tops are always a win. Not only that, but they are the most prevalent bikini top type that I've seen anywhere this Summer. And if you need a little boost in your bust, try adding a halter-esque lift. This is one "band" you definitely want to be a groupie for.
Triangle Tops:
If something isn't broken, don't fix it. Triangle tops are a classic for a reason. But, have a little fun and choose a top with some intricate designs or a sexy shimmer!
Balconet Top:
It's like French Maid, meets a shy schoolgirl...only WET. Good Lord, I hope to see more of this cute, yet all around mouth-dropping, style covering every grain of sand on that beach...
Shimmer and Shine:
Shimmer and metallic looks are also very big this season. Loving this color combo and the shell-like clasp top. The Little Mermaid has nothing on this look.
One Pieces and Monokinis:
Last but certainly not least. If you ever thought the one-piece was just for little girls, think again. These sexy suits will have the boys shaking in their water boots. Sometimes less is more, but with these bathing suits, more really is more.
So there you have it, ladies. Who needs that itsy bitsy teeny weenie yellow polka dot bikini when there are so many options to choose from? Summer comes but once a year...but then again, there's always hot tubs...
With sexy bathing suits like these, you'll have every guy wanting to take a dip in your grotto...
Thanks for getting us all wet. -B
