Nish never viewing Suki as anything more than a possession whose autonomy must be stifled, versus Eve who sees all parts of Suki, the good and the bad, and loves the whole of her.

Suki going through with the performing ritual of the ardas surrounded by people who don't know the real her (and Eve showing up because she does, and wanting to ensure that Suki knew that she had someone there who would support her unconditionally no matter what, despite how painful it is for herself) versus Suki marrying the love of her life surrounded by friends and family who have witnessed their relationship blossoming over the past year and seen how happy she is.

The look of defeat and exhaustion on Suki's face as she sat on the morning of the marriage blessing, knowing that she was resigning herself to playing the role of dutiful wife in an abusive and loveless marriage, completely and utterly alone in that grief, trapped behind closed doors, versus stepping outside to enjoy the dawning of the rest of her life with a houseful of people behind her there to support and celebrate it alongside her.

One of the things I’ve always loved about the Sukeve and Nish storyline is the way that the show has carefully constructed the contrasts in Suki’s relationship with Eve and her relationship with Nish, be that through writing/directing/actor choices.

The possessive language Nish uses about Suki makes it clear that he sees her as nothing more than something to own and control, with no agency of her own, refusing to to accept that she is following the truth of her own heart; it's only when Suki speaks the same language as him ("I belong to Eve.") that he finally seems to comprehend the truth that's been reiterated to him over and over for more than a year. Previously, Suki has also used the same language to reassure him when his paranoia threatened to get the better of him ("I'm yours...and I always will be.")

Eve, by contrast, has always seen the real Suki, hard edges and all, and has only ever wanted to see Suki free and thriving, whatever that might mean for their own relationship (as demonstrated by her assertion during the aftermath of Suki's fall down the stairs ("Even if I wasn't desperately in love with you, I would still want you to get away from that man.") and expressing her gladness that Suki had another grandchild to dote on ("But you stuck to what's important to you, and I respect that...")).
