Closed Starter w/ @eviefms· Saint-Tropez Harbour Mid-Afternoon

Scarlett was currently sat at a table looking over the vast amounts of yachts that were just settling themselves into their reserved spots. This is what summer was to her, the feeling of the ocean air rustling through her hair as she relished in all that Saint-Tropez had to offer her. It’s funny to think that she hated coming here as a child. Her father dragging her along for a promised fun summer only to then be ditched for business meetings.

She wasn’t the only one though who was brushed off in the name of business. Evangeline Kang, who Scarlett later grew to call Evie, also had a father who often delved into business while vacationing, leaving the two to form a friendship purely out of convenience. Although at first they didn’t exactly get along they later became pretty good friends, even if their friendship was mainly based during the summer months. 

The two always met at the Saint-Tropez Harbour during their first week here. Catching each other up on whatever main life events had transpired over the last year. Setting in motion whatever the summer would bring them. Scarlett checked her phone for the time, it was almost 2 o’clock on the dot meaning Evie should be strolling in at any moment. The girl was usually really good at being on time to things like this.

*        ㅤ♡        ㅤ  𝒕𝒉𝒆  𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒐𝒐𝒏  𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕  -  𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒛  sun  was  kissing  evie’s  blonde  locks  gently  as  she  walked  to  the  harbor  ,  where  she  would  meet  scarlett  for  one  of  their  typical  vacation  lunch  dates  .  it  has  become  a  habit  of  hers  at  this  point  ,  to  come  to  the  paradisiac  villas  every  june  ,  meet  her  “  summer  friends  ”  (  as  they  literally  just  saw  each  other  during  that  time  of  the  year  )  ,  perhaps  meet  an  interesting  boy  and  have  an  occasional  fling  .

scarlett  was  an  important  part  of  her  summer  ,  as  both  their  fathers  were  businessmen  and  seemed  to  get  along  pretty  well  ,  engaging  in  long  boring  conversations  that  left  their  daughters  with  no  other  choice  than  hanging  out  .  over  the  years  ,  evie  grew  fond  of  scarlett  .  she  even  caught  herself  looking  forward  to  seeing  the  other  .

the  wedding  planner  glanced  one  last  time  at  her  watch  ,  making  sure  she  wasn’t  late  .  “  scarlett  ,  ma  chérie  !  ”  ,  she  waved  an  excited  hand  at  her  friend  .  “  am  i  late  ?  sorry  if  i  kept  you  waiting  .  ”  ,  the  apology  came  as  she  approached  scarlett  ,  arms  wide  open  for  a  hug  .
