Edward Cullen, born as Edward Anthony Masen on June 20th 1901 in Chicago Illinois, was turned into a vampire shortly after his seventeenth birthday in September 1918 by Carlisle Cullen. Almost ten years after his transformation he had a rebellious period. During this time, he used his mind reading ability to attack the worst people of society. A few years later, he regretted this decision and returned to his family and their diet of animal blood in 1931. Since then, he refuses to drink human blood, fearing a relapse. Edward is described as being charming, polite, determinded, and very stubborn. He tends to over-analyze situation and also has a tendecy to overreact. Similar to his family, he is also described as being impossibly beautiful.
