Also, I can't think of a thing stupider to criticise than body positivity. It's like when people make fun of like. The elderly. Or the disabled. Like bro its coming for you too. Google sarcopenia for me. You have chronic lower back bain at 26 - you won't still be working out at 60.
Seen another influencer do this so I'm gonna make a post to vent my rage.
From my point of view, there seem to be two different definitions of 'body positivity'. The first is the original definition - the actual definition - that all bodies are beautiful and worthy of respect. Whether someone's fat or lean, muscular or skinny, young or old, their body type is none of your business, and should not negatively affect how you interact with them.
The other definition is what I'm gonna go ahead and call 'body coping'. This is where conventionally physically attractive people, to paraphrase Steinbeck, find themselves temporarily embarrassed and suddenly not conventionally physically attractive, usually by putting on some weight. Since these guys previously subscribe to, or even peddle, anti-body-positivity rhetoric, they catch a lot of flak for this, and start being made fun of or otherwise treated differently. So, what to do? Well, you cite body positivity - you say you think everyone should deserve to feel comfortable in their own skin.
In itself, not a problem - that's the core idea behind actual body positivity - rather, the problems start when they lose the weight. Because they lose the body positivity just as quickly, since, if they were able to become conventionally attractive again, what's stopping the other body positivists who AREN'T trying to lose weight?
Body copers criticise body positivity because they think the movement involves settling - giving up on the path back to being conventionally attractive. They don't internalise that most body positive people don't want to be conventionally attractive because that kind of thing just doesn't matter to them. The only 'body positive' people that are...idk, self-deluding about not actually wanting to be conventionally attractive, are, funnily enough, themselves.
TL:DR stop using body positivity as your crutch if you're gonna disavow the concept when you lose weight.

This goes for admirers/encouragers too: unless youre comfortable having your gaining be a part of your public identity - whether youre doing it or just enjoying it online - keep it anonymous.
If you use your main account to look at gaining stuff, it doesn't matter if you have public likes off - if you like something, everyone who sees that post can see.
Make a separate account, use a burner email, whatever - protect your data and yourself.
Quick feedism PSA‼️‼️
I need yall to genuinely start putting watermarks in your images and NEVER showing your face here. I have had multiple mutuals that I can count on one hand have their images stolen for catfishing, scams, and even have been DOXXED this past month.
I know this community is a safe place for a lot of us but it's really not THAT safe. Some horrible people like to watch our content and if they don't get what they want, will not HESITATE to dox you. A lot of these people genuinely do not care about you and only see you as a sex object...something to goon to-
The issue will never stop....But you can make it less likely to happen to you or establish your credit.
So please:
Blur or Crop your face
Blur your tattoos
DONT USE YOUR REAL NAME
Place a watermark on your content
Don't mention ANYTHING about your personal life (Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc.)
Don't use emails that are connected to your personal social media accounts
We already know most social media platforms handle reports carelessly and this issue has been happening more frequently lately.
If you don't care about your privacy that's completely fine. But if you're very particular about your privacy and like posting on social media PLEASE try to do some of these.

Tom Hardy as Bane in the Dark Knight Rises. Pushed to call him an ex-jock - he was grinding in the gym for this film - but he was definitely dirty bulking, and, in his own words he felt 'a bit porky'.
Same, Bane. Same.

Have you ever looked into ludwig ahgren? He bloats so easily
Hey anon! Thanks so much for the ask :D (people reading please feel free to send messages, i have no shame in asking anymore).
To answer, yes I have - Lud's a very good shout. But Ludwig's tricky for a few reasons.
So, breaking it down:
1. From the point of view of my personal preference, a lot of Lud's bloats/gains don't appeal to me. A lot do - but he can be a bit hit or miss for me.
2. Probably the worst reason, and this reflects badly on me - finding stuff for Lud would take so much time. Most of my posts take photos from instagram/tumblr, which are MUCH easier to sort through, and if they come from another source like Youtube, they're usually gainers in their own right. Going through Lud's videos to find stuff (as someone who doesn't regularly watch his content) would take weeks, and I uh. Dont wanna 😅
3. Lud has a big community, and parts of that community know about the gainer thirst for Lud, and uh. Not in a good way. We're the top posts in the 'Ludwig' tag on tumblr, and they post about that with some very strong opinions on reddit. So I don't wanna risk dealing with that.
4. A lot of the Lud content that I've seen and has piqued my interest has come from other collator blogs. Even if they're larger blogs than me, I really don't like posting the same stuff as other people - just feels like stepping on toes 😅.
So, one unnecessarily long answer later: tl:dr - great suggestion, and one I've thought about, but probably not gonna make a post about.

Doing what I do, when im searching social media, I inevitably come across a lot of what I guess we'd call 're-jocks': guys who were bulking cutting down, that kind of thing.
And looking at what they say in their posts, I'm always thinking 'oh honey. You're so close. You're so close to becoming self-aware.'
'When I was overweight (i.e. built like a fridge, but with a bit of a belly), everyone treated me differently. People wouldn't talk to me, I got called jeering nicknames, my jokes didn't land like they did when I was fit. It was like they saw me as a totally different person, an outcast, something broken needing to he fixed.'
That's horrible! Such a dramatic shift in how you're treated and perceived, over something as inconsequential as a 10 or 15lb weight gain. How demoralising! How dehumanising! Which means surely you can empathise with other heavier people and seek to challenge how society treats fatness-
'So I lost the weight, and look at me now! I'm beautiful again! People like me again! Take that, fatties 😜🖕'
...
*sigh* ok.

Hey so, for whatever reason, ALL my original posts got flagged. Not a problem by itself, these posts are kinky, but you have to opt into seeing them in settings, so uh. If you're wondering where all my posts have gone. They're still there. Just tumblr weirdness.
