PETITIONS

Willie Simmons has spent 38 years in prison for a $9 robbery. He had two prior convictions similar to robbery that he served time for. He was prosecuted under the Alabama Habitual Offender law and was given a life sentence for his third strike - stealing 9 (NINE) dollars. Sign his petition. 

Breonna Taylor was killed by police who were conducting an UNANNOUNCED drug raid, where they gave no request to enter. They bashed her door and entered, shooting her EIGHT times. They were in the WRONG HOUSE. 

George Floyd was killed by a police officer who knelt on his neck and suffocated him to death, after George pleaded with the officer and told him he couldn’t breathe. The officer had pulled him from where he sat in his car on an alleged FORGERY. You can also text “FLOYD” to 55156

ARREST THE OFFICERS WHO KILLED GEORGE FLOYD: The main police officer who murdered George is being kept in PROTECTIVE CUSTODY. You probably have heard he was arrested, but this is NOT TRUE. He was placed under PROTECTIVE custody because of the riots and “threats” on his life. 

If you know of ANY other organizations or petitions, PLEASE ADD TO THIS LIST. The fight for justice doesn’t end here, it will never end. Especially when the president of the United States calls white supremacists good people and protesters of a mans death THUGS. USE YOUR VOICE. NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE. FUCK COPS. FUCK “BLUE LIVES”. demand the immediate suspension of uk sales of teargas, riot shields + rubber bullets to the US - see this article for more info about this

ask them to respond to the DELAYED release of the report into BAME covid deaths + demand the government do more to tackle the death rate - you can read the report here

ok yall since more people seem to be getting the beta I’m gonna make a post about how to get your old dash back, just hang tight so I can grab some screenshots. 

This is going to take longer than I originally thought, because I just discovered that if you SWITCH TO MULTITASK VIEW WHILE WRITING A POST

IT AUTOMATICALLY DISCARDS THE POST

I should not need to keep twelve windows open just to make a post, tumblr!!!! 

Anyway. As I mentioned above, I use multitask view a lot - and it’s actually how I discovered that the old tumblr you know and sort of tolerated is still there! They didn’t really update the dash, they just pushed an overlay. Because the thing is, when you multitask your windows, it changes the way the whole site functions. It goes from this, which isn’t too terrible

which is just an abomination. 

Notice how in the multitask view, there’s no option to check your notifications, view your inbox, access the IM system, or make a new post!! Which is like 90 percent of the site’s functionality!! So, naturally, it’s all crammed under the dropdown menu in the upper lefthand corner there. 

And this is the key to reclaiming your land.

You see the tumblr bookmark under the omnibox I added? I never use a bookmarks bar, but that bookmark is my new dashboard button. It’s linked to https://www.tumblr.com/messaging - which redirects you from the updated interface to the old, normal dashboard, where you can check your messages, because tumblr apparently just forgot to factor that little detail in to their newest design.
