Commercial Building
A Commercial Building is a building used for business purposes. These buildings may include a residential rental building, bare land, or a combination of both. Commercial buildings must have at least 50% of the floor space used for commercial activities, such as retail, food service, and office space. In the context of property leasing, a Commercial Building may refer to any structure used for a business purpose. A Commercial Building may also be used for any other purpose.
There are three main types of commercial buildings. Industrial buildings are generally located in special zones outside of highly urbanized areas. They are often located near railways or transportation depots. Because they are located on a large area, they generate additional traffic and noise than other types of commercial property. Industrial buildings are generally separated from residential neighborhoods by buffer zones. High-rise buildings have at least nine floors and elevators. The use of an Industrial Building depends on the city's regulations.
A Commercial Building's design process begins at the planning stage. After choosing a location, contractors must source materials and move in equipment needed to complete the project. They may need to rent equipment or hire laborers for the construction process. The hiring of laborers should be done according to the project budget. Once the design and planning stages are complete, the construction phase begins. This phase also involves meeting with the general contractor to secure necessary building permits, and quality control requirements. Soil testing will also be conducted.
