“Ren? Can I come in?” You asked, knocking on his door. You quickly adjusted the heavy present in your hands. You heard him sigh, before the door opened. You walked in, as Ren laid down on his bed, playing on his phone.

You placed the present you were carrying on his bed, before laying down beside him. Ren continued playing, but he pulled you closer to himself.

“What’s that?” He asked, motioning to the present. You smiled.

“You just have to open it to see,” you said. Ren sat up and pulled said present closer to himself. He stared for a minute, eyes wide at how big it was.

“What the fuck did you buy?” He asked, wiping his head around to look at you.

“Just open it.” You sat up.

Ren nervously ripped the paper off. When all the paper was gone he stared at what was underneath.

“What the fuck?” He said, holding up the box for a new console. Taped on the top was a game for it from one of the franchises he likes.

“I know you’ve been wanting it for a while, so I thought this was the perfect time to go get it for you,” you said with a smile. Ren suddenly wrapped his arms around you, pushing you back onto the bed.

“Thank you so much,” Ren said smiling. He was smiling. That genuine Ren smile that you loved.

“Anything for you, Ren.”
