the day was boring, slow. every moment seemed to drag itself out for too long. — mike had vowed to himself: work less, spend more time at home, more time with the kids. it was great in theory, but the amount of free, unused time he had as of lately seemed to be unending. the day starter, a round of tennis later, a few beers, a movie and still he had the hours and hours ahead of him, with nothing to do with it. 

early retirement was driving him insane and so mike decided to find entertainment. break half of his promise. it wasn’t really working if he was going to see lenny, he was just visiting a work space, by pure chance and nothing else.

wearing his biggest, warmest smiles, arms wide, amusement unwavering, he walked into the place. the moment his eyes laid on them, it is as if the already good mood brightened. “ lenny ! ” mike leaned against the front desk, all too comfortable, as if he owned the place. “ tell me how is the day going ? costumer service being as fun as it sounds ? ”

mike was born 1970 to linda and charles roosevelt

mike’s father was a terrible dad, he was abusive to both him and his mother. 

when mike was five years old, his mother left him with his father.

mike’s childhood was absolute nightmare, he feared going home, feared stay away.

he was around nineteen years old when his father died and left him his inheritance. mike decided to use that money to buy the bar he worked in. that’s when he started building his empire. 

at first it was just a few bars, then a few nightclubs, one or two strip clubs. slowly, but surely, mike became the owner of countless business, and one of the richest man in the country. 

he got married and had three children.

mike however continued to be reckless, irresponsible, impulsive and his actions ended up causing strain on his marriage.

after a spent too many nights working, drinking, partying on his own nightclubs, his actions eventually led him to a divorce, even though he was still hopelessly and completely in love with his former wife. ( wc, anyone ?? )

octavianus bruno gentille was born 1982 son to giordano and amelia 

bruno always worshiped his parents, he saw them as a perfect couple, two people who never fought, who were always happy, who were always good and so for him, it felt like the world was falling apart when they got divorced.

his father was from italy and he moved back to his home country after the divorce, and bruno was left with his mom, given only summer vacations to spend with his father.

besides all of that bruno also had a stutter and his name did not help. he was bullied for a really long time as a child.

still somehow bruno was kind and loving to everyone he met. 

he spent every summer in italy with his father and there he would constantly hear about art, about true love, about falling for someone and not needing anyone else. that’s when bruno started believing with all his heart that there is soulmate for everyone, that’s when he fell in love for art.

young bruno tried everything to be able to express himself through art, painting, drawing, singing, dancing, photography, but he found that he was never really that good with any of it. 

after failed attempts to became an artist, bruno found another way to turn his love for art into a job.

he fought with school bullies to try and defend people, robbed money from the church’s donation box in order to try and do actual good with it, graffiti over previous previous graffiti with a nicer message.

it wasn’t uncommon for him to get in trouble while trying to do good for others. he was constantly getting grounded, suspended or taken by the local police to spend the rest of the evening a jail cell.

frank just admired his parents above everything else and he wanted to be just like them. 

when frank turned eighteen, his father passed away. after that he just wanted to run away.

first he enlisted into the us army, but that didn’t help.

then he left texas altogether to try and find a home that didn’t remind him of his father.

viktor and his sister grew very close, he felt as though she was the only person in his life he could trust.

after his father got arrested when they were around ten years, he moved to the u.s.a, his mother’s home country, to live with his uncle.

their uncle tried his best to take care of the two of them, but viktor and his sister had a really hard time trusting him and every attempt of his to get closer to them fell flat.

viktor dropped out of high school at age fifteen to run away with his sister. they couldn’t trust their uncle, they couldn’t trust teacher, they couldn’t trust authority figures, they couldn’t trust anyone but themselves, so they ran off.

he packed up everything he owned and ran away to multiville where he is hiding from the rest of his life, living a normal and ordinary life fixing cars and taking care of his dogs

slowly, surely, they became more and more noticeable and famous, they started having actual costumes, saving people in danger, developing their powers more and more. 

in one of their fights against villains viktor’s sister ended up dying and he was unable to kill the man resposible for it, that is when he decided to join the guardians.

the only real reason for him to part of the guardians is to use their resources to find the person responsible for her death and have his revenge

after a few failed attempts to find a job and take care of themselves, the two of them turned to crime.

as time passed by they seemed to be more and more successful as criminals. viktor and his sister ended up making a little gang of their own.

things were good, they were great even, viktor was finally at ease.

at a failed attempt to arrest the people in his gang, his sister ended up getting shot and passing. after that viktor grew ruthless.

he didn’t care about anyone and anything other than himself and power.

THEY FEAR NOT the idea of danger, in fact they invite it into their life with open arms and childish glee. perhaps it’s why they wander the streets alone, wanting to see what evils and rumors plague the streets. the comment on their age annoys them but the smile does not slip from their face. “i assure you,” lennox said softly. “that i am old enough to make a comment on a man’s features.” mischievous and intrigued, they couldn’t help themself in this case. “tell me- what secrets are you learning out here?” the whispers had not stopped, maybe that’s what had truly brought lennox to him for they seemed excited as they stood with him. a strange energy pulsed as the pair spoke. 

they were smart, that was his first thought, and then they were interesting; and just like that, it was as though the whispers around him had stopped, as though whatever rumors lingered in the air between them had lost their novelty. “ oh, are you ? i’m sorry. ” the smile settled at the corner of his lips and viktor, far too entertained already, watched as they talked with amusement splattered across his features. “ secrets ? i don’t know what you are talking about, i was simply watching the sunset. ” he half shrugged, but the movement lacked honesty. his lie far too obvious when considering the hint of curiosity in his eyes. “ why ? have you heard anything i should be aware of ? rumors are worth a lot these days. ”

TOO SKILLED FINGERS shuffle the tarot deck absently. they pay attention elsewhere, on eyes that wander and hesitate on strangers, body language that hinted at what the other was really thinking. lennox found people watching to be an ideal past time when the streets were full and the sun shining high over head. the little shop in which they’d been tasked to purchase specific items was closed for the day. of course the lady’s maid held no interest in returning to their madame’s estate empty handed so they wanted to be armed with secrets instead. 

EYES TOO BLUE caught a face in the crowd and a smile curled on pink painted lips. the cards became wrapped in black silk and pushed deep into a pocket as to not lose them in their wandering over to the other. the beard on his face makes them want to reach up and run dexterous fingers through the coarse hairs and tug him down to their level- though it would be inappropriate so the little witch keeps their hands clasped behind their back as they speak. “you are far too handsome to be out here alone, sir.”

it wasn’t people watching he was interested in, it was careful listening. from his spot, against the wall of an unnamed building, near a corner to a dead end, viktor stood and listened. to people and their stories. haven’t you heard ? michael hasn;t bene home for a week now. — last week i saw lady walton leaving her brother’s house in despair. — i hear the roosevelt;s marriage is over, that the patriarch has left home with no intention of coming home. secrets were such poweful things. 

he was so caught up in the stragers conversations that he only noticed them once they are close enough to talk him. — there was a pause. a curious eyebrow perked up, his eyes narrowed. “ aren’t you a little too young to be commenting on the handsomeness of a strange men in the streets ? ” but he stepped closer anyway far too interested to end the conversation there and then. “ it could be dangerous. ”
