"I.D?" the male echoed, wrinkles forming on the bridge of his nose as he opened up the case. Identification, a voice chided in the back of his mind, and he nodded as he pulled out the card mentioned. Information matching what the other had said, he turned to show the rectangular piece to the man. “Gong Chanshik,” he stated, pushing both the wallet and card into the other’s hands. “I saw that you dropped it, earlier,” he added, before bowing his head slightly. “My name is Enlai.” Perhaps the other would take interest in knowing the person that had dimmed his worry—it was worth a try.
Upon seeing the wallet, Chanshik’s eyes brightened — but first, he had to make sure that it was his. His wallet was a common design among people. “I-if you look in the pockets and pull out an I.D. from the company, Kronos Heaven, with the name of Gong Chanshik, then the wallet is mine.” He didn’t want this other man to think of him as a fraud, so he’s letting the other to confirm for himself.

—興趣.
Not only was it the actions of the people around him, but the items they possessed, that captured Enlai’s attention. This was further proven by the man’s trips to the local park. Such was almost becoming a routine for him, and he found himself exploring the area on, close to, a daily basis. One thing that he enjoyed about the park, was the fact that everyone who arrived was different than the last. Some came for amusement; small children chasing each other over the grass, while vaguely entertained mothers occupied themselves with romance novels, and glasses of tea — while others came for peaceful experiences; either bringing a wicker basket full of edible delights, or a drawing pad, and paints, or pencils. Those conveying various emotions appeared, as well; some crying, others laughing. The place was extremely entertaining—especially to one as curious as he.
After having spent the majority of his time feeding the remainders of his lunch to several excited birds, he noticed a girl standing next to him. At first, he was startled, but he soon regained his composure, gaze falling on a bulky black object she held in her slim hands, a dainty finger tapping at, what seemed to be, a touch-activated screen; a small, bright square. His legs slowly moved without his consent, and he craned his neck in order to get a better view of what she was viewing—it was revealed to be familiar scenery. In fact, Enlai recognized the high quality photo as the area that the two stood in. It was astounding how she had been able to capture every detail, even the peaceful aura of the small bridge, tricking stream, and the grin on the face of the man feeding a group of birds the remnants of a turkey sandwi—Hang on.
Lips parting, Enlai was quick to see himself in several of the shots, ranging from his calm meeting today, and some of his past adventures. The woman had scrolled through several more photos—featuring the man participating in children’s games, lying on the grass; solely to watch the clouds, and sitting on the railing of the bench, when clearly the sign did not permit it—when Enlai decided to speak. Surprised, yet genuinely curious, he inquired, “Are you following me?”

[ / he looks at the other, surprised he’s being addressed suddenly and parts his lips. ‘I’m looking for a book’ - well, he’s at a book store, so he shuts his mouth again, before biting his lower lip.] Do you have books from suicide survivors?
Suicide? {—a slight sense of panic built up in his stomach, as the word sounded confusing and foreign on his tongue. he had hoped to help the other with his confusion, yet he only seemed to become bewildered, himself. he knew that he had heard the word before, once or twice in the past couple of years, but more often in the institution. he hadn’t known what it meant, but he knew that it was not a positive thing. } Follow me, please. {—he chewed on his lower lip as he led the male to the front desk, sitting himself down behind the large computer and clicking away at the keyboard. upon finding answers to both his, and the other’s inquiry, his eyebrows rose and he slowly stood. } Um… This way. {—he led the male to a section containing books by doctors, family members of those who had committed suicide, and a small handful actually written by people who had attempted to take their life. } Here you go. {—he mumbled, watching the man curiously. } Why are you looking for books about suicide? Or people that have tried it? {—having no lack of filter, nor mental debate addressing the concept that this may be a tad personal, he pressed on. } Have you tried it?

"Give it back."
The coldness in the man’s voice almost caused Enlai to drop the small book that he had balanced in his hands. The pads of his fingers absently ran over the leather binding, and his plump lips formed, what could only be described as, quite an adorable pout. Regardless, he returned the book to its owner. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled, “I saw it on the bench; I didn’t know it was yours.” How could he? The man had wandered off, leaving the item behind on the wooden park seat. It was to be expected that someone of a curious nature, such as Enlai, would go to observe the odd piece. Nevertheless, again, he repeated, “I’m sorry,” followed by an apologetic dip of his head.

[ / the elder pursed his lips as his head tilted to look at the book stored above him, eyes racking up and down the selections. His therapist/nurse said it'd be good if he got a new hobby, and here he is, ready to take a book and start his new 'hobby' before he fails in 2 weeks and he's assigned something else. He can at least make an attempt though. Sighing softly, he shakes his head and goes to another row of books ]
{—having watched the male for a while, he was slowly growing anxious. he had seen the likes of him before; those who seemed to be lost in the small bookstore. they were unsure of what to purchase, and often unsure of why they were in the establishment in the first place. he ran his tongue over his lips before straightening up and going to approach the other. } Do you need help? {—his blunt tone was quite different from the cheery “how may I help you?” that was normally preferred by both customers and management—and surely if his boss overheard, he would receive a scolding. he could not have cared less, his arms folding as caramel hues traveled over the stranger’s form, before returning to his face. } You look like you need help.

"If you stay quiet, no one will know.”
"What?" Enlai’s breath hitched in his throat at the familiar words that hit his cool skin. He heard such terms before, though meant in a far darker manner. A stranger could not mean them in the same way—at least, that was what he told himself as he swallowed the scream that was bubbling in his throat. His eyes fluttered to a close, the sound of his own pathetic cries and pleas echoing in his ears. He was embarrassed; being in a public place and on the verge of a breakdown. His knees were weak and he had to take several deep breaths to keep his heart from bursting out of the confined cage created by his ribs. "Could you not have gone with a better choice of words?" he muttered to himself, unsure if the other could hear him, or sense his discomfort. He did his best to await the response in silence, hoping to succeed in his attempts at the technique of, so-titled, playing it "cool"—though he could almost feel familiar calloused hands gripping his wrists, holding them over his head in restriction, and his eyes and throat burned with the recognizable threat of oncoming sobs.

Bobbing his head to the music spilling loudly through his headphones, Yoongi stepped out of a busy pub. He was slightly tipsy and the mid-afternoon sun hit his face in a way that let him enjoy the warmth but stung his eyes if he looked for too long. Making his way to a busy intersection, he leaned over the curb before checking left and right for traffic. Before he took another step, Yoongi felt a soft thud behind him. "Watch it, kiddo." Turning around, he laid his eyes on the sight. "Whoa."
Though he had been raised to accept any position that life placed him in, there were times in which Enlai could scarcely believe that there was any greater force, or deity, that did anything to help him; only laughing at his misery, and never taking pity on him. Negative emotions were not common to the young male’s mind, and the very idea of any such sentiments caused his skin to crawl. Today, however, optimism was difficult to come by. Leaving the bookstore, he had run into a woman; a customer who had been sending questions in his direction the entire day. Enlai had done his job, and assisted her as necessary, but soon she would be back to speak to him, another inquiry, with a rather obvious answer, spilling from her lips. Soon, he was left to wish her luck, as his shift had ended. He had almost jumped in fear when she approached him as soon as he stepped foot outside the business.
The following encounter had consisted of more personal questions, such as, “Are you in a relationship?” and, “would you care to get dinner with me, sometime?” Though Enlai was still a stranger to many things, he was not stupid—he was not blind to the motives behind the woman’s speech. He politely declined, and that was when things seemed to fall a bit out of hand. The woman was approached by her boyfriend, a tall, muscular man with a clearly displeased disposition. Out of anxious surprise, the woman created a falsehood, labeling Enlai as the clerk who could not keep his hands off of her. Before he had time to assess his predicament, hard knuckles collided with his cheek, sending white blotches into his vision, and a throbbing in his cheekbone.
Coming to his senses as he cradled his injury, he knew that the attacks were not going to cease soon, so he did the only logical thing he could—he ran. He pushed through the crowded streets, frightened tears burning his eyes as he made his way down, what he believed to be, the path to his home. Blurred vision and an aching head caused him a large amount of confusion, so he hardly noticed when he ran into the man waiting to cross the street. Whimpering apologies, he bowed his head, eyes searching the crowd for any sign of a pursuer. Overhearing yelling, he scrambled to his feet, moving around and attaching himself to the stranger’s side, arm linking with his, widened eyes staring ahead; glistening with terror and apprehension.

"I know your secret."
"Secret?" Enlai repeated the words slowly, unsure of how he was to respond for several seconds. His brow furrowed, and his teeth gnawed at the inner portion of his cheek thoughtfully. He could not think of any details, confessions, or stories he could have possibly held from anyone—at least none that this strange person would know of. "I don’t know what you mean," he muttered, words quietly slipping into a small exhale. He loathed being so easily addled in new situations, but it never seemed to fail that he be muddled around others. Searching his brain, he suddenly came across the remembrance of his time in the institution. He had learned that such a topic was better left avoided, especially upon introduction to new people, but that did not mean he was keeping a secret—did it? A moment of internal conflict passing by, Enlai’s head finally shook, and, being sure that his overthinking would do more harm than good, he inquired, "What are you talking about?"

"I think it’s broken.”
Teeth biting down into his trembling lower lip, he stooped to pick up the cracked pieces of the appliance. He had not the slightest idea what the function of the item had been, all he had noticed was the way that the device had shone under the fluorescent lighting of the store. Trips to the mall were rare for Enlai, and he always found himself in an elated state when he entered the large building, being sure to visit each establishment, even though he may not have held the funds to make any purchases. His favorite stores were the ones of larger size, that he could run around in and explore the variety of products displayed.
That was his objective today, and he had been having an amusing time—at least until he had flailed far too wildly, knocking a box from one of the shelves; the sound of metal and plastic breaking apart almost echoing throughout the store. Cringing and allowing a whimper to slip through his lips, he debated running away, when he heard the woman’s voice. The obvious remark may have irritated some, but Enlai only shook his head, gathering the busted box into his arms, fingers traveling to retrieve some of the unrecognizable parts. “I…” his voice trailed off briefly before he glanced up at the woman, holding out the damaged package in her direction, brows knitting together. “I didn’t mean to.”
