Want to hear how much I love my home state of Texas? (No?…too bad)

- Our favorite grocery store, H-E-B, sent a disaster relief convoy consisting of semis full of food and supplies, a portable kitchen capable of providing food for thousands a day, a mobile laundromat, etc. down to Corpus, Port Aransas, and Rockport to aid the people there - Our favorite roadside pit stop, Buccee’s, opened up their stores and offered free food to those coming into Texas to help with search and rescue - Mattress Mack, owner of our favorite local furniture store (Gallery Furniture), opened up his stores as shelters for those who had to evacuate - Our favorite football player, JJ Watt, set up a donation goal for disaster relief that went over within 24 hours so JJ upped the goal - The food pantry at my parish has taken in so much food and supplies that they have to take a break from accepting donations for a day to reorganize and distribute - The volunteer organization website for the American Red Cross has shut down because too many people tried to sign up - We’ve come together as a state to take care of each other during the most catastrophic flood on record

Hurricane Harvey

Hey guys, for those of you who may not know, I live in Houston and we’re going through one of the worst floods of all times. Things are very difficult for me and my friends and many others who have completely lost everything due to this storm. Our streets are still currently flooded in most areas, with some homes being completely destroyed. I won’t ask for much, but please do keep us in your prayers and if you do have the opportunity, donate a few bucks to help us out. 

My brother’s friend has created a gofundme in order to raise money for the Houstonians affected by this disaster.
