Slightly unrelated and I don't know if it will mean anything for The Old Peace (and the future) but we also have teal Sentients which were reanimated by EidoLotus. They appear during the sequence chasing her in Praghasa.

Been pondering just what the distinction is between red Sentients and blue Sentients is.

The Sentient that the Operator kills first has a blue head and blue eyes, which then shifts to red and orange respectfully. Presumably, this is the "core override" that is mentioned.

So why does Adis have a red head with blue eyes after removing his mask?
