Managed to get an old ad for that EX-7 model from a few years ago. I was a big fan of this design when it came out tbh.

The OUTVERSERS - a species* ref** They're technically open? You can make a weird creature and call it an Outverser, I don't mind. * - technically not a species since they're so varied ** - more like an info sheet than a ref sheet

I do wonder... How do you stay so productive?? (mr.ADD here struggles with it too) alsooo, any tips for getting better at traditional?
well the thing is, my adhd is tied to my work. for some odd reason it latched onto art at an early age, and this is what i've been nonstop fixated on for decades ever since.
i imagine some people would read that and think me lucky for it and sure, i suppose in some roundabout way i might be. always motivated to practice, always motivated to finish my client's work; though while i won't get into the personal harrowing details, i cannot emphasize just how much of a cost it's come to my health and functionality as a human and a person overall.
as for getting better at traditional, there's always the tried and true techniques. doodle. do art studies. experiment with art tools. doodle some more. though there's one experience most, if not all, sketchbook artists go through that isn't as often mentioned, so let me address it here:
do not put needless pressure on yourself by designating a specific sketchbook to be for "the pretty art" only. from wherever you stash this pedastalled book, it will call for you. it will woefully beckon for you and your pen. it offers itself to you to document your journey as an artist. it is there to retell the good days, and it is there to retell the bad days. as it is filled, your sketchbook will evolve to be an art piece in of itself, full of memory and character. do not fear the marks you'll leave upon its pristine pages. do not hesitate to scribble in it with reckless abandon. maybe some of your work will be flawed, but these are the flaws you will inevitably learn from. as an artist it can be difficult to recognize how your work has evolved over time, especially when you stash your books away out of sight or worse, garbage them. it's only hampered more by imposing quality standards on your work. don't limit yourself. you cannot sprint if you're too afraid to trip. art skill takes time to nurture. maybe it takes months, maybe it takes years, but regardless of how long it takes you should be unapologetically bold. fill your sketchbook, decorate each page, and carry it with you as you continue to develop and grow. as far as time passes, your sketchbook will always be there to serve as a time capsule, assuring you that you are in fact growing, you are changing, and your work can only get better from here.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
