Their art style is just fab! I was actually the person who requested the above Dangerous Brothers drawing in the first place so it only made sense for me buy it as a poster. After all, there's not much Dangerous Brothers merch about, is there? And the Rick stickers! I'm still deliberating over where to put them hehe. I'm suuuuper happy with what I bought and may have to nab their Dreamytime Escorts design on something when I've next got spare cash... 👀

9th June

It's now been 7 years since the world lost the wonderful Rik Mayall. But he isn't really lost to us, is he? We still have his poems.

As Young Ones fans, it goes without saying that Rik Mayall means a great deal to us at Scumbag Monthly, as we know he does to so many people. His unfailing ability to make us laugh has doubtless only become more important in recent times. For that reason, just like last year, we've decided to do something to mark his anniversary.

This zine has been made to in an effort to celebrate some of Rik's most beloved bastards and we're deeply thankful to everyone who contributed something to it. You can find our Rik zine on our website, in our Back Issues. ❤️❤️❤️

Disabled Trans person in need of financial help!

Happy Pride! I’m Nav and currently Im living paycheck to paycheck while my mental and physical health continues to make that very very difficult. I am almost always broke and have had my earnings partially furloughed for the last 6 months due to Covid budget cuts at my job.

I recently found out that I will no longer be living with my roommate when our lease is up at the end of the year. This is her choice that I respect, however that leaves me with under 6 months to fix my credit, find a place, save up a down payment, and pay for movers (I physically can not move my furniture out of my apartment without help). This is all really hard to do when I rely on overdraft and the rare commission work to keep my bills paid. The last time I tried to apply for apartments on just my own credit I was out right denied. I have medical debt, student loans, history of a car repo, and other debt from various points when I was houseless and/or unemployed. Finding a different roommate is not an option, I do not know anyone else in this area well enough to move in with them and the previous roommates I’ve had in this city have been bad experiences. I am not currently in contact with any blood relatives (for abuse reasons) so I do not have a family to fall back on and ask for money. I’m also incredibly over due for new shoes to wear to work, I just have not had the disposable income to take care of things like that.

My goal is to be able to play catch up on the active bills I have (I’m currently in a cycle of being continually late on my phone bill and utilities...) while trying to pay down my older debt so I can start improving my credit. I’d love to be able to also start saving money for a down payment and a mover while still keeping my budget together as much as possible. Post made 6/7/21, and I have to move by December 2021. I know 6 months feels like a lot of time but credit scores don’t update right away and down payments have to be ready when you apply for a place.
