just thinkin about the fact Finn being confirmed force sensitive means that in The Force Awakens, when he went to D’qar to find the pilot he’d been admiring on Takodana, he was drawn to Poe by his own Force abilities. It wasn’t merely a coincidence, or recognizing Poe’s “style.” 

When Finn looked up at the sky as the First Order obliterated Hosnian Prime, and heard the phantom cries of the victims, he was sensing it through the Force like Obi-Wan did in A New Hope. He wasn’t looking up because the people he was with were gasping and crying out in horror at something they couldn’t even see. 

This also confirms that Finn was the awakening Snoke talked to Kylo about in The Force Awakening, as Rey didn’t “awaken” until after she was captured by Kylo and used Jedi mind tricks to free herself on Starkiller. 

The whoosh-y sound we heard when Slip dragged his bloody fingers across Finn’s stormtrooper helmet, the same sound that we heard in Rey’s Jedi mind tricks scene, weren’t coincidences or mistakes they missed in editing. It was a marker, an indication of Finn’s abilities. 

It still should have been explicitly said, but it feels nice to be validated on Finn being Force sensitive after four years of insisting that he is and getting shot down by people who retorted that “not everyone has to be Force sensitive.”

I just think it’s really beautiful that Finn’s connection to the force is just right there. It’s not something that he has to really reach for, like it buzzes underneath his skin, whispers to him in the back of his mind, it’s always there.
