EXTRA-ORDINAIRE ECO-FRIENDLY PROJECT
The intention is to make travelers feel part of the environment and of the experience, this is why EXTRA-ORDINAIRE has given birth to a totally eco-friendly project based on building accomodations in trees. Developed as an on the road tour, travelers will stay every night in a different tree home built in the various cities that make up the itinerary. An activity leader, the travelers’ reference figure, will drive the van to move from one wonder to another and will also provide bikes, kick scooters, hygiene kits and what is necessary for a safe and sustainable journey.

COVID-19 ALERT
The following choices have been taken because of the worldwide health emergency, they are based on the guidelines to promote and encourage domestic tourism in the French territory to emerge stronger from COVID-19, restoring the confidence of the travellers and embracing innovation with the digital communication, through security protocols designed to reduce risks.
These protocols include the creation of packages addressed to a small covid-tested group of 8 over 18 people.
The safety of our travellers has always been a priority. In line with the provisions of the competent authorities, we have put in place a series of measures to be respected that will help us to make you travel safely.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
show molecular test that must have been done 72 hours before departure, the antigenic test is not accepted;
even if the test is negative, don’t travel with symptoms related to COVID-19;
bring the travel documentation and the self-certification for the required cases;
you must wear the mask and often hygienize your hands;
during the journey, keep physical distance from people who aren’t part of your covid-tested group;
book online or by phone.
WHAT WE WILL DO:
control procedures adopted and all safety devices provided;
every morning, before leaving the tree houses, the whole group will be subjected to the body temperature check procedure by the thermal scanners;
hygiene kits;
enhanced frequency of cleaning;
safe events and a multimedia guide avaiable on our downloadable application inserting the various QR codes that you will be provided with the data at the time of booking.
If you are infected with corona virus or the journey has been cancelled because of COVID-19 you will receive a voucher that you can spend for our services.

DAY 1 – 02/08/2021 – ARRIVAL DAY
MORNING – DIGNE LES BAINS
Meeting point at 10:00 at the station “Golf de Digne”.
Body temperature check procedure and covid negative test showing.
Distribution of hygienic kits.
Unloading of luggage in the van.
Departure for the Place du Tampinet where the “Corso of Lavender” parade starts. The corso, from the Italian word “corso” that means parade, is a procession of floral floats and public serenades that marks the arrival of spring and the lavender blooming, covering the main streets of the city, while thousands of lavender "purses", small cotton bags filled with dried flowers, are distributed to spectators. Organized during World War II to promote lavender essences to perfumers, today it is one of the greatest festivals of France and it takes place over five days between the end of July and the beginning of August, because in Provence August is known as "the month of lavender".

AFTERNOON – VALENSOLE
Before lunch, meeting point at the Place du Tampinet for transfering to the Valensole plateau, which is just 45 minutes drive away from Digne Les Baigns. The Valensole plateau is a magical and romantic place where you can immerse yourself in the scents and colours during the flowering period of lavender, it is the best known place in the world when talking about lavender.
Free visit among the marvellous fields of lavender and sunflowers, for breathing the uniqueness of the Provencal air and take photos in this fairy-tale landscape. This is the best place to find high quality lavender products, such as essences, homemade soaps and honey, and stroll through the ancient distilleries that allow you to admire the traditional distillation of the lavender flower.

EVENING – VALENSOLE
In the late afternoon, at sunset, will be set up an outdoor space between the lavender fields addressed only and exclusively to our small covid-tested group to protect them from the risks of COVID-19, to which will be provided easels, canvases, colors and brushes to give vent to their art, inspired by the dreamy Provencal landscapes, by being trasported gently in another dimension thanks to an intense background music.
This shown is one of the most magnificent paintings ever made by our previous travelers who have decided to come with us in the wonderful lavender fields during the previous years.

NIGHT - VALENSOLE
When the sun goes down and it’s dark around, transfer to the first accomodation of our route on the road on the tree houses located in a field in Valensole. 
Here you will find a welcome dinner and a bottle of "Vin de Corse", one of the most prestigious French wines that you can enjoy from the top of your tree house among the trees watching the stars.

DAY 2 – 03/08/2021
MORNING – ROUSSILLON
Breakfast served in the tree houses.
Body temperature check procedure.
Transfer to Roussillon, which is 75 minutes away from Valensole, to give way to an unforgettable experience among the bright colors of the ocher caves through a bike session in the ochre path that starts from the valley of the fairies to the crag of giants. There are two things to keep in mind: the first one is to not wear white, the second one is to not forget earphones that are necessary for listening to the tourist guide avaiable on our application who will report the interesting legends that characterize the caves. For example, did you know that here the soil assumed a reddish color because of the blood of the maiden Sirmonde who threw herself from above to rejoin her lover killed by her husband out of jealousy?

EVENING – SENANQUE ABBEY
Before getting enchanted by the beauty of the village of Gordes, that it 75 minutes away from Valensole, there will be a stop at the Senanque Abbey, the symbol of the Provence, a suggestive monument entoured by lavender famous all over the world for its particularity. This time it will be a monk to act as a guide inside the abbey, adopting the necessary precautions for encouraging the local economy.
After visiting the abbey it is possible to access at the shop where the monks' products are sold such as liquors, hygiene items, books, cds, lavender honey, lavender essence and much more.
