A few days ago we decided we had enough of the crazy city. Whenever we walked outside our front door to get some air it seemed that the whole city was also out for a walk. The mayor thought there were too many people out walking too so she closed down the lakefront walking areas. We decided to head to our lake house in Michigan were we only see about 10 people a day max.

Faced the world today... mostly to get Trader Joe’s wine because my stash is getting low... but there was a line out the door to make sure there was enough room for social distancing in the store! Don’t worry I went to Jewel where everyone either too close or kept an extreme distance and the anxiety was high! But don’t worry we are now stocked with the seeentials

For those of you that don’t know me, I’m an extreme extrovert married to an amazing introvert who is currently stuck in our Chicago apartment on the 17th floor for atleast 2 more weeks because our govonor has now given us all the “shelter in place” order. Even though this officially starts at 5pm tonight I have been working from home the past week, practicing my social distancing and have only had several break downs.
People talk about being extroverts and introverts like it depends on the day as to what category they think they fall into. Not me... I get my joy, my energy and even sometimes my self worth through my interactions with others. When I was younger I used to cry to my mom if none of my friends could come over and play and she had to try to get it into my think head that I can actually enjoy my time when I’m alone.... not sure if she ever got me to understand that...
Not being able to have that for this past week has been tough, especially because we don’t know when it will end. My introverted husband who has trained for this extra alone time his whole life is being great at reminding me I have so much to be thankful for and that’s what I have to focus on.
I hope to use this platform to share my experience, thoughts and funny moments in hopes that others out there feeling alone in this time of uncertainty are not alone.
