my baby died. i feel as though i have nothing left in me. i held him kissed him told him i loved him for the last time ever today. i won’t have to share my pillow at night anymore, i won’t have to keep the bathroom door open at all times in case he wanted to go play with the toilet paper rolls, i won’t have to shop for his toys and treats anymore, i wont fall asleep to his snoring anymore, i wont feel another bite from him when i’ve kissed him too much, another grunt for when i’ve annoyed him, his honking when he’s excited to see me. i don’t have a baby to love anymore. my baby is gone. idk how to carry on. my apartment was decorated the way it is for him, my phd i chose because i can work from home with him, my whole life was him. he has a parcel on its way to me still and another waiting at the post office for me to collect. what do i do? do i keep watering his plants? what do i do with his mountain of veggies in the fridge? what do i do with his unopened birthday presents? since he’s been my baby it’s always been him and i against the world. now it’s just me alone. it’s only been a few hours without him and i already miss him so much. i don’t know how to carry on. i always knew he’d leave me one day, but i really didn’t think he’ll be taken from me so fast on a random wednesday. just last night i was talking about his birthday cake designs. i wasn’t ready. please ziggy, find me again, i’m not done being your mum.

idk where else to say this so i’m going to say it into the void. my bunny, who’s my world, is doing very poorly atm. we spent overnight at the emergency vets, and now he’s back with his specialist vets. they’ve gently told me he can go at any moment. idk how to do life without him. i got him when i first moved out, we went through everything together, illnesses, injuries, lockdowns, unis, breakups, everything. he sleeps on my pillow next to my head at night, i wake up to his kisses, i work from home with him begging for food, kissing me, playing with me, my life is my bunny. idk how to even do life without him.
