That cucumber salad you posted about looks really good, do you have a recipe that you'd recommend? I'm not polish in the slightest but I fucking love cucumber.

oh fuck yeah let me yap about my favorite peasant slop my beloved my saving grace in the summer heat

thankfully my dear mizeria (yes it's literally called misery) is a really really girlfailure (me) friendly recipe

so for the most standard traditional one all you're going to need is some cucumbers, salt, pinch of pepper and over here it's usually done with 18% sour cream but apparently that's a polish thing so any thick sour cream will do

now you take your cucumbers, peel them and slice to your liking (personally I like it when they're really thin) then you coat them in a generous amount of salt and leave to sit for 15 min to an hour

then all you gotta do is drain the excess cucumber water, add your sour cream (about a spoon for every 100g of cucumbers but this isn't an exact measurements type of dish) and add whatever herbs/spices/other veggies you like. personally i believe every mizeria needs a good amount of dill. but I've seen some people also add chives, onion and lemon juice tho I can't testify to their deliciousness OH sliced radish is also fun to add from time to time

mizeria with some boiled potatoes and melted butter is such a nostalgia hit for me and also a top tier low effort summer dish genuinely this stuff is so refreshing if you've ever got some cucumbers lying around highly recommend
