AMG G63 „Nuthin but a G thang“.

The AMG G63 brings driving performance to the segment of unadulterated off-road vehicles in unexpected form.

The AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine now also replaces the previous 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine in the G63. It generates 430KW (585HP) in this model, and delivers a maximum torque of 850Nm.

This is available across a wide rev range between 2.500 and 3.500 rpm, and provides a sense of effortless superiority. It absolves a sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. This dynamic performance is maintained up to the limited maximum speed of 220km/h, or 240km/h with the AMG Driver‘s package.

The two turbochargers are not positioned on the outside of the cylinder banks, but inside the cylinder „V“. Advantages: a compact engine design, spontaneous response of the turbochargers and low exhaust emissions thanks to optimal airflow to the near-engine catalysts.

The eight-cylinder delivers its power with muscular torque in all engine speed ranges, combined with maximum efficiency for low fuel consumption and emission figures.

Two twin scroll turbochargers are used for optimal response.

The housing is divided into two parallel flow channels. Combined with two separate exhaust ducts in the exhaust manifold, this makes it possible to control the exhaust gases on the turbine wheel separately.

The exhaust gas from the first and fourth cylinders of the cylinder bank is fed into one duct, that from the second and third cylinders to the other duct. The aim is to prevent the individual cylinders from having mutually adverse effects on the gas cycle.

This reduces the exhaust gas back pressure and improves gas exchange. The results are increased output, more torque at low revs and very fast response times.

Maybach Exelero „The Dark Knight“.

The Maybach Exelero high performance show car was unveiled to the world for the first time in the Tempodrom in Berlin.

The 700hp two-seater with a Mercedes-AMG V12 biturbo engine is a unique custom model produced for Fulda Reifenwerke, which were using the Maybach Exelero as a reference vehicle for a newly developed generation of wide tyres.

The German manufacturer of luxury cars built the unique model as a modern interpretation of its legendary streamlined sports car from the 1930s, thereby forging a link with the historical predecessor, which at that time was likewise based on a powerful Maybach automobile (SW38) and used by Fulda for tyre tests.

The Exelero embodies the highest expression to date of the Maybach individualisation strategy of offering specific custom solutions on request. In initial tests on the high-speed track in Nardo (Italy), the unique vehicle reached a top speed of 351.45 km/h.

Developers at Maybach designed the custom model with the participation of students from Pforzheim College.

The Exelero was built by the prototype specialists at Stola in Turin.

AMG SL63 „An Icon Reborn“.

AMG SL, the new edition of an icon, returns to its roots with a classic soft top and sporty character. At the same time, the luxurious roadster as a 2+2 seater is particularly suitable for everyday use and puts its power down on the road with all-wheel drive for the first time.

High-tech components such as the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active anti-roll stabilisation, rear-axle steering, the optionally available AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system and the standard-fit DIGITAL LIGHT with projection function sharpen the sporty profile.

In combination with the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, this results in a driving experience of the highest order. As a consistent Performance Luxury model, Mercedes-AMG in Affalterbach has developed the SL completely independently. Two models with AMG V8 engines will kick off the market launch.

At market launch, the new SL starts with two output levels of the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine. The engines are assembled purely by hand at the company’s site in Affalterbach according to the „One Man, One Engine“ principle. In the top model SL 63 4MATIC+ (combined fuel consumption 12.7-11.8 l/100 km, combined CO2 emissions 288-268 g/km)[1].

The engine develops 430 kW (585 hp) and provides a maximum torque of 800 Nm over a wide rev range from 2500 to 4500 rpm. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes only 3.6s and the top speed is 315km/h.

In the SL 55 4MATIC+ (combined fuel consumption 12.7-11.8 l/100 km, combined CO2 emissions 288-268 g/km), the V8 unit develops an output of 350 kW (476 hp) and a peak torque of 700 Nm. The sprint from standstill to 100 km/h takes 3.9s and the top speed is 295km/h.

Pagani Utopia Sirena „Art Meets Engineering Perfection“.

The alchemy of pleasure, the equation of beauty. What would be important for the next Pagani hypercar? Horacio Pagani certainly had his own ideas, but he asked his closest clients, those who eagerly await each of his creations, to express their wishes.

They already had exceptionally fast and beautiful cars, what were they still missing? Three terms stood out almost each time they replied: simplicity, lightness and the pleasure of driving. In its development, the C10 project therefore went against the main trends of the time. No heavy batteries, no hybrid power, just a wonderful V12; no dual-clutch system, just a pure seven-speed manual or automated transmission.

All this to ensure that the car would respond better than ever to its driver’s every action and work with them to be the purest form of driving, a ‘classic’ experience defined in new ways.

The Pagani M158 EVO² V12 engine, a 6.0L biturbo specially built by Mercedes-AMG for Pagani, is the result of an enormous development work. It delivers 864HP and, above all, a prodigious 1100Nm of Torque. It revs higher and is both more flexible and more powerful while meeting the most stringent emissions regulations.

SLR McLaren 722 MSO SLR Edition 1 of 25 „What a Legend“.

The SLR 722 Edition is a car manufactured jointly by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. The SLR was named as an hommage to the original 300 SLR.

The 722 nameplate is derived from the victory won by the British racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-driver Denis Jenkinson in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the starting number 722 (indicating a start time of 7:22 a.m.).

C63 AMG Coupé Black Series „The Dark Side Of Mercedes-AMG“.

The C63 AMG Black Series includes an upgraded version of the legendary M156 6.2L n/a V8 engine rated by 517hp and 620Nm of torque. A black diffuser insert from the SLS AMG GT3, chromed twin tailpipes, AMG sports suspension with AMG rear axle differential lock, three-stage ESP, two AMG sports bucket seats, black DINAMICA microfibre upholstery on the centre panels of the seats and doors, omission of the rear bench seat (single rear seats available as option).

AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/DINAMICA microfibre, steering wheel rim featuring flattened top and bottom sections has aluminium shift paddles for manual gear changes, red seat belts and red contrasting top stitching on the steering wheel, on the seats, door centre panels, armrests on the doors, the centre console and on the shift lever gaiter, three autonomous round dials has a three-dimensional TFT colour display.

What a masterpiece straight outta Affalterbach!

The CLK AMG DTM is powered by the M113k 5.5L Supercharged V8 engine producing 428kW (582hp) and 800Nm of Torque.

The front and rear track are widened by 2.9 and 4.2 inches, special tires and suspension modifications allow the car to handle a mind-boggling 1.35g of lateral acceleration. 0–100 km/h acceleration is just 3.8 seconds, and top speed is limited to 300km/h.

Pagani Utopia Roadster „The Open Air Masterpiece“.

From the very outset, Pagani Automobili has maintained its loyalty to the V12 engine and to its collaboration with Mercedes-AMG, initiated thanks to Juan Manuel Fangio, world champion with the German manufacturer and supporter of Horacio Pagani’s pragmatic vision.

This continuity has not stood in the way of progress: The team worked intensively on the version of the Pagani V12 destined for the Utopia Roadster.

It is an authentic marvel of mechanics, light and compact, built in close collaboration with AMG engineers, who are in charge of its exclusive production for the Italian Hypercar. Each engine is entirely assembled by a single craftsman, a true mechanical artist.

The power output of 864HP (635KW), comparable to that of many racing engines, does not do full justice to the incredible versatility of this mechanical system: capable of turning smoothly at low revs and delivering explosive acceleration when the driver wants to experience the full power of the Pagani engine.

Turbo response is immediate, thanks partly to the prodigious torque of 1100Nm delivered extraordinarily. No heavy batteries, no hybrid system, just the wonderful roar of a V12 engine.

AMG GT R Pro „The Monster of The Green Hell“.

Back in the days the AMG GT R PRO was characterised by yet further improved driving dynamics, in particular on the racetrack. The experience from the AMG GT3 and AMG GT4 racing cars entered into the development.

The measures from motorsport can be clustered in four areas: suspension, lightweight construction, aerodynamics and looks.

Suspension: the optimal set-up

The AMG coil-over suspension offers even more choices for tailoring the set-up to the particular circuit. As in professional motorsport, the driver is not only able to set the spring preload length mechanically, but can now also adjust the compression and rebound of the dampers.

This is done quickly and precisely without tools via a click system with an integral adjustment dial on the damper. The compression rate is adjusted separately for high-speed and low-speed movements.

This means that the settings can be dialled-in for slow and fast compression movements as is common practice in motorsport. This allows influencing the body dive and roll as the well as the traction of the AMG GT R PRO even more selectively.

The front axle is fitted with an adjustable torsion bar made of lightweight carbon fibre. Its counterpart at the rear is made of steel, is likewise adjustable and also saves weight due to its hollow tube design.

The AMG GT R is already fitted with Uniball spherical bearings at the lower wishbones of the rear axle. The AMG GT R PRO now gets these bearings also for the upper wishbones.
