Project Diary - Abbies Jumpsuit

We are back from a little blog hiatus with this super cute Liberty Jumpsuit made by Abbie from the Christchurch Store! We posted this make recently on our instagram and loved it so much that we decided to feature it on the blog! Jumpsuits are a great piece to have in your wardrobe as they can be worn alone in summer or over merino base layers in winter. Abbie had already made this pattern up in a linen/lycra for summer and loved the fit so when the temperature started to drop in Christchurch she started to look for fabric for a heavier winter version. Inspiration // Abbie loves all things pink and is inspired by designers like Moschino and Del Pozo. Her style is very 60s/70s mod and she is not afraid of colourful prints. Her inspiration for this jumpsuit came from the colours in Commes De Garcons Fall 2012 collection. Pattern // New Look 6446
Fabric // The fabric used for this project was the Liberty Cotton Twill “Jolee” which is available in-stores (Except Sydney L) and in another colourway online. Check out the Fabrics image above for others that would be suitable for a winter jumpsuit like Abbies.

Jumpsuits are a great piece to have in your wardrobe as they can be worn alone or over merino base layers. She had already made one up in a linen/lycra fabric for summer and loved the fit so decided to make it up in a heavier fabric for a winter version.
