EXHIBITION
Plan - I want to make a fairy tale books with all fairy tales based in Mauritius which teach children about the island but also about morals. I want to make a cosy relaxed area that the audience of my exhibition can interact with I want to illustrate my fairy tales in my appliqué forms inspired by Vaco Baissac and hang them on a wall

Lakaz Maman Work Experience Lakaz Maman is a little street kitchen in Southampton where master chef winner, Shelina Permalloo manages her own Mauritian style food. Knowing about this restaurant since it opened I decided that my project would be the perfect opportunity to gain some experience around Mauritian culture and food. Trying to be more pro-active with this research, Shelina gave me the waitressing role where I served the customers and sold them the food. I was surrounded by other Mauritians and the culture of the food. I was even lucky enough to on the day, create a new drink for the menu made from ginger, tamarind, sugar and water. I worked with some other waitresses to make this and I also learnt a lot about their most popular drink and dish, The 'Alooda' and The 'Gateux Piment'.
