Apps and websites for keeping track of your kinlist

Personally, I have a hard time keeping track of my kin list, memories and other important information. Here is a list of websites and apps you can use to keep track of yours!

As a heads up it isn't a complete list, if you have any we've missed or other information we didn't include, then feel free to add on.

Notion

Notion is a multi platform productivity software that can be used for making Wiki's.

Pros: Plenty of space and pages you can make for categories. Easy categorization and filtering.

Cons: Hard to use. There is a premium option. AI is an annoying icon in the corner.

Google docs

Google docs (or just a general documents) is a multi platform document files.

Pros: Easy to use. Free. Customizable.

Cons: Lack of origizeational options.

Spreadsheet

You can use Google sheets.

Pros: You can categorise it.

Cons: Not much space for details.

Discord

Discord is a free talking app.

Pros: Free. You can have many channels for your kins. You can talk to other people.

Cons: There is a premium version. Privacy could potentially be an issue.

Notes app

The notes app is a free app that comes with most phones and even some PC's and laptops.

Pros: Free. You can have as many notes as you want.

Cons: Transferring could be an issue. Lack of organizational options.

Pronouns.cc

Pronouns.cc is a website for listing pronouns and gender. I have personally never used Pronouns.cc so this is from observation.

Pros: You can have multiple kins listed.

Cons: Listing info is limited.

Carrd

Carrd is a website making tool.

Pros: Fully customizable.

Cons: You have to pay for multiple carrds. You can't have too many elements on one carrd with out paying either.

Rentry

Is another website maker but free.

Pros: Free. Fully customizable.

Cons: Advertisements. Finding a url to use.

Simply Plural:

Technically a system/plurality app/site, so I will note that there may be some issues using it. However so long as you aren't claiming to be a system when you're not, I see no harm.

Pros: Free, great place for categorizing. Allows you to add little notes for specific kins, pronouns, and basic info. Cross platform with a good working site and mobile app

Cons: Not much 'basic info' to fill in, No option to put images for notes (for profile pic it's allowed)

Milanote

This is like, the ultimate boss of organizing. It's absolutely amazing and I love to use it for my ocs, but I haven't gotten a chance to use it for my kins yet

Pros: Amazing organization stuff, very creative but allows for templates too! Easy to work with

Cons: Limited amounts of assets until you need to pay money. Shitty mobile version just not worth touching as of now

Isofact

Isofact is a term like isofic (created by @gam8ligant) but for factfolk ("factkin"). This definition won't be as long (since a lot of it is addressed in isofic), but here are what it stands for:

Factfolk are who they say they are. A factfolk who says they're Josh Hutcherson is no less truthful than Josh Hutcherson saying he's Josh Hutcherson, as an example.

Factfolk and factives both deserve equal treatment. If a factfolk says they're someone, that is just as truthful and valid as a factive saying they're someone.

Factfolk claiming to be people is not impersonation or identity fraud. You cannot impersonate yourself, and you cannot be impersonating someone else if you say you aren't your ringers (other people who id as the same person). You cannot commit identity fraud if you aren't stealing people's personal information such as credit card number or social security number (which is, obviously, not okay).

Factfolk are not "promoting delusions", "anti-recovery", or "crossing boundaries" by being themselves.

Being factfolk is not voluntary, factfolk cannot control who they are any more than non-factfolk can. If people have a problem with factfolk or are made uncomfortable by factfolk of themselves, they can block and ignore them.

If a factfolk says they did/didn't do anything that any of their ringers didn't/did do, they are telling the truth because they have the authority on what they did. For example, my boyfriend Wilbur did not abuse anyone, despite his ringer being an abuser, because they have different lives and just happen to be the same base person. Both of them are still William Gold, however.

What is factkin? (By a Fact-copinglinker)

Getting rid of harmful stereotypes and false information!

The general opinion aka hate on factkin seems to be deeply intertwined with the Otherkin community, Theres barely any representation from actual factkins and most of the hate towards factkin individuals is based on false information and stereotypes. I, myself am a little scared to speak up about this because people still have this deeply intertwined hatred towards factkin individuals to this day. I hope youre willing to listen.

So what is factkin? (From a factlinks position.) Factkin, or Factualkin, is having an involuntary kintype that is factual-based. For example, someone who involuntarily identifies in a non-physical way as another person. Tho factkin is not limited to human beings and identities on factual bases like a specific real animal also fall under factkin. For example the dog of your friend, you identify specifically as that dog? Youre factkin.

Factkin is never entirely factual, Its like taking a factual base and fill in cracks with fiction, you arent in another persons head and fill these cracks with what they present to be for ex. online or with your own perception of them, internet personas, on stage personas etc. All of these are factkin identities.

So why are factkin so hated within the community?

1. The term factkin was coined to mock otherkin but has since been reclaimed by Actual factkin individuals. To go against this factkin folk uses the term Factualkin instead, tho factkin is still more broadly known.

2. People claim being factkin is identity theft wich is simply not true. Identity theft is a serious crime involving stealing personal data such as your social security number or credit card information with the intention of making profit. Factkin individuals do not do that.

This identity is Non physical, Factkin individuals are aware of not physically being their kin. I hope i was able to explain factkin to you in a way that it is understandable and in a way that maybe got rid of some stereotypes.

What i also wanted to mention is that theres ethical and unethical ways of handling being factkin. Respecting boundaries is very important, dont go up to your source and tell them you identify as them cause this will make people uncomfortable.

Also stealing someones posts, Storys, name and completely impersonating and copying their online presence isnt something i support as this is also heavily breaking boundaries.

These are things people on instagram were complaining abt as i left out the ethical part on the post first so i thought i might include this here. Im hoping i didnt say anything wrong, dont mind correcting me!

If the general consensus of being 'kin is that it's "involuntary" and you "can't choose who you are", why the hell are people going after Factkin if they Don't try to steal identity, trick and/or manipulate people and in general try to use their identity for wrong? If they're Not doing that, why you givin' 'em shit? Even if they became or choose that identity?

Also... reincarnation from people that existed is like the most common belief..? That's how reincarnation works, when you die your soul goes into another body and is born again.

As for people that exist nowdays, either psychologically identify as their persona and public struggles. Or multiple universe, except oopsies, this soul ended up getting multiplied or ended up in a double situation. Can't that happen? If it can happen with Fictionkin, why can't it happen with Factkin? If fictotypes were real people in another universe, wouldn't that be the same as being factkin, just in our universe they come from fictional media?

I actually see a lot of fictives and systems with fictives making these passive aggressive little "challenge" posts directed at singlets, and after thinking about it, it really doesn't make that much sense to me. "Singlets treat fictives like normal people challenge (impossible)" but most singlets either don't really know better or they're already trying to be respectful to fictives. Either they know or they don't, and being greeted with passive aggression isn't going to make them want to learn.

What I find funny, though, is that the basic respect fictives expect (and know they should be giving), they don't give to factives. And since fictives already understand introject respect, here are some LEVEL: IMPOSSIBLE!!! Basic respect challenges for fictives and systems with fictives.

Fictives stop judging factives for their source challenge!!

Fictives stop excluding other introjects for no reason challenge!!

Problematic fictives stop being hypocrites challenge!!

Fictives stop making everything about you challenge!!

Understand that introject does not inherently mean fictive challenge!!

Treat factives with respect even if you don't like their source challenge!!

To factkin/factualkin: you do NOT need to justify your existence.

You don't have to be the result of trauma, you don't have to be the system's favorite person/artist/etc., you don't have to have a past life, and other reasons I've missed.

You don't even need to have a fixed reason. You can not know, not care, or question/look for it for life.

If you're any of those, or if you don't know why you're this way, you shouldn't have to be forced to disclose your reasons for being. Your privacy is important, and your existence is a morally neutral thing.

You also don't have to call yourself a factive or factual introject if you don't want to. The words "factkin" or "factualkin" having a bad name does not make you deserve harassment or abuse.
