danny didn't know how to explain what he felt was happening. not just with the town, but with himself too. he hadn't really ever noticed it before, but something was strange for him. he looked at sam and said, "okay, just promise not to freak or anything?"
◟ ⋆ ❛ sam wondered what it was specifically danny was talking about . for the most part , she felt like she could trust his intuition , but there was still some room for doubt . still , he seemed pretty serious , so it incentivized her to want to listen . “ okay , danny . i believe you . i've never seen you like this before . ”

nancy nodded her head. "well, it could be this place too." she didn't think any of them were really adjusting well to being in a place like this. except maybe the friends of them who had no memories. she still wondered what happened to them. "i don't know how, but she's here. and she's alive, and doesn't remember anything from hawkins."
" i know that, he's just bein'.... i don't know. " dustin sighed as a hint of a frown laced countenance. he adored his friends and he hated seeing them so down and out. especially mike. " i've only seen you, mike, and steve. " dustin nodded as he added his two cents in. " wait ... chrissy? how? why? "

daphne shrugged her shoulders. could she even dare to tell him? he had been honest with her. about feelings, about everything. but something made daphne clam up about the fact she'd been thinking about everything he's said since she's known him. and she didn't know what to say otherwise. "life." she replied. which wasn't entirely far from the truth. "i was just thinking about life."
"is that so?" fred asked, eyes still upon the other. he has a small smile upon his lips; he wasn't entirely sure he had bought what she was saying. but, he'll take it... for now. "what were you thinking about?"

rory nodded her head as she looked back to jess. she hoped that the flush on her cheeks could be caught as something just like the fast pace they'd just been moving at, or the cool air around them. "yeah...it was unexpected." she replied, shrugging her shoulders. she was trying to gauge what he was thinking.
there was still a bit of a blush upon his cheeks, a different sparkle in his eye. he kind of just moves along, matching up to the quick step that rory was doing. "that was uh... something, wasn't it?" he says to the other. it kind of only continued to move towards exactly how he felt; something he didn't say out loud.

she shook her head, "no, i don't think i've ever done that." she answered. she couldn't remember doing something like that. "well, then you're just good at confusing things, then?"
" you act like you've never set a fishbowl on fire , " nick said , his tone sounding surprised somehow. " oh , i've never been good at riddles. "

kim nodded her head, "sorry, i didn't realize i was in the way." and she side stepped, moving out of the way. "better?" she asked. "i was trying to decide what i wanted."
❝ yes, sorry -- i was just asking if i could reach around you to grab some pasta from the shelf. ❞ shego hummed softly, offering the other a delicate smile.

laurie didn't quite know if she believed him. her eyebrows quirked up, but she shook her head as well. "i was just more thinking out loud. you know." she explained with a shrug of her shoulders. laurie didn't know quite what to think about all of the new people in town. she felt like she wanted to be both open but also guarded.
his eyebrow quirked, licking his lips and shrugging. laurie didn't remember him so he had to play it off, which he was typically good at. “ you come to me and tell me you'd be the good guy now. so i'm going to typically think you're not the good guy. you come to me as you know me. and as usual, my opinion isn’t accepted. by anyone. ”

hope nodded her head as she listened to katherine's words. she was searching for any sort of recognition from the other. even though she hadn't personally met katherine ever, she'd heard stories. but this was totally different. she didn't know what to expect. but a story about a cactus certainly wasn't it. "well, i've definitely seen weird names before, so i wouldn't be too shocked." hope replied.
❝ it was an odd conversation. ❞ katherine admitted, shaking her head as she recalled some of what she'd heard. when asked the next question, katherine nodded in agreement. ❝ yes, and it's incredibly annoying. like who would think someone's name is actually cactus?

"i feel like there should be a seasonal flavors shop year round, like if i'm craving pumpkin still i should be able to have it." mj replied. she didn't know if she would want all the flavors, but she would want the options of it.
❝ right!? ❞ gwen agreed, shaking her head in disbelief. ❝ i feel like i had just gotten used to having pumpkin spice lattes back and then all of a sudden there's peppermint mocha slapping me in the face. ❞

tiana listened to what she could make, taking note of everything. she didn't quite teach cooking classes. but she could probably handle at least offering a bit of a hand to someone who needed it. "okay, well, that's a start." she said with a smile. "and what were you, uh, going to make?"
" i'm not too sure! " fiona sighed, feeling a little helpless in this moment. and embarrassed. " i'm real good at casseroles. well, greenbean casseroles. " she offered though she's still feeling defeated. " alfredo. "

"i saw phoebe, but she's like monica and didn't seem to remember anything either." chandler explained, shaking his head. it was annoying. he didn't know what was going on. "i haven't seen rachel. or ross, come to think of it." he didn't know what to think of it all. but at least now he had joey. chandler nodded his head, "old times," he paused, "except in a totally weird place."
he shook his head towards the words. "no! only you and monica!" he says. "i'm getting kind of worried... where's rachel? and what about phoebe?" joey asked, a bit puzzled. his smile lights up some more than, "really? it'll be like old times!" he says, chuckling a bit. he nodded his head, "it's really quiet, it's kind of scary..." then again, he was really used to new york city.

"i think high schoolers are pretty much like middle schoolers, anybody would make fun of you given the chance." juliet shrugged her shoulders. she didn't really think age meant much when it came to kids making fun of their teachers. "do you think i look that bad?"
"honestly, more power to ya. i'm surprised you can even dress up for middle schoolers. i feel like they're like really mean... that's why i went for teaching high school."

sidney didn't understand all of the people that were coming here. what was so special about this town that drew them all here? she had no clue what was happening. but it was hard enough managing everything else and then thinking about what could happen. "i mean, maybe they're not all freaks." sidney said with a slight grimace. but then again, she hadn't met everyone who had just come to town. she couldn't very well vouch for all of them. "but there are definitely some weirdos." she shook her head at the thought of it all. she hadn't really given it much thought since it happened. having a lot of other things on her mind. but really thinking about it all? she didn't know what else to think about it. "if we knew what it was, tatum, i don't think we'd be here. we'd probably be in our car very very far away." she practically shuddered at the thought, even daring to say the words out loud. but she couldn't help thinking it.

◟ ⋆ ❛ she was glad other people were taking notice , that they were aware of the newcomers . tatum wondered if they put everyone else on edge as much as they did for her . she couldn't understand why they were coming to mystic of all places , either . it was so strange . tatum couldn't figure it out , she wished she could . it was all just so peculiar . “ it is , ” she agreed . “ and some of them . . . are so weird . like , they're freaks . ” that was the best way she could describe the people she was coming across . as long as sidney knew she wouldn't ever betray her trust like that , tatum could relax and understand why sidney wasn't ready to discuss things . “ that makes sense , ” she said , nodding . “ it's all so weird . you know ? ” she asked , brows furrowing . “ the dreams , the people . . . it's gotta mean something , sid . i just wish i knew what it was . ”

hallie had wondered what this person was like more often than not since they met. this person who shared her face, but she didn't know. she felt almost like they should be something but she couldn't put her finger on it. she didn't know, at least. "like a little kid?" hallie questioned. she shrugged. she could understand that. there were days where she still felt like the twelve year old running around the winery and the fields in the vineyard looking for her parents. feeling lost and like she just needed an escape. she hadn't known what she was missing. "bridal showers? we've gotten a few. definitely more showers than bachelorettes. though we've been the, uh, first stop on a few bachelorette tours." hallie said with a small laugh. she didn't know if that was at all the answer that annie was looking for but it was the truth. "so i know how they can be. and their friend, who get over protective in planning."
annie watched her sister carefully. she thought she could read her , at least to an extent. they may not have grown up together , per se , but they were more like than they were not ; or maybe call it twin telepathy. she knew she had put hallie on edge. " i know , " she said as she forced a smile. clutching the blanket tighter around her , she stuck her chin out slightly. " you didn't do anything wrong. just ... i just feel extra like a little kid today , i guess. " a soft laugh escaped her strawberry - tinted lips. she scratched her temple as she thought what to say next. did she find something to complain about from work ? or just try to move on ? " do you ever get bachelorette parties , or like ... bridal showers at the winery ? " she asked out of curiosity. " do you know how soon - to - be - brides can be sometimes ? "

"a long time ago?" bloom thought about it. she couldn't remember meeting the girl standing before her. but she also didn't want to be rude either. she just simply felt like she was meeting so many people time and time again. "i guess that's a good thing, it would be bad if i reminded you of, say, your worst enemy, huh?" bloom laughed. she didn't know what else to think. but she was glad that, at the very least, she wasn't reminding people of someone that they hated. "i like it, it's very unique. i haven't heard it before."
" oh , um ... " musa hesitated. she didn't know how to answer ; she didn't want to lie to her friend , but it felt like the only option in this situation. what else was she supposed to do ??? " maybe ... a long time ago , " she said with a forced smile. " you remind me of one of my best friends back home , i guess. " she exhaled a slight chuckle. " thank you. my mother picked it out. "

"there were quite a bit, maybe we should try a few and see what we like best?" she asked. she didn't know what fred might like. but she wanted to. there was a part of her that felt like what he said, that she knew him was true, but she didn't know how to believe that.
truthfully, if only one of them had to have memories between them; fred would chose it to be him or hoped it would be him - just so daphne wouldn't have to deal with... well, all of this. the wishing of the other remembering and everything in between. he nodded his head, "yeah, that sounds cool," he said. "what flavors did you see in the window?"

rory had a lot going on for her, she liked her job and everything she had. even if she struggled with it a lot of the time. she liked this place, but she dreamed still of seeing the world if she could. rory wanted to get out and explore, wander, get to know what every place she read about was like. she wondered what the influx of new people were doing here. visiting? moving here? she had no idea, but rory, ever the journalist, was intrigued and wanted to know more about it all. "that young." rory shrugged her shoulders. "i kept asking about the coffee, reaching for it you know? and i think she just sort of caved." she laughed. lorelai was just kind of like that.

◟ ⋆ ❛ nathan missed his life , he would do anything to have it back . he wasn't the kind of guy who was going to relay all of that to a mere stranger , though . he had no idea what the people in this town knew , or didn't know . his primary goal was establishing some sort of trust with haley , getting her to know who he was and feel safe enough around him . he'd figure out how to get her memories back eventually , too . this girl , however , didn't need to know any of that . she was a mere stranger he was having a simple conversation with . “ yeah , i can see why she'd say that . ” nathan furrowed his brows , a bit surprised by her words . “ that young ? ” dan never would've let him near the stuff , would've spewed a bunch of nonsense about stunted growth and a million other little things .
