The moment that she caught him staring, he felt his cheeks turn into a pink shade. He didn’t mean to stare, but the food seemed really good, “Really? You would let me join you?” he was surprised, but he was definitely up for it, “I mean, if you really don’t mind, I would love to,” he enjoyed eating more than he should, it was a good thing that junk food wasn’t bad for his health anymore, otherwise he would be very unhealthy.

  “sure, i wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t a real offer.” she replied with a brief smile, a gaze glancing to her previous company the dog, teasing the man by asking the dog if they were comfortable with the stranger joining them only to be answered with a roll onto their back. “i think that is a yes -- i have to be honest though i’m not very good at sharing, at least when it comes to food.”

“Is it weird to ask questions when someone is dancing?”  Kai really did not know much about the place or the rules.  One reason why he laid one question after another with the woman.  “Sure, that sounds nice.”  Plus, Juno had always been extremely beautiful.  It would be nice to see her move around a little.  “Huh?  What does that mean?”  He asked, unsure about her wording.  Kai was slow, a lot of people had to dumb down things for him.  As she ran her finger along his chin, he looked up and smirked.

“Oh wow, I mean I can dance to anything with a good beat.”  He responded, a bit nervously.  Although he was serious about being a dancer, he also was anxious about the whole idea.  But if he wanted to be able to afford the new console and rent he needed the extra cash.

 “no, most of the time though the chatty ones are first timers.” she responded, for a moment surprise took her then she offered a warm smile. despite him continuing to talk juno got up from her chair and made her way to his, the fae taking a seat on the arm of his chair. “it just means we don’t always have the nicest guests here. don’t worry your head too much, you’re way too good looking for worry lines.”

  “do you want to change? i think we have a spare outfit or two in the back and you know kristy picks the best music... plus you do get to keep your tips if anyone throws some cash your way even for a practice run.”

The young fae clearly said whatever popped into her mind, it reminded him much of his fiery daughter who often tested her parents’ patience.  However, in this case it was endearing to him.  “I find it delightful,” he smiled.  Beau frowned, “my apologies.  I cannot help that I don’t enjoy it as I would as a human.”  The thought of taking her to Stoker’s still rubbed him the wrong way, but clearly she wanted to visit the vampire institution.

“I suppose, a drink or two would not hurt.  Shall I drive us there?”  He inquired, wondering if they needed to head back to his vehicle.  “If at any point you get uncomfortable or want to leave, please let me know.  I never want to put you in a bad position.”

  “that’s sweet, you’ll eventually change your mind i promise.” juno teased giving him a thumbs up, she’d caught herself almost giving him a pat on the back - like reassuring a long term friend. at the thought juno remembered leo, she hadn’t heard from him in so long it made her wonder if they should consider themselves friends after all she rarely felt like she could keep up with the high of his life - they were certainly at different levels when it came to going out and having fun, leo always seemed to last longer. “why’re you apologizing? there’s nothing you can do about it. honestly you should see the people who are human and find every way possible to complain about food. no one will ever be happy with their life if you’re looking for perfect.” her shoulders lifted, before doing a double take at him

   suddenly realizing juno always walked everywhere - how long had it been since she climbed into the car of a stranger? “that would be great, i actually don’t have a car  -- you’re very considerate thank you. i’ll certainly let you know.”

  “oh - hey wait!” juno ran after the woman as they seemed to sweep right out of lottie totties like the wind, although it wasn’t a big deal surely they would realize eventually the wallet was left but wasn’t it nicer when someone helped out? she hoped so, when catching up with the stranger she flashed a smile. “hi , sorry probably so random to be chased it’s just you forgot your wallet.” she offered the small object out, a smile laced on her lips.

  it wasn’t hard for the dancers to discover places, people liked to talk when they were relaxed. particularly the topic was the black rabbit, exciting and apparently something to do when the weather got warmer. juno was excited simply to be out, the girls all sat at the bar of the place, softly talking among themselves as music filled the room. junos eyes though fell to a woman that was just next to them, her outfit jaw dropping to the fae. she even slipped from her seat to one closer, a large smile readied on her face. “hi, can i ask where you got your dress from?”

The shapeshifter couldn’t help but laugh, shaking her head slightly. “I get most of my excitement from work,” she replied after a moment with a very slight shrug of her shoulders. Perhaps that sounded sad to say out loud but in reality she sort of preferred it that way. People in her life had a tendency to come and go and for the most part it was only her friends that lingered a little longer- and even then they were all adults and had their own lives. But when it came to her job? She was always encountering interesting people. They may not have always been good people to be around- but they were absolutely interesting. “The only thing interesting in my personal life is a close friend who is lovesick and a grumpy police officer who I’ve been slowly getting to stop scowling whenever he sees me. Not all that exciting.” Which reminded her that she would have to check in on Tony soon. It was always entertaining just to see how things was going with his girlfriend. “It seems to me jealousy is just a part of human nature, darling. A lot of people have a tendency to covet what they don’t have. As long as you don’t let your jealousy cause you to hurt someone it shouldn’t be a problem.”

 “excitement from work is only one kind, don’t you know there’s a million more forms of it out there? like excitement from meeting someone new or going out with friends - please tell me you are doing just a little bit of that or you will have no choice but going out with me this weekend.” warning with a finger pointed in bexs direction, dare the other ask juno her life some what revolved around work as most of her nights were split between that and going out with co-workers. “well that’s exciting, what’re your thoughts on him? do you -- like that there’s less scowling going on? and lovesick is definitely a word to use... well to be frank i’m not human so it should be something i’m above.” the fae winked playfully, of course she heard a rumor there was a human somewhere in someone's line of her family.

“Why wouldn’t you give me a dance?”  He questioned, curious to her logic.  “I guess, I can pay.  Is there a certain limit of money?  I only brought like fifty dollars, some blow pops, nerds, and gummy worms.”  Kai informed her.  “Wow, that isn’t cool though for them to be jerks to you.  You are providing a service and they should respect you.”  The warlock never understood people being rude.  A lot of people were rude to him, not necessarily at work.  But there were people who blatantly told him he was stupid.

“Uh I guess both.  I dunno.  I know how to dance and I have this great bod.” Kai raised a brow.  “So, you don’t think they hire me to be a dancer?  Probably a bartender or bouncer?”  Not that he minded, but he figured he would make more money stripping.

  “oh well i was assuming you wouldn’t want one given you are asking so many questions.” she teased a little, using the arm rest she propped her chin into her palm flashing a rather playful smile in his way. “would you like a dance kai?” questioning though again she assumed he’d be declining the offer as the conversation seemed much more business centered. “you’re a sweet guy but not everyone thinks like that, in fact some view this more as a slave to service rather than a service provider.” dramatically her fingers drummed on her chin, a slow glance over kai as he spoke. 

   “well should we ask the dj to put a song on for you and we could do a practice round? i know people love watching the girls get excited for a good show but honestly you’re hot kai, they’ll hire you regardless of what you’re applying for.”

“Thank you, very kind of you to offer.  However, I think I can handle myself.”  It was a nice gesture although alarming to think she associated with these tough guys that could potentially be violent.  Not that it mattered, he was a vampire which meant he was the perfect predator if he needed to defend himself.  A stunned expression formed when she mentioned Stoker’s, the vampire was not exactly sure it was the proper place for a young lady such as herself.  “Well, I am capable of indulging once in a while when it comes to wine and human food,” he assured her.

Still, it appeared she wanted to go.  “I do not know, I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable there.”  Beau also did not want his descendant to know that he was a frequent customer who had two donors he was very fond of.  Although it was 2022, Beau still acted as if he were in 1862 when it was practically a crime to be with another man so he remained in the shadows when it came to his attractions.

  “yeah -- yeah of course, and no worries. i find it’s better to offer than not at all, you know so many people now a days talk about how they can’t read minds and i tend to spill my thoughts for them.” of course it wasn’t the best of traits, it often scared away people she might want to be friends with or more. no one liked someone who chatted that much.  a lesson her parents taught her for mannerisms, not that it helped her in anyway. “that doesn’t seem very fair to me honestly, if you’re not actually enjoying it what’s the point?” juno responded, offering a reassuring smile. at least for him it’d be better, juno may get to see the club for the first time which was exciting but fae didn’t exactly hang around the area for a reason.

  “well you’re with me right? i should be fine then.”
