To me the difference between the Leveilleur twins’ brands of Smartness is that Alphinaud is like a dog that learns Tricks extremely well and with great enthusiasm meanwhile Alisaie is like a border collie who NEEDS a Job or else it’ll start learning how to open doors

By the way I remain firm in my belief that the only reason Alisaie comes across as less of a Rich Kid is that she lets Alphinaud say the Stupid Rich Kid Shit first (this is not hard because he talks VERY much) and then just. Acts like she knew that was Rich Kid Shit all along. I think it took Alisaie a Long While to not be mourning the loss of her huge gorgeous perfect bed but someone made fun of Alphinaud for mentioning the "insufficent conditions for rest" early on so now she can never say a thing about it.

Currently feel insane about a FFXIV detail that feels so specific I don’t think anyone else would have pointed it out— MAJOR ENDWALKER SPOILERS
So if I were to just open this by stating the comparisons between the Totentanz was a sort of preview into the concept of Akasa/Dynamis then it might be new to some people but I wouldn’t have been the first to say it so I sort of want to double down and say that the Dancer class itself has an ability icon foreshadowing the end of Endwalker.
I admit I’m being a little hyperbolic but the little blue, later black bird is literally how Meteion is presented in Ultima Thule and how the core of her feelings feeding off of and fueling the remnants of Ultima Thule is shown. I’d argue it’s pretty thematically fitting that we, the ones who manage (albeit with some help) to grow the pure white elpis flowers and influence Meteion, should in turn be able to use a bright bird of the same kind. What I’m trying to illustrate here is the idea that with Dancer’s connection to dynamis, I think Fan Dance IV’s icon symbolically alludes to this conflict presented in the final act. Considering all the other fan dance icons are green feathers until this random new one added in Endwalker came along, it feels like it has to have some reason.
And the cherry on the top? Fan Dance IV unlocks at level 86. The same level for the quest when you first arrive at Elpis.

obviously there's still act 3 to go through but arcadion is a surprise potential fave among all the raids (a... dark horse if you will) like the style is incredible, pro wrestling is fucking real, each boss gets their own literal theme song. just that scene in act 2 that was like a '''fake''' live camera feed of the brute bomber doing heel shit was fucking peak. thats not even getting into the fight design which was 'preddy good' for act 1 but goes completely off the fucking chain in act 2. dancing green is entirely disco dancing themed??? the brute abominator fight has 3 separate boss arenas??? on NORMAL mode. insane
