Some women will never want children in their life in any meaningful capacity. They don't want to give birth. They don't want to adopt. They don't want to be the fun auntie. They don't want to be a godmother. They don't want to work in a field with children. They will never change a child's diaper and don't believe their lack of childcare skills is a problem that needs fixing, because childcare is not a crucial part of the human experience, with billions of people on the planet. They go about their day while only seeing kids out at the grocery store or at the park, and nothing is missing from their lives.
The refusal to accept this is driving a global right-wing backlash movement.

This is true.
And it's also a major reason why seeing abusers as "pure evil" is counterproductive.
When one parent is actively abusive and the other enables them, the enabler is often being abused also. It could easily be a trauma response. Maybe the enabler feels helpless. Maybe the enabler is afraid that they'll suffer more abuse if they try to stop the child from being abused.
But the child doesn't care and shouldn't have to. Children are raised to see their parents as a team. Children are raised to believe that a child "disrespecting" their parents is worse than a parent abusing their child. Even though the enabler is likely a victim also, the child has every reason to see the enabler as complicit.

by the way, if you're weird about aromantic heterosexual cisgender men, i kill you. if that man wants a purely sexual relationship with a woman and communicates that with her, and she agrees, hell yes. good for them. you have no right to be a bitch about that. that's frankly none of your god damn business. he's not "emotionally abusive" for wanting a specific type of relationship. you're being stupid and weird. and weirdly misogynistic, by assuming that women are inherently these helpless victims that have no agency or autonomy.
you're literally being the "the myth of consensual sex" meme when you talk shit about cishet aro men in purely sexual relationships with women.

Just a reminder that when the right wing go on about freedom of speech, they're talking about their right to spread hate and threaten minorities and women and make us feel unsafe. When they talk about censorship, they mean that they are no longer allowed to say these things without consequences. Their 'freedom of speech' doesn't extend to us. They don't care about censoring us, as long as they get to tell us that we are subhuman or deserve less rights.
Freedom of speech to them means that they get to say abhorrent things about us and we are supposed to sit silently and take it.

pro lifers on here are so fucking funny. “a baby cannot force its way into your womb” rape happens. condoms break. you can forget your birth control. you thought hrt made you infertile and it didnt(t is not birth control, people). mistakes happen. horrible things happen. you can think you want a baby and then later realize that you aren’t ready for the changes pregnancy brings to your body or your life. no matter the reason that baby doesnt have a right to your organs. but dont go acting like no one has ever been made pregnant against their will

the reason it's difficult to argue abortion with anti abortionists is because for the statement "women's right to bodily autonomy is more important than a stranger's life" to make sense to you, you have to already believe that
women are full human beings (even when they're not wives or mothers)
women have zero moral obligation to sacrifice themselves or produce offspring for society
there is no divine purpose to female anatomy and the purpose of a woman's body is entirely determined by her own self.
women have an unconditional right to defend themselves from violence and suffering of any kind
they legit cannot wrap their heads around that

Pregnancy is not "inconvenient"
Missing the bus is inconvenient.
Losing your purse is inconvenient
Pregnancy is intrusive, risky and life-changing and no one should have to justify not wanting to go through it.

i think along with abortion rights which are of course an absolute must for everyone’s bodily autonomy referrals should also be abolished. why do they exist. why do you need a Permission Slip from a Chaperone to go see another doctor. like oh i guess i am just a baby. a shitty little itty bitty baby idiot who doesn’t know what specialist would be helpful for my condition. only the Big Smart Primary Physicians knows that. only tjey would know that i Need to go to a joint doctor if i have problems with my joints. wow who would have thought thank You so much im glad i had to pay you actual money to tell me something i already knew. you’re so Wise and Kind do you want me to perhaps suck you off as well? play with your hole a little bit? get fucking real
