URGENT GLOBAL APPEAL: Life-Threatening Medical Emergency for Kayemba Augustine, Queer Refugee Leader - $2000 Needed IMMEDIATELY!

To the global community, human rights advocates, and all compassionate hearts:

My name is Kayemba Augustine, and I am a Queer Refugee Leader and Representative for hundreds of marginalized LGBTQIA+ refugees in South Sudan. I am writing to you from the hospital in Uganda in a critical, life-threatening emergency.

I am currently passing blood and have severe wounds in my private parts, requiring urgent medical attention. I was admitted to the hospital, but I am being informed that I will NOT be discharged without full payment of my medical bill, which is around $2000 USD.

My life is literally on the line. I am in immense pain and in a dangerous condition, and I cannot leave this hospital until this payment is made. Every moment counts.

I hope you'll let me tell you a little bit about my home🇵🇸, Gaza🍉. It's a place where we're living through some very challenging times💔🥹. We're under attack from bombs, explosives, and warplanes, and we've had to endure many nights of sleeplessness. It's a difficult situation💔, but we're trying to stay positive🖤. This war has really taken a toll on us. It's destroyed our bodies, our lives, and our souls. It has been so sad to see our homes destroyed, our belongings taken from us, and our beautiful places ruined. It has also changed our situation for the worse. We were living a pretty good life, you know? Peaceful, loving, and full of life. But then, we found ourselves in a really tough spot. Hunger, fear, and terror have become our new normal. My kids and I, along with my extended family, are struggling to make ends meet. We don't have the basic necessities of life, and our living situation is pretty rough. We're in these old, falling-apart tents. It's so hard to know what to do when winter comes. We'll be soaked in the rain and wind, and I'll be at a loss as to how to keep my family safe, from the bombing and from the winter.🥹

In a corner of Gaza, my family and I are drowning in destruction, with the echoes of suffering surrounding us. I sat beside my modest tent, hastily erected after losing my home in the latest bombing. The faces of my family tell stories of patience and resilience, with lines of time etched upon them, as if they were records of unforgettable events. 🇵🇸⏳🍉

I once lived in a small home, filled with the laughter and voices of my children. Today, I have become a witness to the agony of displacement. The bombing forced me to flee with my children after a shell struck our home, leaving behind years of memories and simple belongings I never imagined would become unreachable. 🏚️💨

Every morning, I leave my tent and go to work, using a clay oven to provide food for my children. Meanwhile, my youngest son heads to the charity kitchens that offer aid, waiting for long hours under Gaza’s scorching sun. Despite the exhaustion that weighs down his frail body, he carries the food mixed with his tears and returns with a fake smile, hiding behind it the burdens of his struggles. 🍞🥀

At night, when everyone else is asleep, I remain seated at the entrance of my tent, gazing at the dark sky, reminiscing about days gone by… about my home that was once filled with warmth. Yet, I still find remnants of hope in my heart—a hope that one day peace will return, and my children and I will live in a new home, filled with joy. 🌙🏡✨

In moments of solitude, I find peace in prayer and supplication. I plead to God to protect Gaza and its people, to wipe away the dust of sorrow from our hearts. I always repeat🇵🇸🍉🌿

hi everyone!! id like to bring your attention to this group of queer refugees located in a camp in Gorom, South Sudan.

i came in contact with Goret, one of the lesbians from the camp, and she told me about how terrible their situation at the moment is.

if short, they lack funds for meals, poor medication/shelter conditions/beddings.

they also face physical threats due to homophobia and some of the members already have been severely injured because of the attacks.

their campaign is getting barely any traction, so id love if you guys could share, donate, and talk about it. lets help Goret and her fellow camp members to raise funds for survival! even small donations of $5 will mean a lot!

Great, comprehensive article by Georgy Yadvidchuk on Dybowski, Renata and Yuriy's situation with special emphasis on the court proceedings. Reading this I'd ask you to pay attention to the lawyers' lies, their tactics of manipulation and distraction, inclusively by appealing to racism and Russian nationalism, as well as insulting Renata’s emotional state. Fortunately this doesn't convince the judge in any of their meetings but they remain with the problem of looking at the situation as if Renata and Dybowski are equal parties, when Dybowski is an abuser and Renata a victim and so any kind of "compromise" will risk her and Yuriy's safety

Coupled with his defamation lawsuit against Renata, Dybowski has also sued her father claiming he initiated the fight and injured him in December and the police has now picked up his case.

Hello to those who carry us in their hearts and their humanitarian actions. I know that you have felt bored towards us, but we are also dying every second from the oppression and woes of the merciless war. The war has lasted for almost a year and a half. Imagine, as a human being, living under all this pressure and suffering, food, drink, displacement, and fear, and you do not have anything in your hands. Please, I am a mother with two children. I am not important. What is important is my children. You are needed. You can help me with anything. Please, I speak to you with your conscience and humanity. Everything has become more expensive than ever before, and we can barely get it because of the severe siege on us. My children have lost a lot of weight due to the lack of nutrition, and on top of all this, they have been deprived of their childhood. We no longer have a life. We could die at any time. At least your help can enable them to do what they need and to buy them what they want before anything bad happens. Do not be lenient. I know that you are fed up and bored, but at least you can help me and be a support to me and my children.

Bombs are still falling on Gaza, and the situation only worsens. Dina and her children have been living in these conditions for over a year. She deserves better, her children deserve better. Please help my friend, I don't want to see her family continue to suffer. It breaks my heart hearing the fear and danger they live in every day, and I only hear a fraction of what is their reality.

This is a community of LGBTQ+ refugees who are suffering. Recently, some of our members have been jailed for fighting back against people stealing their shelters at night, and they were tortured in lock up. Cases involving refugees, especially LGBTQ+ people, are often ignored or met with violence.

They are deep in the desert surviving on tea leaves and hot water, porridge for the kids, breastfeeding mothers and those who are HIV positive.

Donations will go towards stockpiling food, paying for hospital bills, negotiating with officers and setting up shelters.
