Salma and Maida celebrated their son's 1st birthday and I feel honored to cover their celebration. Asharib, Salman and Maida's boy. His parents were celebrating his 1st birthday and he was busy running around the hall like he will never get tired. The moment his parents let him out of his stroller, he ran without a care in the world. He ran like the wind. It was hard for me to get a hold of him. I had his family grab him so I could get a picture of him.

This was the time when I was flying back to Pakistan from Canada. I had no idea where we were at this point on the plane but I was a bit excited going back home. After spending a bit over 2 years in Canada studying, working and without making any trips to Pakistan, I was at this point that I needed a break from all the stress and see what my people are up to. To be honest, It was fun. (at Canada)

The world is a playbook. We can make paths parallel to those of the ones who inspire us; two different roads, leading to the same path. When we walk, our footsteps overlap the footsteps of the great conquerors, saints and leaders. We walk on their footsteps, we live to remember their tales and pledge to protect their honour. If we live a life like they did, we can carve trails of our legacy even on the mountains- just like they did. (at G.P.O Murree)

I was wandering around the roads of Murree when I saw couple of kids running by, shouting and laughing, not caring what people would think of them. When they saw me taking pictures with a camera, they surrounded me in a way like they know me for a very long time. Their clothes told me how hard life had been to them. They were laughing as I never did, I just couldn't apprehend how are they doing this. I can still hear their unconditional laugh in my head! (at Murree Mall Road)

The flights on commercial planes can be daunting. Often we are overwhelmed by the sizable risks that we take while boarding these machines. Our safety depends on the work of the technician's, skill of the pilot, the weather, countless other factors, and ultimately on luck. Nevertheless, we rarely think about these risks and focus on the joys of reaching our destination. Similarly in life, there is no need to worry. Take risks, take off, and touchdown on your dreams. The sea! Deep, dark and mysterious. Many that have gone into it, never returned. The horror of the sight was such, that not even the reflection of the sky escaped it. The people on the shore was fooled by the calmness of the waves. Little did they know, that danger awaited beneath the sheet of deceit…. Hovering above, we saw people play in the pool of their death. Smiling. Playing. Enjoying… all for the last time.

Life is spewed with darkness. We have the option of either turning off the lights or opening up the windows. Even in the dark night, we can seek guidance, find hope and face the bright side. Leave the darkness behind you and focus on what lights you up. There is nothing to see in the darkness, except for the light and what it lights. (at Waterloo, Ontario)

What if the single propeller failed? As I boarded the plane this question echoed through my mind. I had made my decision and this was going to be one of the many choices that defined me. The view from the 2-seater was spectacular. After landing, I was glad that I took the flight. We mustn’t allow our fears to hold us back, because life begins beyond fear.

We had the pleasure to cover some salsa dance lessons last week. The experience was phenomenal. Unlike sports, it’s not competitive. Couples compliment each other to learn, improve and be organic. It is however evident on the floor as to how experienced each person is. As an observer it can be impossible to tell what is not being done right- dancing only stops when the DJ makes it stop! These two were probably the best couple that we saw throughout the nights on the dance floor. (at Waterloo, Ontario)

Life hits us and it hits us hard sometimes. In midst of the urban jungle one wanders desperately to recollect in solitude; to fill in the cracks that cause disconnect; to come back stronger. As the busy Toronto life zooms past, a board- big and bold lights up the dark night to remind us of the joy that that we wander in search of. It reminds us that true pleasure lies in taking joy from that choices that define us. Joy, is indeed created in the defiance of defeat! In the pursuit to come back better and stronger! Every key pressed, expressed a feeling. Told a untold story, that only he could understand. With such passion, and elegance, he made those notes into a symphony. The melody of that symphony embedded a place within our heart and mind. The symphony set him free, and the melody made everyone who heard it find a lost piece of themselves. It told everyone their own story. The power of music, so mysterious, yet so magical. @uzair.zafar15 (at University of Waterloo)

A new adventure awaits you in every book. Once you open the book, your imagination takes over. Where will you go? What will you see? What will you feel? The mystery intensifies, as you turn the pages. It creates a new world for you, and yourself only, because no one can replicate what they have not seen. As one adventure finishes, another adventure waits in this jungle of books. @doctor.nagi (at Toronto Public Library)

What is time? The thought of a moment gone by; the mystery of the moment that is yet to arrive. The thought of either the future or the past; the life of the moment at hand; the joy of life, the despair of death. You ask me what is time? I say a moment spend in your thought! Confidence is the essence of a great photo! Matthew, our client, was super fun to work with! His personality hypnotic, talk charismatic and perspective mature. We had to focus really hard on the photography. At the end of the shoot, he gave us an epic handstand which was great to capture! Our team connected really well and had a meal together once the shoot was completed. We wish him good luck working at his new full-time job. (at University of Waterloo)
