ok, but au where snow ends up doing away with the teaching (given is was a cursebound career that she didn't choose for herself) and instead opens up a cute little bakery in storybrooke where she can sell all of her pastries she's been perfecting over the years, cursed and enchanted forest timeline wise.

Snow did not truly expect for Arthur to offer help. Knowing how strongly Lyrialadria’s use in magic was, she expected him to turn her away. Yet here he was, offering her help and Snow felt truly honored by his gesture. “Thank you, Sire.” She tilted her head toward him in the polite bow a fellow royal would do to another. Some fully bowed, but she knew that would not be necessary here.

“I plan to do whatever I can on my end to win my kingdom back. There are … people waiting in the throws to offer their hands for help as well. Whatever you can offer is much appreciated and we will owe you. I do not expect us to rush into this fight straight away, however. My stepmother is ruthless and believes the kingdom is rightfully hers. She was married into it, thanks to the good grace of my father who took her in. And she stabbed him in the back." At this she paused, closing her eyes a moment before looking over at him again. "She will not hurt the people unless she has reason to do so and I fear jumping into this will cause her to do something truly awful.”

Sighing, Snow took a seat, feeling the toll of everything that had occurred over the past couple of days. If not for the help of the dwarves, who had gotten her out of Lyrialadria in the first place, she feared she’d be locked up in a cell or worse.

ARTHUR KNEW SOME OF THE NORTHERN KINGDOMS. Enough to keep his distance from the Evil Queen who reminded him of his sister when he had gone against her. His threat to the land was done and over with. Albion was in peace. When the Northern Kingdom had fallen to the Queen so quickly, he had Merlin throw up a magical boundary she could not pass. They were safe from her for now or so he thought.

He didn't know the threat would come knocking at his door when a woman stating she was the princess came into his courtroom. Sitting on his throne, he tapped his fingers on the side. Pendragon was weary because this could mean war for his land. Engrained in him, however, was the way of the knights and the code he lived by. It was not his nature to turn away someone in need. He wanted to be just and fair. Arthur was known for it.

He did not motion for his court to leave. It was better this way. When it came to the Evil Queen, he had said few things regarding her. This would give him the opportunity. "I've heard of what happened to your kingdom, princess and for that, I am truly sorry. Whatever we can do to aid you and your people, Camelot will answer. For now, you are granted to stay here for as long as you need. I or Camelot's people will stand for the injustice that has been done upon you or your land."

Snow grinned, pleased that Alena wanted to help bake. Not everyone was thrilled at the idea of baking, there was an exact science to it, after all. Yet it was fun once one got the hang of it. She pointed to where the mixing bowls were, which so happened to be nearest to Alena at the moment. “Excellent! The more hands with baking, the better, honestly. While I finish up this batch, you’re welcome to get the next started. Now, it’s often the crimping that’s more tricky. There’s so much art involved in baking that most don’t think of it that way, you know?”

"Oh no, I love apples. Though I prefer the sweeter ones, "As if her love for sweets wasn’t already obvious, Alena had yet to meet a dessert she didn’t enjoy—except perhaps pecan pie, but that was the nuts' fault, really. The same went for fruit. So, it was no surprise to anyone who knew her that she had a passion for baking. Even more so when she could spend time with a friend. "Where do you keep your mixing bowls? I'll help get everything out."
