Update: Im really fucking sick out of nowhere and idk if i literally. can physically do jack shit in general? i cant draw. but most importantly i can barely get out of bed and do shit

i have an injury that may be infected and i am awake now because i tried to go to sleep and i literally couldnt fucking breath every breath i take is manual rn and hurts a lot and i feel sick as fuck with each one too. i have no idea whats happening but basically im extremely sick <- cant do shit till properly healed

Kate The Chaser! (read below to see notes about the design)

Kate is kinda a love/hate character for me because while they are super cool theyve always felt like a stereotypical creepypasta oc so I wanted to give them genuinely unique characteristics while still staying true to the canon design

my general ‘idea’ is that Kate had an unusual reaction to the slender sickness; instead of getting mindfucked like most people the sickness had a physical effect, causing their body to slowly turn into a living corpse as their fingers, eyes, and mouth started going black and even parts of their body seemed to have “cracks”; vein-like protrusions that are all black, generally coming from sensitive areas like their eyes. they’ve put on a mask to hide it but for some reason the mask always goes black and cracks; just like their face. theyve tried to replace their mask multiple times but over time they all just slowly break from the cracks so theyre in a constant loop of replacing and breaking their masks

the effects also infect their clothes in general but only around areas where the sickness has started taking an outward form (the sickness is the most concentrated around their face which is why the effects are seen the most their but it also has spread to their fingertips and, causing the ends of their hoodie sleeves to decay a bit)

while Kate suffers from these physical issues, their mental state is perfectly intact... and by intact i mean the slender sickness has no effect on their mind anymore but theyre still pretty mentally fucked by being stuck in the forest all this time.

ig you could say this is a Slender: The Arrival AU? not really sure abt the logistics i just really wanted to improve Kate’s lore and character design (also I wouldve kept the cracked mouth piece thing but it looked soooo bad in my cartoony style of mouths so i opted for Jim Carrey’s The Mask logic in that, the masks as they break down, stick to Kate’s face almost as if it melted onto it. they can be taken off and it feels a lot like if you removed a whole slab of glue off your face.)

and before anyone asks I hc Kate as nonbinary and using they/them because, in all honesty creepypasta is such a Only Boy/Girl world, i needed any kind of excuse to draw a character that wasnt either and was just niche enough that i could get away with it w/o people getting mad about it
