it's interesting because I do actually know what this is about:
Ena lied to MafuMom and told her that she was going to use Mafuyu as a model so that Mafuyu could stay over at the Shinonome house and not return home. Ena had seen Mafuyu sitting on a bench and basically determined it wasn't safe for her to go home to her mother. It was shown as a demonstration of the care Ena has for Mafuyu, because she was willing to bring up and use her dad to get Mafuyu out of the house, and Ena hates bringing up her dad. So Akito would have gotten the lie, and Mizuki would've gotten the truth.
However.
Why Mizuki had to say this in the most suspicious and gay way possible.....
The world may never know.
can we talk about this. what do you mean by that girl

that gap in understanding, that difference in mizuki and rui’s material conditions, is also what’s up with the difference between mizuki’s “you’ll be fine, rui. you can go to the other side” in cheer squad and rui’s “i’m hoping that your heart will be protected” in mizu5. rui fundamentally can’t say that she’ll be fine. it would be ridiculously irresponsible and betray a truly unbelievable naivety. she wasn’t. and the worst case scenario for her “saying the thing she wants to say but is scared to” is literally lethal. whereas in the reverse, the worst case for rui “saying the thing he wants to say but is scared to” is getting rejected, getting hurt, and retreating back to his in-group that accepts him as he is unconditionally. mizuki does not have that security. so rui can only say what amounts to “wow that sucks. good luck” with the utmost sincerity. all he’s really got to offer her are nice words, and his friendship, which does mean something, but if it could save her it already would’ve.
#character analysis#help pls i'm dead#i love them so much#they are each other's safe space#akiyama mizuki#kamishiro rui

Fun!! MV analysis

I love this MV so much but this is just a really brief analysis, there's actually a lot more to be said.

First, we see Shizuku portrayed as a giant. She's naturally clumsy but always needs to hide her true personality in order to maintain her "perfect idol" persona created by her managers. The helicopters around her represent the people always watching her every move.

Airi is trapped in a diamond-like structure that reflects the mask she wears as Happy Everyday. The reflections of herself are distorted simple and unrendered—she's not her complete self when viewed only as her variety show persona Happy Everyday and not Momoi Airi the idol.

Haruka's legs and arms are trapped by vines, referencing the main story when she was unable to move on stage. The vines are made out of words—the catchphrase she used while in ASRUN. She felt that she was unable to give others hope as an idol and this thought held her back from performing.

Minori uses the key she's holding to break the locks on their chests. While the three of them are now wearing their costumes which I believe are from the 'an angel spreading her wings' gacha, representing their renewed desire to become idols, Minori is still wearing her t-shirt. She's perfectly content with the fact that she managed to help Haruka, Airi and Shizuku become idols again, and never expected them to form an idol group with her.

Then, the stairs under Minori crack and she falls. Airi, due to her more reckless nature, is the first to jump to save Minori. Despite her overly-cautious nature, Haruka also makes the jump without much hesitation. They are united by the desire to help Minori just like she saved them, because Minori is an irreplaceable member of their group. They can't become idols without Minori, and put effort into training her.

When they join hands, Minori changes into her costume and sprouts wings, referencing the "for your sake" card.
