Do any of the fairies like to entertain other creatures? I was just thinking, as a kid I would never go inside again if I knew these fairies existed. I also feel like Ink or Killer would mess around too much, and get caught with the big folk.
It’s more so that they enjoy entertaining themselves by messing around with other creatures, either playfully, or somewhat rudely, but fairies have a weak spot for the young of any species, and you’d have a better chance at seeing one and even play with one if you’re a young child.
Both Ink and Killer have found themselves in dangerous situations one too many times, but luckily, their cunning often gets them out of trouble. Ink is powerful and can use magic to affect the big folk’s minds to his advantage when things get too serious, and Killer is not afraid to get messy if he finds himself in a pickle. He has two sharp blades for a reason, might as well use them.

In the past the plans with Error being in a relationship was kinda up in the air, I think Blue or Fresh were mentioned? (I don't remember) what happened exactly to choose the sneaky/free spirit/blood hungry Ink as Error's companion?
That is quite simple, dearest anon, because Ink and Error’s relationship would be open and not restricted to just them. It is what works best when it comes to Ink because he is indeed such a free spirit and it is just not in his nature to settle down in one place for too long, but he wouldn’t wish for Error to feel abandoned and neglected, so he was the one to propose an open relationship, one where Error can find someone else he might love and cherish, too. Ink has a way of growing fond of anyone, so someone good enough for Error will surely gain his favour as well.
That someone might just be – and I quote from Error – an ‘annoying and persistent parasitic fairy who speaks in riddles and tongues and won’t leave me the fuck alone’. Fresh is a jester through and through, and although none knows from whence he came, it is clear that it is somewhere on the mainland, so he’s seen and experienced much and more. The island was just a new place for him to see, a new place to find another body and a new place where he would inevitably grow fond of a prickly ice queen who hates his riddles and throws insults at him.
Fresh: “Hehehe, mine bones once stolen tickles and pricks in pain and pleasure. What a proud and bewitching fairy thy queen of ice is.”
Ink: “Haha! I like your funny words!”
Error does not yet realise the doom he’s about to experience once Ink and Fresh become just as close to each other as they are with him, and their japes and ridiculous jests will drive him up the wall! But… the heart grows fonder.

Can I give horror and dust offerings pls idc if I get murdered I’ll be thankful to be killed by them I wanna become friends with the pretty FAIRIES PLS 😭😭
Dangerous it may be, but shall you as a child of the big folk prove your worth with patience and respect, then any fairy could potentially become your friend. Some may be more prickly than others (cough, Error, cough), but given time they will come to cherish you as their weird human friend. The pretty fairies might even grow so bold as to settle and do with you as they please; once comfortable. Suddenly Dust is in your hair, he’s always been fascinated by it and now finally has a chance to fully explore it, and Horror is peeking into your pockets and keeps asking questions about your belongings and tools, he might even ask why the big folk dig holes in the ground to get water more often than just getting it from lakes and rivers.
It isn’t recommended, as you may never know what the fairy in question can do, but it isn’t impossible to become friends with them. You have a better chance at coming out on top if it is any other fairy than the spring fairies, at least.

Error and Ink, as a couple, make my head and heart feel all fuzzy. What do you think an Errorink relationship could look like in this universe?
It can be a bit messy. Error is lonely and is quite controlling when it comes to his lovers needing to be close whenever he wants them to, and Ink is a free spirit by nature and would become restless and annoyed by being pinned down to one place. Still, it will work, in a way, as long as both of them become more understanding of each other’s needs.
“Ruru,” Ink purred softly, and nuzzled Error’s cheek. “I missed you.”
“Tsk, why be away for so long if you’re just going to miss me? I bet you forgot about me most of the time anyway.”
“Well, yeah, but whenever I remembered you I realised that I missed you,” Ink said, and embraced the other fairy fully once he noticed that he wasn’t being pushed away. “But I’m here now. Do you want to cuddle?”
“In what way?”
“Silly, in the lazy way, the way you like it.”
“…”
“Pleeease?”
Error huffed but couldn’t stop the soft blush that bloomed across his cheeks. “Fine, but put on one of my sweaters. Your bones and ecto are chilled.”
Ink chuckled but kissed his cheek. “Took a while to fly up here, you know, and you always have it so cold here.”
“Keeps annoying bastards away.”
“Like me?”
“Like you on your crazy days.”
Ink laughed. “I wouldn’t do anything that’d make you uncomfortable, Ruru, you know that, right?”
Error didn’t respond but lightly pushed Ink away, or, in the direction of the furs he’d laid out for them both. He wanted to watch the stars tonight, and he’d be damned if Ink started to shiver because of the cold again.
“Error,” Ink called, bringing Error out of his thoughts.
“Wh—” He jumped at suddenly seeing Ink so close, but the soft bonk of their foreheads meeting quickly brought him back to reality, and he soon took notice of the pretty array of colours passing over Ink’s cheeks. He had his sockets closed, and he smiled serenely.
“I really missed you, Error. It feels good to be with you again.”
“…” Error swallowed thickly, but he leaned into the touch and closed his own sockets, savouring the moment for as long as it lasted. “I missed you, too, Ink.”

Is it possible to ask for some cross x error?
“Too sloppy,” Error said, only half paying attention as he sat upon the mountain’s edge, legs dangling as his strings gently wafted in the wind.
Cross, sweating and heaving for breath, landed on an icy outcrop not too far away. His wings were shaking from slight exhaustion and his arms felt stiff from overuse, yet he still refused to call it quits. He knew there was no winning this, though. Error might, in the present day, be rather lazy and solitary within his mountaintop nest, but his mastery of fight clearly hadn’t dwindled in the slightest. It only made it all the clearer why knight/warrior fairies were more commonly winter fairies than any other season fairies out there; born from both the image of their firstborn, as well as his hopes and dreams.
“Just… need to catch my breath,” Cross said, resting on one knee as the cold wind nipped at whatever exposed bone they could.
Error watched him, silent at first, but a wave of his hand was all warning Cross got before shimmering blue strings suddenly enveloped him, catching him off guard as they pulled him away from the outcrop and towards Error instead.
“It’s enough for today. You can barely fly anymore,” Error said, voice monotone, though the strings sent waves of heat through them, soothing the fairy in their grasp. Said fairy only struggled a little bit.
“No, I can still spar. I just need to rest for a moment,” Cross objected, but Error would have none of it as he took to wing and began his flight towards his mountain home; Cross still in his strings.
“No, you’re going to exhaust yourself.”
“But—”
“No.”
“…” Grumbling silently, Cross allowed himself to relax in the hold of the strings and closed his eyes as the journey through the Mountain Halls and up Error’s tunnel quickly led to a comfortable, bright, and warm nest. He would have flushed with embarrassment with how quickly the strings shed his armour and clothing, but the tub of warm water that quickly surrounded him from toe to neck took away any shyness he might have felt, and he near fell asleep right then.
“… You can’t beat me, idiot,” Error’s voice cut in as he watched his knight, his mate, rest in the warm water. “You’re nearly as stubborn as me, but you’ll never be as strong.”
“I know…”
Error frowned, and walked up to flick Cross’ forehead. Cross in turn made a cute sound of surprise.
“You’re my strongest knight, you know. My strongest winter fairy…” Error began, flushing a little with soft specks of yellow and blue over his cheeks. “And you keep getting stronger. I… am impressed by it.”
Cross couldn’t help but also blush, and he looked down into the water to fiddle with his hands. His wings mostly hung dry over the edge of the tub, but the sensation of fingers trailing over them made him jump in sudden surprise. He looked over at Error and noticed him seeming far away, his fingers touching and stroking soft fuzz.
“None of my fairies will ever be as strong as me, but I’m…” Error frowned, embarrassed by the words he wanted to say, “I’m… happy to see that you’re capable of protecting yourself. It… it puts me at ease to know you won’t go down easily.”
Cross reached out from the water, and feeling brave, he touched Error’s cheek, allowing his thumb to trace over those pretty yellow and blue specks.
“My queen, I will always fight to stay alive and well, if that is what you want to hear. But I… I will admit that my requests to spar with you have been selfish, too,” he said and smiled a little as he took Error’s hand, and kissed his knuckles; one after another. “When I spar with you, I get to see firsthand how you fight, and how passionate and beautiful you are in the heat of a battle. It is something few fairies will ever get to see, and I’m glad to be one of them, to admire you so closely.”
The specks on Error’s cheeks turned into an aurora of colours as he took a sharp breath, and he suddenly dunked the knight’s head beneath the water, sputtering incomprehensible sentences before releasing him as he stepped away to collect himself.
“D- don’t say embarrassing things like that, you—you…” You hopeless, lovable idiot, he thought and failed to see the soft smile on Cross’ face as he plunged into his furs and blankets to hide for a moment, at least until Cross finished his bath and came to join him.

Dust is a passionate kisser. Horror might be a beast of a fairy, but he’s left breathless and flushed after sharing a kiss with Dust, who always must hold him so close; a hand at the back of his neck to keep him still. A kiss is something sacred to Dust, and it’s not something to be done quickly, so he wants it to last for as long as possible.
You can always tell if Dust and Horror have shared a kiss just recently. Horror will be flushed in a pretty red colour, and Dust will seem oddly smug with the tiniest hint of a smile on his face.

“I know I’ve never been the most present of fathers, always heading out to perform my duties, and always forgetting that I had my own close knit family at the heart of Nightmare’s nest. But... You know I’ve always loved you, right? You’re my faerling, Lumin. My little faerling... S—so won’t you open your eyes?”
Softly, the stardust began to trickle between Ink’s fingers, and he cluthed the fragile body of Lumin closer to himself, as if he could stop it from vanishing in his arms.
“If not for me, then for Nightmare. Lumin, sweet light, he will not survive this loss. P—please, Lumin, don’t go...”
His sockets stung and the sight of Lumin’s serene face grew blurred, yet still it glittered as bone slowly turned to the most beautiful stardust Ink had even laid eyes upon, and he mourned and hated it, because it took away his Lumin; his faerling.
“Lumin...?”
The night was silent.

An idea came to mind for Geno and Reaper all of a sudden, I remember it was mentioned you weren't sure who will pursue the other I wanted to add something on that. It is common to see Reaper being the one to pursue Geno so what if it is the opposite? Going story wise I would suspect Reaper not being good with communicating with others since he is mostly alone, and it was mentioned that Geno stayed with the other fairies in Error's mountain halls meaning he would be better with interacting with others than Reaper. Going back to the point Reaper is pretty secluded and warry of others coming around him in fear he would hurt them, maybe try and chase them away? Idk. He could be known as the Death fairy to many others due to his suitors dying around him mysteriously, Geno hearing this wants to know more and see this "death fairy" for himself, this curiosity was brought out because of his time with the Big Folk then... well I don't know T^T That is all I got unfortunately Just some stuff I wanted to share as a fellow enjoyer of AfterDeath lol
Geno is a fairy who enjoys his moments of solitude, though he’ll never want for them too long. Seeing the way Reaper is mostly avoided, left to crawl along the cavern walls to hide away in his nest (often left dimly lit), makes Geno feel a sort of pity for him, and so he ignores what every other fairy says, and goes to inspect what this strange fairy is all about.
Reaper is… awkward, to say the least. He is older than Geno but he’s been alone for so long (his parents were quite old when they had him, so they passed by natural causes some time ago) that he’s not the best at socialising. He’s not sure of what to say when Geno suddenly shows up to say hi, and Reaper feels flustered since he thinks Geno is cute, and thus his brain fries itself in its attempt to act suave. His poor flirting attempts are… charming, in a way, and they make Geno snort and smile, despite himself.
In the end, once both of them become fully comfortable with each other’s presence and company, their roles will eventually reverse somewhat. Reaper calms down and lets himself act naturally, and unbeknownst to him, his openness about his attraction to Geno and his way of just saying what he feels makes said other winter fairy the flushed one of the two. Geno doesn’t lack flirting skills, far from it, but once he sees Reaper in a new light, as this tall, dark fairy with unnatural wings and an aura he cannot describe… Well, his chest tickles, and he might just have to act quickly to make Reaper his mate. In due time some other fairy will notice how handsome Reaper truly is, hybrid or not, and they’ll try and win his heart. No, no, Geno won’t let that happen.
Not yet mates and Geno is already feeling jealous of the “potential” that another fairy will try to take Reaper away… It makes the latter feel giddy on the inside.
Note: Fairy Reaper is a mixture of the goofy self we all know and love, but he’s also somewhat similar to what we think of when imagining the Grim Reaper. Sometimes stoic, speaking in a tone that sounds unnatural and strange, aura that makes one's spine tickle, tall, dark, and imposing; these fairies ought to put their uncertainty for hybrids aside and instead see them for how ethereal they can be. Luckily for Geno, most will not see Reaper for how dashingly handsome he can be, so he’s safe to woo him in peace, which is good because he prefers to take his time.

I am going to make a post that will be some simple guidelines for the canon story in Fairyverse. Just a easy, point by point, idea to what is canon, plus a general timeline. I will make sure to link it in my pinned post once I've made it.

No pressure to answer if you don’t want, I’m only asking because my autistic self is really bad at implications T,T
Is fairyverse a Dreammare au? I only found this blog yesterday sorry
(and I mean no disrespect btw I just can’t tell LOL)
-🔆
No need to worry, it’s always okay to ask if you’re confused or curious. Fairyverse is a universe where every undertale related (that includes the different AU’s, dreamtale, underfell, dusttale, etc.) character is a fairy of some kind. Everyone can make their favourite UTMV character a fairy here, basically.
I am mainly writing about the ones I like the most, such as Nightmare, Cross, Dust, Dream, Horror, etc. and Lunnar makes fairy designs for them so that we can see how lovely they are as fairies.
There is a canon story for every fairy, but I like to indulge in different ideas, too, so everyone is free to ask about different scenarios that aren’t going to take place in the canon story, such as “What would this fairy and this fairy be like together”.
I’m not really the best at explaining, but this AU was created for the sole purpose of me being in love with the idea of my favourite utmv characters being fairies, and I wanted everyone else to have fun with it, too. It’s meant to be a cosy place with wonderful fantasy aspects, whimsical adventures, dangerous travels, and just all on good fun.
I hope I managed to shed some light on what this universe is all about, but my pinned post should explain some things, and then there are all the other Asks and Posts you can read here, too. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, then you are free to ask me!

I know what I'm gonna ask is horrible, but how Cross is gonna react if he sees a troll close to Killer who didn't make attention to his environment °^°
“How are you so blind?! It was right there!”
“It came out of the fucking ground, how was I supposed to notice it?!” Killer shouted back, annoyed despite the slight tremble he still felt in his body. He’d been too near death, but Cross was just too busy yelling and being angry at him to notice that.
“You have to pay attention!”
“Fuck off, Crossy, I was paying plenty—”
“No! No, you were not!” Cross continued to yell, his voice trembling more and more by the second as his vision grew cloudier and cloudier. Killer noticed all too quickly, and his frown began to fade.
“Cross—”
“You nearly died! It could have e—eaten you an—and I was almost too slow! I would have lost you, Killer! Why the fuck won’t you—” a sob cut him off and he frowned deeply as he turned away, furiously wiping at his face as he took a few steps away. “I—I would have—” another sob and he couldn’t keep it back anymore. Falling to his knees, he cried pitifully as waves of sobs and whimpers tormented him to the extent that at first, he didn’t notice the arms that so tightly moved to hold around him.
“I’m sorry. I… I was careless,” Killer admitted, feeling tears sting the edges of his sockets as he buried his face into Cross’ neck. “I’m sorry…”
Cross took no care of his state and brought his own arms around Killer, pulling him closer, nearly crushing him in the process. “I don’t— don’t want to lose you, Killer,” he softly cried, and nuzzled his face against Killer’s shoulder, feeling the small tremble coming from him. He softened his hold, but Killer tightened it again.
Saying nothing, Killer shed his own tears as the silence of the forest fell over them. The troll might be dead, his head cut in half by Cross’ blade, but the animals were not yet ready to ignore the possibility of more danger lurking around.
They sat like that, for a while, holding each other and crying their tension and fear out, until Cross leaned back and caught Killer by surprise, kissing him upon the lips yet as their cheeks were still wet with tears. It was returned in earnest.
“Promise me you’ll be more aware of your surroundings. I just… the thought of you—” Cross began, but Killer cut him off with another kiss, this one almost bruising with the forceful affection behind it.
“My knight in shining armour,” Killer said, smiling softly despite the careful humour in his tone. “I’ll try to be more careful in the future, Crossy. Do you want me to whack every rock and boulder I fly over from now on?”
Cross couldn’t help but laugh. The sound was heavenly to Killer’s ears.

wahh the way you wrote tragic love between nightlight n dream is so absolutely wonderful<333
i'm not rlly the same anon but u mentioned we could ask dream, nightlight and nightmare?
the angst was very wonderful/gen but now i'm kind of curious how a love between the 3 would go, that and i'm horridly fond of the whole 'tender' and 'embracing each other in their entirety' type love lmao u mentioned that dream would believe nightmare as nightmare is a very good liar, but would nightlight have any worries or such? i'm not sure as their both the two halfs of autumn i assume they'd understand/know each other on an emotional level of sorts hsjshjs, lovely work as always<33
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆
A good liar Nightmare may be, but that is not so when it comes to Nightlight. His other half can, to some extent, feel whatever emotions Nightmare might be experiencing, and the sorrow within him is heartbreaking, and he cannot just leave him like that. So, a love between the three of them will go like this:
Tense, at first, but Nightmare is a stubborn old mule at times, and as infuriating as it can be, both Dream and Nightlight must be patient. It will be rewarded greatly. Once Nightmare warms up to the idea that he, too, can be a part of this, then he will shower both Dream and Nightlight with love as soft and gentle as the light of the moon itself.
Nightmare isn’t one to express public displays of affection that often, but he will do nothing to stop Dream or Nightlight from doing so. Dream is notorious for being touchy towards those he holds dear, and will openly nuzzle and purr into Nightmare’s side, whether the latter is discussing something with his autumn fairies or not. If he managed to pull Nightlight away from his secret nook within the underground nest, then he, too, would be at Nightmare’s side, though he would stand close instead of clinging onto his other half.
Kisses, declarations of love, arrays of flowers, pretty bugs, silks and satins, tapestries that show wonderment of love; Nightmare will spare no expense to shower his lovers in lavish gifts, but it is the moments they share in near silence that are the most precious to them all. Quiet nights in their private nest, cuddled up in warmth and comfort, bare bone and ecto touching as they speak in soft tones about their goings of the day, fingers trailing comforting patterns to soothe and relax.
With this newfound intimacy comes new levels of trust, and eventually Nightlight will be permitted to go outside with Dream so he may see his valley with his own eyes, instead of just admiring the tapestries Nightmare made for him to look upon. Together they will travel to see the sunlit valley, to feel the warm wind, to plunge into pools of glittering blue water, and to play and chase upon the dancing grass before laying down to rest.
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆
“My night,” Dream said, kissing Nightmare’s lips, “and my light,” he added, and turned to do the same with Nightlight, “I am so happy to have you in my valley; together. It warms my soul to be with you both so openly for my own fairies to see. Can you hear them sing for us?”
“It is so beautiful,” Nightlight said, closing his eyes to enjoy the sound and the soft touch of the wind.
“Hm,” Nightmare chuckled, “when do they not sing for you, Dreamy?”
Dream chuckled in return. “This is different, Nighty. It’s not just for me, but for us, and that makes the song all the sweeter.”

My friend had a ask as she doesn't have a tumblr => Hello! This is Tifa, da friend of Turtle! First off I wanna say that fairyverse is awesome and love it to bits! Secondly, I wanna ask how fairies perceive hobbit homes? Like, how would these fairies react to seeing someone make an artificial hill that’s essentially the home. Looking like a hill on the outside but once in is comfy and homely place, similar to the Hobbit of the LoTR's franchise.
Some fairies would suspect these big folk for being trolls in disguise, because only trolls make big homes underground, right? Well, once they realise that these people are, indeed, not trolls, then they will feel curious as to why they’ve dug a homely hole in the ground. Doesn’t big folk prefer to live in houses made of wood and stone? How peculiar. They just might sneak in to explore, so be prepared for spring fairies snatching trinkets and making your goblets and glasses clink together as they fly and walk about.

Hello, you lovely small folk! I just wanted to say that if you’ve sent an Ask and I haven’t responded to it, then it might just be because 1. I’m just not in the right headspace to write a proper response yet and am waiting until I feel ready. 2. I just don’t feel like it yet but know I will eventually get back to it. 3. I don’t know how to respond so instead of struggling with it I just let it go. And 4. I feel uncomfortable or don’t think the question fits the universe of Fairyverse, so I delete it.
Now, I don’t want this to discourage any of you. I have a lot of things going on in my personal life, plus I have other projects I’m working on, so this blog isn’t always my first priority. I try my best to give you all some satisfaction by answering your questions, but it’s just me (Vala) who writes for this blog, and sometimes I just need to take things slow so I don’t burn out.
I am extremely grateful for all of you who show so much interest and love in this AU, it makes me incredibly happy, and because of that, I felt that I needed to give a reason for why your specific Ask might not have been replied to yet.
... Well, now that that is done, I guess it’s back to writing some whimsical fairy replies. Toodles!
