this episode confirming that alice more or less knows what happened to sam makes all of their conversations about ignoring their work so interesting. like, not only does she know the supernatural is out there. she knows HE knows. and there's literally someone with her last name on the spreadsheet of all the "gifted kids" she could have been there with him!! maybe SHE was the one they chose! either way, she's definitely given up on her own closure. she sees her own ignorance as a way to keep her safe, so OBVIOUSLY she's going to push sam to do the same but that doesn't mean she's more in the right it's just the coping mechanisms they've found involve them walking in opposite directions
