Day 4: Angry Confessions/END

"So, what's happening Lucy?" Erza asked her so seriously that Lucy had to take a step back, did she do something wrong?

"Eh! Nothing?" She answered doubtful.

"Erza! She doesn't know anything yet!" Mira waved her hands frantically.

Lucy looked at both of them suspiciously, yeah she was late to the guild by an hour but what could have happened in that short span of time, but then again we are talking about fairytail anything can happen here, Lucy sweat-dropped.

"Natsu kissed some chic" Cana announced and chugged her beer, Erza and Mira gasped at the mention, while Lucy was baffled.

"Cana-san it was not exactly like that." Wendy intertwined.

"Now Lucy is malfunctioning." Erza sighed disapprovingly, it was then that Lucy remembered how to breath.

'Natsu kissed a girl? He was dating? She didn't know about it, he liked someone? How come she never realised it before? How come everyone else knew? What happened? When happened? Why happened? Wait was that even true?' Her train of thoughts came to an abrupt halt and she looked at the girls questioningly or rather accusingly for making wrong assumptions.

"Yukino came to the guild today looking for Natsu asking if she can kiss him and then both of them disappeared together." Mira told her nearly in tears.

Lucy's brain was still not ready to accept that, huh? It doesn't make sense, Yukino and Natsu? How is that even possible.

"I am sorry Lucy" Erza said putting a sympathetic hand on her shoulder.

"I'll punish him for breaking your heart when he is back in the guild." Erza stated menacingly.

The sight of poor Natsu getting attacked by Erza for being in love with someone else, made Lucy's heart ache.

"Why would you punish him, it's not like he did anything wrong and what do you mean he broke my  heart, he can be in love with anyone." Lucy tried to sound airy but the awkwardness was clear, it was not even like they were dating but her friends made it sound like he just cheated on her, and to be honest Lucy did get the feeling of being cheated and she hated that.

Tears formed in the corner of her eyes, she didn't want to cry in front of her guild mates, that too over a guy who was not even hers to begin with, she said her farewell and went home.

"Lucy." Mira whispered softly when she left but she didn't want their pity nor felt like talking to anyone, if anything she was feeling stupid for having these unrequited feelings for a guy who was not even interested in her, angry that everyone in the guild knew about her feelings even though she never even accepted them publicity and she hated the fact that they were right.

On her way out she saw them, Natsu and Yukino. Yukino was blushing like crazy, Natsu's cheeks were dusted pink too, he was trying to give the carefree attitude but she could tell that he was shy, she even noticed that his lips were shining, so it was all true they did Kiss each other, Lucy could feel her heart break into a million pieces, as they came closer, she ducked to avoid them, she was not ready to face them just now and rushed home, to hide her pathetic version.

Natsu took a whiff of the air and knew that Lucy was around, finally the sleepyhead was here he thought and banged open the guild hall.

“LUCY!” he screamed on top of his lungs.

But when the door opened, her smell disappeared and his eyes met that of Erza's who was looking at him murderously, Mira was avoiding his eyes, Cana was chuckling while others were just looking at him like he was the 8th wonder in the world.

“Thank you so much Natsu-san, I'll be going now.” Yukino said bowing to him before making her way to Sabertooth.

“NATSU” Erza barked at him and he got scared, what was wrong with everybody, why were they acting all weird.

“How could you do this Natsu-san” Wendy said looking annoyed at him, he was taken aback, what had he done?

“I thought you had a thing for Lucy.” Mira said softly knowing well that he would be hearing that.

“Errrr! What did I do? Where is Lucy?” Natsu asked annoyed, he just wanted to show this thing to her and she was nowhere in sight, instead his guildmates were accusing him of something he didn't even recollect doing.

Mira gasped, Erza took out her sword, Cana spilled her beer and Wendy gave him a look of disbelief.

“You broke her heart and you think she will stay here?” Erza put her sword on his throat.

“Eh? What are you guys talking about?” Natus was getting frustrated now, he broke Lucy’s heart? Not in a million years.

“We know you kissed Yukino.” Cana said smugly yet her eyes looked irritated.

“Huh? What? Who’s Yukino? WHAAAT?”  Natsu screamed making others cover their ears, there is no way they are talking about what he was thinking right? he looked at them desperately not being able to say anything for once.

“Lucy just left, I am pretty sure she must have seen you two.” Mira said.

“It's not what you think. Yukino just-” Natsu tried to explain but the thought of Lucy misunderstanding him was unsettling and he wanted to see her as soon as possible so he ran like a mad man, while the girls looked at his disappearing figure confused.

Tears. That's the first thing he smelt when he reached near her home, and his heart thunded, Lucy was crying? But why? The only thing he couldn't take in this world was her tears, she meant everything to him and yet here she was crying and it made him feel like shit, knowing that the reason for those tears was he himself.

He leapt to her window but the sight in front of him punched in the gut and rage took over him in seconds.

Lucy was sitting on her bed with tear stained cheeks, Loke had his hand on the small of her back with his lips just few millimeters away from here, but before they could meet, Natsu kicked him back into the celestial world, he was panting, Lucy noticed the scales on his arms and pattern forming around him, flames engulfing his structure, was he in the dragon mode? Or was it END mode? She thought and was scared to approach him.

When Lucy had seen Natsu and Yukino together she came home and broke down, she told herself multiple times that she must accept it, act naturally around him, but it was too hard, she always wore her emotions on her sleeves, Loke heard her crying and offered his shoulder she told him everything, and he said that she was acting silly, there was no way Natsu would do that to her and she might be misunderstanding, but when she told him about the Lip gloss, he laughed hard but sobered up when she pinched him but then suddenly started leaning into her, she would have kicked him if not for Natsu showing up, but now she knows why he did that, she really was grateful of her spirits.

Natsu’s anger was scaring her so she called him softly.

“Natsu?”

“WHAT WAS HE TRYING TO DO TO YOU?”

“Nothing, we were just talking.”

“THAT SURELY LOOKED LIKE YOU TWO WERE JUST TALKING.”

His outbursts made Lucy angry as well and before she knew it she was shouting.

“HELL YEAH! THAT WAS TALKING.”

“SEEMED LIKE LIP LOCKING TO ME” 

Lucy blushed at his choice of words but still stood her ground.

“NO IT WAS NOT, IF ANYTHING IT WAS YOU WHO KISSED SOMEONE.”

“I NEVER KISSED ANYONE.” Natsu gave exasperated look coming close to her while she kept taking a step back till he cornered her to the wall.

“Yeah sure you didn't, I saw you.” Lucy said.

“Luce, That-” He started saying.

“BESIDES, WHOEVER I KISS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU.” Lucy shouted as the image of them blushing and coming towards the guild with Natsu’s glossy lips resurfaced in her mind.

“DAMN IT! IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH ME.”

“WHY? WHY DOES IT MATTER.” Lucy screamed trying to make her way out of his confronting gaze.

“BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, DAMN IT” Lucy’s eyes widened at his confession and her heart pounded at an abnormal rhythm, she didn't, couldn't react and just looked at him, making his anger cool down letting a small blush tint his cheeks again.

“And I want to be the only one ever kissing you.” Natsu said softly, rubbing his neck shyly.

“But Yukino-?” Lucy started.

“OYE! SHE CAME TO ASK ME TIPS TO SEDUCE STING.” Natsu said annoyed at being accused of making out with Yukino again.

“She came and told me that she confessed to Sting yesterday and he just said my name in reply, confusing the girl so she wanted to ask for tips, but I don't know how to seduce, otherwise I would have made you mine a long time ago.” Natsu said, embarrassed, avoiding making an eye contact.

“I just took her home to show her the pictures I took with Sting last time he was in the town and told her that, Sting had confided to me then that he liked her but thought that Yukino didn't like him and I had told him that in my opinion she did and he had said that if that happens he would owe me one and I told her that it was my guess but I thought that must be why he said my name during that time.” Natsu tried explaining the situation, and finally it occured to Lucy that he indeed was the third wheel in there relationship.

“Your lips?” Lucy asked, still trying to put things together in her head.

“Oh that! It's her lip gloss, it was smelling so sweet, I thought it looked sick on my lips and rushed to show you but you were not at the guild.” Natsu said pouting a bit and now looking at those glossy lips Lucy lost it.

She started laughing so hard that the tears started pouring out of her eyes again.

“Hey, stop laughing.”

“Don't they look good on me?” Natsu asked but Lucy was busy laughing.

“Oye.” Natsu narrowed his eyes at the laughing blonde and then suddenly kissed the life out of her, which calmed her down pretty fast, before he could pull away, she started kissing him as well.

While the now soon to announce couples were making out, Erza and the others were having fun beting how they must be doing.

Day 3- Vacation/ Magic Swap

Fairytail was officially on vacation, none of the hectic mission, no performance pressure, no rent stre- nah! Rent stress was always there, but Lucy was happy, she had already planned how she was going to enjoy these holidays, she was going with the girls for a relaxing spa day and then spend the weekend at Levy's hometown which she claimed had the biggest library, have a shopping spree with Erza and then spend the remaining days at Heartfilia mansion, it had been a long while since she met them.

Lucy woke up happily, got ready while singing, tip toeing on the edge of the riverbank as she made her way to the train station, sitting by the window in the train she admired the scenery in front of her, which was nothing but people bustling with their day to day life, soon her journey started.

"L-L-Lu-cy!"

Lucy was startled when she heard her name being called so weakly and a tanned hand grabbing at her legs, she looked down at the near green Natsu on the verge of puking. If anyone had seen him for the first time, they would definitely feel pity towards him but since she had seen this scene countless time she felt her eye twitch.

"What are you doing here Natsu?"

'Where the boys going to the hot springs and spa too?' Lucy thought but chuckled it out of the window when he produced a mission paper instead of an answer smiling at her weakly.

No.No.No. she was on vacation there is no way she was gonna get pulled into this, there was no way that Natsu was making her join this mission, Levy and all the girls had decided to meet at the train station, she just had to walt a little bit. that was till her eyes fell on the prize, 80,000 Jewels, her eyes scanned for the information.

"How did you even get this?" Lucy asked curiously.

Puke.

"He just took it when master was not looking" Happy answered, suddenly appearing to be sitting beside her.

"Sounds like you guys stole it. Is it still legal?”

"Aye!"

"We would get the prize money?" Lucy asked like a statement with her eyes glittering.

"Natsu, Lucy is scaring me."

"I did nothing." Lucy wailed.

Lucy was lucky as the job was at the same city that she was going for her spa so she thought that she would catch up on her vacation once she was done with it, the job seemed simple, a baddie who had taken over the rich palace and was now pretending to be rich and living the life of luxury, all they need to do was to throw this fake rich baddie out of the palace. Sounded pretty easy to her, boy was she wrong.

When they reached the mentioned site, they were surprised by the size of the palace, It was huge, bigger than the Heratfilia mansion, the garden was maintained well and had different garden within the estate, fountains, a golf course, playground, even a mini shopping complex was made, Lucy was absolutely stunned by this luxury, she would love to steal all this for herself is what she thought.

Natsu was feeling the way a child feels at the amusement park for the first time or when they enter zoo and see the tiger paroling around for the first time, excited, happy and bubbling all at the same time, as they reached the gate of the mansion the head butler asked them for their purpose of the visit, as they put forward the mission, the butler nodded and shot Natsu in the head, then closed the door.

Natsu was astounded by the attack, avoiding it narrowly, it was then that they realised that it was not as easy as it seemed. Natsu was ready to burn down the door. Lucy tried to hold him back but as he tired to force his way forward, there was an explosion, not as big to destroy any property but loud enough to scare the invaders, Lucy quickly analysed the situation of the landmine placement and asked Virgo to help, once it was all cleared they were ready for the ambush.

Before they could do anything the door opened and a tall, slim guy with blonde hairs like a pop star wearing a cowboy getup stood in front of them.

The weird guy, rubbed the nail file on his slender fingernails and gently blowed on them, while Lucy and Natsu watched him curiously.

"Why are you here, did someone invite you?" He asked calmly.

"As we already stated we are here for the mission, are you the bad guy?" Natsu asked with a straight face, while his hands were blazing, ready to fire the 'Fire dragon's iron fist'. Lucy face palmed at that.

"Are you Mr. Lockhart?" Lucy asked when she saw the exasperated look the weird guy gave them.

"Yeah, I am, but I never invited anyone here." He said looking around absentmindedly.

"That can mean only one thing YOU ARE MY ENEMIES." The sudden outburst startled them.

"Throw them out." He said with a snap of his fingers, giving them a wicked smile.

Suddenly they were surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of people, who were equipped with gadgets that could harm them, as Lucy tried to open the gate of Taurus, nothing happened. Natsu inhaled deeply for his fire roar but nothing happened again, they could feel magic in their body but still couldn't do any magic, they were getting cornered now, like a miracle Happy pulled them out of it and put them to safety, that was, the pit left by Virgo when she had searched for the landmines.

"Open the gate of Lion bearer, Loke”

"Open the gate of the bull. Taurus."

"Plue?" Lucy kept trying to do her celestial magic but nothing was working, her magic was just splashing like waves but there was no output, Natsu was doing the same and was getting frustrated with everything happening.

The wicked grin that weird guy gave them made Lucy shiver down her spine, did he do some kind of magic to restrain their magic flow? Had that guy sealed their magic or something? Lucy was confused, she wanted to know what was wrong with either of them, Happy was worrying in the sidelines as well.

"Lucyyyy, stop doing that."

"Huh? What?"

"You are distracting me with all the flames; I am getting hungry." Natsu stated as if it was a fact, Lucy looked down at the surprisingly familiar flames engulfing her legs, but it was not burning. And finally, it clicked.

"Oh god! We switched magic!" Lucy exclaimed, Natsu looked at her as confused as before.

"That guy he just switched our magic, that is why we can feel the magic in our body but can't use it as its not ours." Natsu just raised his eyebrows, Lucy sighed handed him her golden key and asked him to open an imaginary gate by that key.

Natsu looked skeptical for a bit before he shrugged and did as asked, but nothing happened, Lucy scrunched her forehead in confusion, she thought she might have been wrong about this, she tried producing some of Natsu's flame again but nothing happened.

She had been with Natsu since the day she joined the guild, she knew his flames inside out, there was no way that she made a mistake like that, she tried thinking of how hot his flames were, the texture it made, the way Natsu pointed his hands out when he was making the Iron fist and it happened, her wrist was on fire.

"Woah! Damn Lucy when did you learn that, are you copying me?”

"Why would I copy you, this is your magic stupid Lucy tried explaining him every thing again.

"Ohhhi I see he thought he could outwit us into thinking that we can't use magic and make us return? Well he chose the wrong team to mess with, let's show them what we got Lucy. I am getting fired up.” Natsu said with determination.

He concentrated and tried opening Loke's gate again and this time it worked.

"You called, Lu-cy? NATSU?" Loke exclaimed when he realised that Natsu was his summoner.

Lucy explained the situation to him briefly. Amazed by the feeling of opening a celestial gate Natsu opened the gate of Scorpion as well.

After figuring out the little trick that weird blond played on them, things went pretty smoothly, the army set for them came back at them when they came back to  the surface, ready to throw them out. After summoning Loke and Scorpion, Natsu let his fist do the rest of the talking while Lucy set her fist on fire and went on setting anyone and everyone in her way ablaze.

With their perfect teamwork and experience gained by brawling in the guild hall, they put the army to shame and caught hold of Lockhart, who was ready to submit and surrender within seconds of confrontation by Natsu.

The job was indeed done quick and Lucy was glad that she had a spa day planed ahead.

"Oye Lucy! Where are you going the train station is that way." Natsu said and gagged on his own statement.

"I am meeting the girls." She said with a smile.

"Eh! But it's always more fun when we are together Luce, let's take on another mission." Natsu said casually with the brightest smile that made Lucy's heart race, she reminded herself of the spa day and distracted herself from the blush that was now creeping on her cheeks.

Day 2- Cozy Morning/ casual intimacy

The sunlight slowly filled in the previously dark room with its light, and Lucy snuggled in her fluffy bed, spooning into the warmth radiating from her not so secret invader, she fluttered open her eyes taking in the open window and the wind blowing through it, making her shiver a bit, as if someone switched on the heater, her invader made his body temperature rise a little and pulled her closer, she wanted to throw at tantrum at him for breaking into her house again and entering via the window but the way he was sleeping cutely made her refrain and just give in into his warmth.

"Morning Luce!" Natsu casually stated when he caught his favourite blonde looking at him with flushed cheek, trying to give him an angry look, he knew that she had always told him to not enter by the window and if he did he was to close the window, but how was he supposed to explain that he missed her in the middle of night, that he can't sleep unless her fragrance surrounds him, that he just didn't want to wake her up and loved the fact that as soon as he sleeps beside her, she naturally turns and cuddles with him.

So, he just gave her a sheepish look,

"Sleep some more Luce." Natsu said with a cheeky grin pulling the not so struggling blonde into him and kissing her forehead to vaporise her anger which worked like magic.

They had recently completed a mission, and since Lucy said that she needed a break, Natsu was gonna take a break too, because spending time with her is the moment he counted on the most. He loved waking up next to her, he loved the food she cooked, he loved when she talked about anything seriously, he loved how her nose scrunched when he annoys her, he loved how her laughter was music to his ears.

After getting ready for the day, Lucy offered to make breakfast, Natsu was surprised that he had not gotten screamed at for once and was even offered food but later it all made sense when Lucy made him help with the cleaning, even though her house appeared spotless, it took them a while to vacuum, change the screens, the bed sheets and dusting.

Being too exhausted to cook for lunch, they decided to order food, Lucy suggested to watch a movie and got popcorn, they both settled on the couch, putting a blanket over their legs, Lucy casually putting her head on Natsu's shoulder, both of them eating the popcorn and watching intently, somewhere in the middle of it. Natsu had pulled Lucy to sit on his lap. with his arms over her stomach and Lucy putting a popcom in her mouth and one Into his.

The scene was getting interesting, both so immersed that they didn't pay much attention to their closeness, Lucy was putting the popcorn in her mouth, Natsu had thought it was supposed to be his popcorn and subconsciously moved his mouth to it and before either of them knew their lips lightly touched, that was when both of them came into their senses and jumped apart, Natsu's eyes were completely focused on her lips and slowly he diped his head towards her as if being attracted by some magnetic force, Lucy's heart was thumping with anticipation of the impact then suddenly the doorbell rang, breaking them apart again!!

Lucy rushed to the door and got their orders, came back and sat awkwardly, the movie was now forgotten, the food was sitting in the middle ignored with two frantic hearts hoping the other won't hear it.

"Hahahahaha. That scene was so funny, Man I am starving!" Natsu was the first to break the awkwardness, though he was not sure if the scene was funny or not, nor did Lucy care, but she was grateful for it, soon things were back to normal, they completed the movie and then settled for some card games with a bet that whoever wins would get to let to make the other do whatever they want.

"Ahaha! If I win I gonna make you ride the trains for the next month of all our missions." Lucy said with a mischievous grin.

"No wait, I'll make you not fight anymore for a week, though that seems impossible."

"Nah! Better would be to make you my servant for a week, Ha! Perfect."

Lucy kept suggesting things left and right while Natsu just pouted telling how mean she was and how he was completely capable of keeping his words.

As if fate was mocking her, Lucy lost, she was more embarrassed than disappointed.

"Hal In your face Lucy." Natsu silently cheered while his sharp ears caught the words 'Damn It' leaving Lucy's lips.

“Soooooo.. what do you want?" Lucy asked sweat dropping she was scared  he gonna ask her to pay for his food, or worse make her pick fights with him.

"I want you to kiss me." Natsu blurted out, his eyes fixed at her lips, Lucy  was stunned, doubting that she heard him right or not, then she watched him come close to her and looking at her with hopeful eyes.

Lucy blushed furiously but pressed her lips on his cheeks swiftly and tried to make her way out of this proximity, but Natsu pulled her back in with such a force that she found herself stranding his hips and smashed his lips into hers, all of this happened in such a short span of time that Lucy had no time to react till she felt his hands moving from the small of her back to her neck and another one into her hairs pulling her closer, she started to respond and giving in into the heated kiss, before it sucked the air out of her lungs forcing her to break free and pant like she ran a mile, yet the way Natsu looked at her made her heart skip a beat.

Natsu was completely mesmerised, ‘so this was how the kisses feel,’ was his exact thought and he enjoyed it very much, the flushed face Lucy with those slightly swollen lips, was pulling on his heartstrings making him go for another chaste kiss it did surprise Lucy a bit, but she was happy and that was all Natsu cared about.

After spending years together as Nakama, knowing that he loved her very much and yet fearing that being in relationship was a huge step and would break their friendship, today he

felt that he was scared for nothing, if anything he wanted this more than what his fears and insecurity warned him about and the smile Lucy was giving him made him think that she too was thinking the same.

Maybe it was about time that he didn't sneak in but rather lived in here.
