I've been thinking about soul eater crossovers and brainrotted oops so here's my headcannons

Meister Lucy/Weapon Natsu (self explanatory)

Natsu is a flame-based weapon that can change form based on the Meister's need

Natsu constantly complains how boring it is that Lucy favors whips. He wants her to use his flame thrower form more often.

Meister Gray/Weapon Juvia

Juvia is similar to Natsu but water, and Gray usually has her take on a sword form. (Lowkey she is better suited as a whip than Natsu but no one has the heart to tell either Meister)

Meister Laxus/Weapon Freed

HEAR ME OUT: Freed would obviously be a rapier, and what type of weapon would Laxus be? Thors hammer? Nonsense. I know some of you think brawny Laxus would be the weapon, but his ego and control issues could never.

In weapon form, Freed constantly nags Laxus about his fencing form. Comedic gold.

Meister Levy/Weapon Gajeel (she used to dual wield Jet and Droy before Tenrou)

Gajeel is a giant half hammer/half axe

Jet and Droy were daggers with guns in the handles

Erza and Mirajane switch between who is the meister and who is the weapon. Switch queens. They like tailoring their fighting style to the situation.

Both girls take on sword forms.

Mira's is demonic and may briefly (permanently) cause your soul to be separated from your body.

Erza's is so fast, people can't tell if it is one sword or multiple, and her size can scale at will.

natsu and gray make my heart hurt. their story is genuinally so gorgeous and complicated and gut wrenching. they argue and seemingly can’t be kept in the same room for longer than an hour alone before they’re at eachothers throats, but they would also do anything for eachother. for gray to grow up with the dream of exacting revenge on END for his parents, only to find out END is his lifelong bestfriend and brother. for natsu to find out gray has pretty much hated him the entire time they’ve been together because of what he is. for natsu to not even care and still put his life on the line to save gray from sacrificing himself, to then cry infront of gray for one of the first times, and not because of an outside force but because he hated the idea of losing gray forever despite everything. they have such a beautiful bond, and yes even though most of their relationship is dumbed down to comedic relief due to their bickering and fighting, they would do literally anything for eachother and that breaks my heart and mends it all at once.

The nalu straight baiting in fairy tail is so funny to me because it is not something like Rumiko Takahashi's stories (ranma ½, inuyasha) where you know the characters will be together in the future, but because of Takahashi's personal style she reverts back to the status quo and her characters never get together. No, Hiro Mashima definitely has other characters explicitly get together in his series. It is specifically nalu that is forever stuck in straight baiting.

larcade's entire concept is extremely hilarious to me. he's another etherious demon but he's also convinced that zeref is his actual dad

this makes me think that all the demons of the book of zeref view him as some sort of paternal figure. he did create them after all. this makes it even more hilarious that he wants absolutely nothing to do with any of them. he's the ultimate deadbeat dad. he keeps making kids he doesn't want

any demon: hey dad

zeref: don't call me that in public

this is kind of validated in 100yq cause apparently larcade is just chilling with the dragneel family in the afterlife and zervis treat him like their son. if larcade gets to be zeref's son, ALL the demons are his children. tartarus is just a band of abandoned children attempting to find their uncle (who also doesn't want anything to do with them) and desperately trying to please their father

fairy tail would have been the nr1 anime of all times if they leaned into the horrors of all the arcs. keep the jokes, change their outfits to be a tiiiiny bit more cohesive, and we'd have the most banger shit ever made. show me the emotional terror that erza, gray, lucy, wendy, natsu went through. make everything tartaros-deep. deliora? show us how he ripped gray's mother to pieces (or something idk). show us the political sides of the fairy tail world, how the tower of heaven was able to go hidden for so long (we know, jellal's double, bla bla, but show us MORE of how corrupt their world is)! the hierarchy between guilds, the existence of dark guilds, history stripped down to the bones!!!
