Me & my mom had a great experience at Nasi Padang Kampung Baru which at first it might look like a small village eatery in the middle of the capital city but it has quite culinary experience. For example, the main dish, the Nasi Ambeng with their delicious Chicken Masak Merah with the nice sambal sauce indeed with sayur goreng, Tempe, fried tofu, serunding & fried salted fish. Kuih lopes there is quite nice sweet flavour with the coconut. The day after, my mom packed lunch with rice with dried beef rendang with bergedil and sambal Padang which all the rich chili flavour and the rendang has that juicy beef indeed too. Earlier in the morning, I went to @patatimo for some good breakfast & sudden saw some nice lauk for rice and I decided to have rice with sambal fried egg & a special chicken dish which is Chicken Pad Ped. Chicken with long beans, Thai basil, peppercorns, chillies, all served with red curry, rendang like sauce. Before we head to Kuantan, I had something to nom on so I head to @familymartmy & had Jjangmyeon which is actually in the last day of its promotion. We had an amazing time for our trip in Kuantan during our Wilayah Persekutuan/Thaipusam holiday we had. At the end of the trip, me & my mom headed to @watakkopi.gambang to savour their Kafe goodies. We had chunky chocolate chip cookie, decent chunky flavour indeed. Then I had Es Bandung which is rose soda mixed with milk which is quite nice and affordable. My mom had the Kaya and peanut butter toast AKA Roti Bakar Kahwin. I finally able to visit East Coast Mall during my short break in Kuantan and stumble upon @jiwakopidanbingsu which served nice Korean bingsu and crepe cakes. We opted to have Neopolitana Crepe Cake which the flavours of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry superbly mixed well with the creamy filling within the thin crepes makes the desert fulfilling & divine. I just experienced the best Malay traditional food in Gombak, at @sambal.sarimah. The shop located in the beautiful kampung scenery, is spoilt with choices full of delicious sambal like the green sambal with petai & ikan masin, sambal bunga kantan, sambal belacan plus several nice lauk that served well with rice including Daging Masak Lemak Cili Padi, sambal campur, telur dadar. But the most intriguing lauk I have tried there is the keting which is basically the leg of cow cooked in spicy gulai. Me & my mom was intrigued with @dyslexiacafemy near Bangi cuz the restaurant is opened by someone with dyslexia (thus the name of the restaurant) which is quite inspiring that the owner is committed to provide the best cuisine possible. The breakfast buffet me, my mom and my Bangi relatives had were incredible like grilled chicken, tuna and chicken slice sandwiches, tomato egg and bread pudding. We just went to a long time friends' wedding and we had such amazing dishes like the amazing Daging Harimau Menangis which grilled to perfection the beef with Thai spices served with amazing sweet, spicy and sour sauce. My mom packed me up with this incredible fluffy Chicken Slice and Egg Sandwich from @baskbearcoffee. My officemate yesterday provided with the best mushroom and spinach quiche for all of us in the office. @mcdonaldsmalaysia always provided with some amazing deserts and this is no exception. This is the Choco Bits McFlurry which is basically McFlurry mixed in with special Hershey's Melted Chocolate and chocolate bits, the chocolate melts in my mouth easy! I finally got the chance to try what Sarawak cuisine is all about with @dayangsarawakcorner Setapak. We try some of the nice Sarawak dishes like we have here, Mee Kolok Crispy, basically like Mee Kung Fu, Mee Kolok fried to crispy perfection, served with sweet and sour tomato soup, beef, prawn, fish cakes and spinach, topped with white pepper and some fried shallots. Plus with the delicious Extra Joss Grape with Milk, it'll have a perfect compliment and superbly delicious! The crispy noodles work well with the tomato soup. After the special charity concert we had attended at @pjpac_1utama, we had an incredible dinner at Food District and we had to try several amazing dishes. First is the @malaminihotpot Express where they serve amazing miniature hot pots. Here we have the Express Meal which is basically a sample of what to expect on the hotpot as we have fish ball, shredded chicken, fried bean curd skin, enoki mushroom, kangkung and noodles served with spicy, numb and yummy Mala Szechuan soup making it a complete hotpot experience. We went to Ibis Hotel for such a decent affordable buffet.
