I was more excited about the fact you can now eat raw frogs more than the fairies. And the ability to let your sims willingly just faceplant into the ground to sleep rather than letting their needs get too low to do that. Rags to riches just got a major gameplay twist.

it feels so shallow to me. maybe it's just me, maybe it simply doesn't cater to my specific tastes, i'm definitely not going after people who have the opposite opinion

but old trailers used to be like small narrated movies with lore bits about characters. like for example they showed us how exactly caleb and lilith were turned. they showed us townies having previous relationship with each other that gave me so many plot ideas. they let us hear how exactly morgyn's voice sounds.

and this trailer is just a showcase of interactions. see, if you're tired, you can now sleep on the ground! if you're hungry, you can dig up a frog and eat it raw! if you're dirty, you can bathe in a river!

idk, it just lacks some storytelling depth for me personally
