21 Helpful Domain Suggestion Tools For Picking Perfect Website Name - RankRed
Choosing a website name for your business isn’t an easy task. You want a URL that is both meaningful and memorable while simultaneously describing what your brand is about. At present, it is quite difficult to get a .com extension that matches your product or service, because many top-level domains are already taken. But that doesn’t mean you have to take forever to come up with a catchy and worthy domain name.
We’ve come up with some of the best domain suggestion tools to help you get that creativity flowing. None of them is perfect, but if you combine 2 or 3 of them together, you might get what you are looking for. Try not to use the name that is long or hard to spell.
21. DomainIt
DomainIt[1] is a lightweight tool that allows you to search for available names with extensions – COM, NET, TV, CC and NET. The adult name suggestion if off by default. You can set “topic”, “basic” and “similar” level that matches your keyword. The level ranges from low to high, or you can simply turn these options off.
20. LeanDomainSearch
LeanDomainSearch[2] aims to eliminate the hassle and expense of finding a good domain name. It provides you thousands of suggestions based on your keyword. If you are in a hurry, sort your results according to popularity or length, and search items that starts or ends with specific words.
19. Small SEO Tools
Small SEO Tools[3] gives you a list of domain names that are rich in keywords. It mainly focuses on SEO and keyword relevance. Because the tool is new, you can only check for a limited number of extensions, including .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ, .US, .NAME, .TV and of course .COM.
18. BustAName
With a lot of suggestions and words options, BustAName[4] makes your mind mapping a lot easier. It lets you add multiple keywords, and jumble them to see if there are any suitable name available. Not only this, you can quickly add suffix or prefix, and keep track of the names you like.
17. Squadhelp
Squadhelp[5] is paid tool, but worth mentioning. To get suggestions you need to start a naming contest where you share information about your project, so that people can give you better name for what you are building. On an average, a $50 contest would give you over 100 domain name suggestions.
16. Instant Domain Search
Start by typing in your keyword, and Instant Domain Search[6] will tell you if it’s taken or not. If it is, the tool will suggest alternatives that are currently available or up for auction. The links on the suggested names will take you to the GoDaddy to complete purchase. If the domain you are searching is already registered, you can follow the link to either look up who owns it or to hire an agent to help you make an offer on that domain.
15. Domainr
Domainr[7] explores the entire domain name space beyond the ubiquitous and crowded .NET, .COM and .ORG. It is great for finding short domain name. For keyword “Rankred”, it suggested “rank.red”, “ran.kred”, “rank.re”, and “rank.kr”, which look great though.
14. Impossibility
The tool[8] looks ordinary, but the suggestions are great. It uses your keyword and adds adjectives, verbs or nouns to the beginning or end of the keyword. You can choose among 4-letter, 5-letter or 6-letter options or simply decide to mix anything with your keyword. Most of the available domain purchase options are linked to GoDaddy.
13. I Want My Name
I Want My Name[9] works best if you already have a name in mind. Enter the address you want, and it will let you know it it’s up for grabs. They will show you the same name with hundreds of different extensions. You can filter results by hiding unavailable domains.
12. DomainTools
DomainTools[10] aggregate for-sale listing and domain auctions from big domain sales platforms. It suggests you according to the keyword popularity metrics. You can adjust the filters and sort order until the results match your criteria, then quickly add them to your Favorites for later review. Moreover, the advanced search option allows you to add expiring domain, specify which top-level domain to include, and limit the domain length.
11. Dot-o-mator
Dot-0-mator[11] works by combining two keywords. Enter as many words as you want in the left box, then select some endings. You can either type your own words or select from the dropdown options. Hit combine button, and it will show you some meaningful combinations of the words you have entered. If you want a random name, you can use Web 2.0 Name Generator[12].
10. DomainTyper
DomainTyper[13] is intuitive, fast and easy-to-use suggestion tool. Just enter the keywords and it will show whether the name is available, while also generating related and random names. You can explicitly check names with other country extensions, and their registration price.
9. Name.com
Name.com[14] not only searches by keyword or phrase, but it analyzes what you are trying to communicate with your domain. It locates all suitable alternative phrases/words to communicate the same meaning. Also, it discovers all available domains that can be registered in multiple extensions and languages. For instance, you can make your URL short by integrating keywords to the right of the dot with domain like .FORSALE, .ROCKS, .LIVE, .VIDEO, and more.
8. NameStation
NameStation[15] uses 18 different ways to generate domain names based on keywords, concepts and categories. All you need to do is enter a few keywords and it will give you thousands of combinations with synonyms, right after combining and blending around 200 niche wordlists. Suggestions are often based on semantic relations. You can use the advanced search option to filter out random adjectives, or include the exact word.
7. DomainsBot
DomainsBot[16] provides a list of site names given a word or sentence. Type your search term or the names that is not available and it will return similar available, expired or for-sale domain names. A search for “rankred” returned  choices like “rankruby”, “redranks”, “redclub”, etc. That’s not so catchy, but it does seem like a valuable tool. What’s really great is, it shows you the list of domain registrars offering the site name you are looking for, along with their price tag.
6. Business Name Generator
Business Name Generator[17] is a quick and simple tool created by Shopify to check domain availability quickly. Just enter the keyword and it will show you thousands of appropriate domain names containing your keyword. Furthermore, you can register your domain name through Shopify itself, no configuration needed.
5. Domize
Domize[18] offers speed as well as security to search names in an encrypted environment. You can check whether a domain name has been previously registered, is it due to expire or if it can be bought. It provides tons of suggestions that are derived from syllables, phonemes, suffixes, prefixes, abbreviations and popular domain trends. Besides domain names, Panabee also checks availability on the most popular social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr. This is a quite useful option if your potential users are fragmented across multiple services.
3. UnitedDomains

However, free registration doesn’t guarantee that the domain is yours until you buy it. UnitedDomains’ service also helps you with email forwarding, URL forwarding and DNS management, all free of cost.

Marco Rubio responds to awkward photo of him and Ivanka Trump - Business Insider
Ivanka Trump, daughter of President Donald Trump, is greeted by Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., as she arrives at the Capitol to meet with lawmakers about parental leave, in Washington, Tuesday, June 20, 2017. AP Photo/Erica Werner[1]
Sen. Marco Rubio jokingly tweeted Tuesday that he was "investigating" a photo of a "failed hug" between him and Ivanka Trump that caught some attention on social media.
The photo was originally tweeted[2] Associated Press congressional reporter Erica Werner on Tuesday.
Ivanka, who is an adviser to President Donald Trump, was at the Capitol to discuss[3] pro-family tax reform policies with a group of lawmakers, including Rubio.
Twitter users quickly began mocking images of Rubio's and Ivanka's encounter.
Rubio appeared to poke fun at himself, saying he was actively "investigating" the hug.
Just left Intel comm & informed meeting 2day with @IvankaTrump[4] blowing up twitter over alleged failed hug! Investigating. Will respond soon
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) June 20, 2017[5]
Rubio said his team believed they had "unclassified photographic evidence" of the incident.
We believe we have our own unclassified photographic evidence that will shed greater details on this incident.
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) June 20, 2017[6]
He jokingly tweeted that he would also be looking into video footage and was seeking anyone who might have had video footage of the encounter.
We are also attempting to acquire multi-angle video which we believe will provide greater insight into this important matter.
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) June 20, 2017[7]
If you were filming at the Senate carriage entrance today between 11:20-11:25 am we are seeking your assistance with an active investigation
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) June 20, 2017[8]
Rubio tweeted another angle of the hug and jokingly added "faces blurred for security purposes."
He finished his tweets by saying the pair hadn't actually been attempting a hug when the photo was taken.
Based on review of evidence & my own recollection, have concluded no hug was even attempted & press covfefe of alleged failed hug is false
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) June 20, 2017[9]
Ivanka later weighed in.

Is Queen Elizabeth's hat a Brexit diss? Twitter has hilarious theories
CLOSE
Queen Elizabeth II said the UK government will work to secure the best possible deal on leaving the EU, as she addressed the State Opening of Parliament on Wednesday. (June 21) AP
Sometimes the queen's hat is just a hat and sometimes...wait, what is that she's wearing on her head? Is that — gasp —the European Union flag? Is Queen Elizabeth II sending — horrors! — an anti-Brexit message?
It is a sign of our suspicious times that the least political person in the United Kingdom is suspected, if tongue-in-cheek, of sending a political message by her choice of hat. Her hat!
The queen, accompanied by Prince Charles (because Prince Philip was in the hospital for an infection[1]), carried out her annual State Opening of Parliment ritual Wednesday, wearing a bright blue coat-and-dress ensemble topped with one of her signature hats in matching blue with five round yellow accents in the flowered trim.
But as she read the Queen's Speech (actually, Prime Minister Theresa May's legislative program for the year) in the House of Lords, scores of kibitzers on Twitter were obsessing about the fetching chapeau on her head. It reminded many of the EU's bright blue flag with the 12 gold stars in a circle.
The European Union flag. (Photo: JOHN MACDOUGALL, AFP/Getty Images)
"Not to be facetious but the Queen's hat looks like the European Union flag," observed Federica Cocco as the pomp and circumstance of the ceremony got underway in London.

— Federica Cocco (@federicacocco) June 21, 2017[3]
Twitter users became convinced the queen was sending a cryptic message about her views on Brexit — Britain's contentious divorce from the EU. Even though it's unconstitutional for the monarch to be sending political messages, cryptic or otherwise, and even though this monarch has never done so in 65 years on the throne. Many have speculated but no one knows for sure whether the queen was a Remainer or a Brexiteer.
Hidden message from her majesty? 🤔 🇪🇺 https://t.co/6QjeBMUm4U[4]
— Sam Willey🏳️‍🌈 (@SamWiseSW) June 21, 2017[5]
Excellent sense of humour from Her Majesty - wearing a hat that is basically the European flag to deliver a Brexit laden Queen's Speech https://t.co/rtrCXx1Bo8[6]
— Giles Searby (@GilesSearby) June 21, 2017[7]
The only thing funnier than Brexiteers being triggered by the Queen's hat is the (admittedly remote) possibility that it's deliberate
— RayGill Gumm (@RGGumm) June 21, 2017[8]
"When the Queen's hat is the most effective opposition to the government's Brexit position in parliament right now. The. QUEEN'S. HAT." tweeted Brian Harris.
"The Queen's hat is a prime example of how people on twitter desperately invent a narrative that they use as a "fact" in debate," added Alex Davis.

"Can't believe out of all the things from the Queen's speech all some people are bothered about is her hat," posted Aisha Zubair.
"Conspiracy theory of the year," tweet-snorted Joshua Fineman.
The rich irony is that under ordinary circumstances, the queen doesn't wear a hat to the State Opening of Parliment. She wears her crown and robes of state and travels in a horse-drawn carriage to the ceremony, usually in May. This year, the affair was pared down and delayed because of the June 8 snap election called by the PM; the queen traveled by car and wore her usual day-dress attire.
In any case, after the morning ceremony, the queen was off to Ascot in the afternoon. By then, she had changed into a buttercup yellow outfit and hat. "Crisis" over.
