He doesn’t bother to be subtle as he strokes his thumb over the base of Hanzo’s tail again, this time slow and deliberate. A suggestive caress, bordering on fondling. 

“Is this alright?” He whispers, excitement tingling under his skin as he sweeps his eyes over Hanzo’s arched back. The oni is so delightfully responsive - Zenyatta finds he wants to toy with him a bit more. 

“Anata, please-” Hanzo whines and paws at the floor again with one hand, biting into the other as he whines and moans, tail seeming to try to curl between his legs despite being far to short. “If...if you keep that up, we will need to take another bath.” The blush creeps all the way to the oni’s ears.

Hanzo's ears lower in guilt, after all Zenyatta has been doing everything and then some to help the oni. When his thumb brushes over the base of his tail, however, Hanzo let's out a startled moan and arches his back, hips lifting into Zenyatta's touch as the demon kind turns a deep purple.

“It is simply work stress, anata. I will be okay.” he says finally once he can find his words.

“Hanzo, you are in a state of constant ‘work stress.’“ Zenyatta frowns and begins to work on another knot lower on Hanzo’s back. “Do not try to reassure me, I know you too well by now.” 

The monk continues to knead out the knots of muscle until his own arms grow sore with exertion. “I may have to do this for you tomorrow as well,” he sighs, absently rubbing a thumb on the small of Hanzo’s back, close to the base of his tail.

Hanzo purrs, using the moment of closeness to ‘sneakily’ squeeze the human’s rear before letting go.

“Of course.” he replies, turning over and moving his hair out of the way. The oni’s little tail wags lazily in the water.

Zenyatta huffs and makes a valiant effort to hide his smile, but otherwise doesn’t react to Hanzo’s wandering hand. 

He pulls away and takes a moment to admire the oni’s broad back, eyes roving over wide shoulders, silky black hair, thick muscles, until he settles on that adorable tail. Zenyatta takes a deep breath and gathers a generous amount of soap into his hands so he can make good on his offer. 

He truly does mean to wash Hanzo’s back, and he does for the most part, but the press of his hands soon becomes less about washing and more about massaging. “You’re very tense,” he murmurs, genuinely concerned as he grinds his palm into a particularly alarming knot in the Hanzo’s shoulders. “Is this alright? Does that hurt?”

“He sounds inspiring and terrifying in equal measure, my lotus blossom.” He replies softly, still looking a little worried though he smiles softly at Zenyatta’s offer.

“It would be much appreciated, my love, but will you be able to reach?” Hanzo teases, nuzzling the human and planting a kiss on top of his head.

“I could,” Zenyatta insists, cheeks flushed dark at Hanzo’s teasing and the thought of what he plans to do next. 

Zenyatta lifts himself up on his knees and experimentally reaches over Hanzo’s broad, muscled back, pressing his nude body flush against the oni’s front. A spike of heat builds in his belly as he realizes he can barely reach the middle of Hanzo’s back. 

“Hm.” He’s grateful that his position prevents Hanzo from seeing the flaming blush across his cheeks. “Would you mind turning around, darling?”

“I think they would…eventually,” Zenyatta chuckles. “But they would most definitely have words with you, and I would not lie to them about how we met.” He pulls back and regards Hanzo with an appraising gaze. 

“We are a powerful order. If they thought you a threat to me, they would storm your castle and slay you. The leader, Mondatta - he can be quite severe when it comes to my safety. You know how older brothers are.” 

Hanzo ducks his head, ears lowering.  “I understand, I would not expect you to lie for my sake or anyone else’s. I would like to know more about your family, if you are willing to tell.”
