we moan about how we're reblogging memes about being an adult or with adult themes (not in a sexual way in this case) and how it means we're all getting old, but isnt it great that despite everything we still find fun and humor in our adult lives?

The rain came down in a drizzle. Tiny dew drops built before the spheres dripped off the leaves of the ancient Sika Spruce and the western hemlocks from what felt like heaven above.
No matter the path, the drops of water always found their way to the crystal clear pool.
At first, She stood and tilted her head towards the sky and let the rain mist her face. It was quiet. Her heart beat in tune with the soft plunk plunk plunk of raindrops hitting suspended leaves. Her eyes shifted, and her mind was clear as she stared transfixed at the lush aquatic forest, submerged six feet below the surface of what had to be the purest water on earth. Water so clear it was as if the very air had turned liquid. Water so pristine it hurt to look at. Water so inviting, she knew her soul would be cleansed if but a drop touched her lips.
She knelt, and cupped her hand into the pool and brought it to her mouth, and knew, as she tasted the ichor running down her throat, that her soul was indeed cleansed.
